This is an 88 page-long graphic novel written and drawn by Patabot (who previously handled issue 4 of Oni Press's original Aggretsuko series). It's set to release in October 2021 (either the 19th or the 20th; Amazon and PreviewsWorld conflict on exactly which date is correct). Here's the official summary:
>Aggretsuko stars in this fairy tale tinged story about work, life, and the need for balance!
>
>When Retsuko attempts to go on vacation with Gori and Washimi, she's pulled into a terrible world where she's forced to work for her freedom. Featuring all of the fan favorite characters from the office in twisted versions of themselves, Aggretsuko must navigate the twists and turns of a world gone mad!
Amazon also has the first five pages of the comic as a preview:

Is it supposed to be so confusing at the start? I ask this because I just finished the first part and felt like maybe a lot of what happened flew through my head as it was reaching it's conclusion. I kind of get the general gist of what possibly had happened and what they talked about with the whole external vs internal world dynamic.
I don't want to get into too much speculation at the moment just in case I spoil it for someone(might make another post describing my thoughts on this)I just want to ask if everything I've seen so far from part one will eventually explain itself as I progress in the story? Or is this a visual novel which I have to put work into understanding what they're saying and then put it together myself?
I never read a visual novel this poetic and symbolic before and felt that they made a lot of references towards other works, which indicates to me that this visual novel might want the reader to have read them before going into this. Hence why I ask you guys about it because I feel that if I continue a story that I can't get a grasp on at some point, then I might burn out lol.
I've been in sort of a reading lull lately trying to find books that made me want to read as bad as this series did. I loved really everything about these books, the dark tone. The deep characters. And Joe Nesbo's ability to keep you on your edge of your seat for 300-400 pages the entire time. Basically I'm looking for some good detective novels. They don't have to take place in a foreign country or be about murder. I'm open to try anything y'all suggest. Thank you.
I'm a big fan of Peter F Hamilton, and I'm about two thirds of the way through A Hole in the Sky....and man, it just does not seem like the usual PFH experience. It seems really superficial compared to, eg, Commonwealth series, Salvation sequence, etc, the characters and dialogue are uncompelling, it's almost reads like a YA novel.
Anyone else have a similar experience? What the heck?
Hi, the title says it all. Over the past few months I've been getting more and more interested is Visual Novels. I've first kidnapped girl (don't worry its half way normal), a free, short steam VN, then Trick and treat, a free 2 hour long, steam VN, then katawa shoujo (mean "disability girls"), and now Everlasting Summer (Soviet made Visual Novel) that is also free and on steam. Also seeing the beginning of Everlasting Summer gave me the biggest moment of Deja Vu because I've seen that fuzzy screen with that gate before but can't remember where (just like the MC).
Now that my story is over, I'd be thankful if you could recommend me some VNs to play.
Also, is the Toradora VN worth playing?
MC is not merciful. Killing innocent for personal gains. Absolutely Should not have this "If others do not provoke me then I do not provoke others" mentality.

I remember when I read the silver eyes, Charlie was 17 since she hadn't seen any of her friends since she was seven, and it had been 10 years. The novel also proves on page three that she left Hurricane in 1985 when she thinks to herself, "What did you expect, that the whole place would be unchanged? A monument to the moment of your departure, frozen forever in July 1985?" If she left Hurricane at 7 in 1985, she would have had to been born around 1978. But at the end of The Fourth Closet, her grave said 1980-1983. Which would make her only 5 when she left. I am very confused. If she died at four she would have to die in 1982.
I know rimmer knew but the others didnβt. I canβt figure it out.
Saw it on Jeopardy, thought it was an interesting King fact.
I put off watching the anime forever, finally started a week ago. Loved it and needed more, so I read the WN. Still not enough, now I'm halfway through Reprise wn.
Wow, this was a damn good story. 9/10 stars. I get major Stormlight Archive vibes.
But I keep seeing plot holes appear and reappear in the story: mostly about strengthening methods. I haven't touched the LN or the Manga but I understand that there are some differences there.
We meet 3 seven-star heroes in the story: Fitoria (hundreds of years old, raised by a hero- possibly the OG philorial) Aultcray ("King of Wisdom" Faubley royalty and descended from heroes) and Tact (an otherworlder, also Faubley royalty, descendant of Heroes and also possesses multiple legendary weapons.)
I fimd myself asking this: Why are they so weak/ Why don't they understand the strengthening?
Aultcray's fighting level isn't given. Although he's descended from heroes, we can somewhat safely ignore him.
We find later that Fitoria has been fighting all the waves our Heroes have missed and she's having trouble: why? Fitoria, on the basis of age (being hundreds of years old) should have a sky high level (our Heroes get to lvl~200 in a few months.) She was raised by a hero and should have some idea of different strengthening methods: in the texts she's not intelligent/ forgetful so we can handwave that. But she says filorial queens can only be raised by heroes . . . she is also a hero. And the Philorial Queen (with weird class up magic.) Shouldn't she have an army of philorial operating at Maximum strength comporable at least to Firo at lvl 100?
Then Tact. Tact has multiple weapons and access to their help menus yet still doesn't understand the strengthening . . . Also, In Reprise we find out that despite the Whips core power- the one power we can reasonably expect him to use- being lvl conversion he hasn't used it on himself or allies at all before their lvl down the exact same way Motoyasu did against the Three Heroes.
Apparently Naufumi's strengthening method is boosting other strengthening methods . . . I call bull. If none of those three heroes could figure it out there's no reason to geuss naufumi would just pioneer it on his own (and have a special power for it to boot.) Also: if all the weapons originated in their own world (and weapons can't be strengthened from other worlds) then the Hero of the shield would start out with a power that couldn't even be used, right?
So I just bought the visual novel mentioned above. I saw that to get the full content, I need to install a patch. I have a crappy laptop so don't shame me, as I have looked up how to put patches in the actual steam game files but from my laptop it just looks different. I Know I have to export and that but how do I know that it's actually in there? If the patch is actually now included in the game? They said once the patch is included the name on steam will change from English to German (I think) but it didn't.
Can someone please direct message me their discord name, and help me while I screenshare on Discord what is going on ??
(Sorry for my English it is not my native language)
One that I can think of is in chapter 36 of arc 4. At the end of confusion. Subaru finds a room with a magic circle, voided Crystals, destroyed furniture and a huge hole so deep he couldn't see the bottom. The room also reeked of chemicals. I've read through arc 4 a few times. I never really focused on this specific area and almost completely forgot about it. Does it ever get answered? What is this room?
What are other plot holes in the story you came across?
I just re-read Jurassic Park for the fourth time, and for some reason, Iβm now noticing a ton of plot holes.
Namely, there are three that I just canβt seem to overlook. Can you guys help me either rationalize the following, or at least join me in my confusion?
At some point before the island collapses, Hammond mentions that the Rex enclosure is surrounded entirely by 50 foot motes... well then how the heck did it get out of the enclosure and break through the fence?
So because the computers/animal tracking cameras were messed up, there were actually dozens of adult raptors running around the island the entire time. So why is it that when the 8 kept in the pen behind the visitors center get out, everything really gets wild instantaneously, and they are immediately and relentlessly trying to kill everything with a pulse? Wouldnβt people have been killed/eaten in droves already since so many animals that relentlessly vicious had been on the island the entire time?
On the topic of raptors, how do we spend so much time watching people get chased down, trapped, disemboweled, and eaten alive by what weβre lead to believe are essentially otherworldly killing machines like no one has ever seen before, to having three characters noisily drop down into a hole and speak just five feet from several adults who are watching over their young? Wouldnβt those adults act like the other raptors, and if anything, wouldnβt they be hyper alert and ready to kill any intruder considering they were guarding and tending to their young? Are they now suddenly deaf and tame? Not to mention, in The Lost World we see that raptors are impossibly cruel to their young and other raptors since they hadnβt had the generational learnings of how to rear young or behave in a pack, yet these raptors at the end of JP are very organized and well socialized. What gives?)
I love this book, this film, and this franchise but overall Iβm feeling like Crichton missed the mark on a few items here.
Also, bane spoilers, if youβve not read them.
This may be one of those nit picky things but I just noticed it today.
At the battle of Ruusan in the first darth bane book, basically all the Sith Lords were a part of the brotherhood of darkness and >!committed mass suicide in a plot to eliminate the Jedi using the thought bomb.!<
The rule of two was not established by that point and no one knew of baneβs existence/survival. Bane founded the rule of two officially and lived in secrecy, and committed the Sith to living in secrecy until they could solve how to actually eliminate the Jedi (which of course we know palpatine followed through with that).
In phantom menace, the Jedi council talks about darth maulβs existence as a Sith and brings up the rule of two in a meeting.
The Sith were assumed extinct for 1000 years and the rule of two didnβt exist until AFTER the Jedi thought the Sith were dead, therefore indicating thereβs no way they could have known about it. So why was the Jedi council talking about the rule of two in phantom menace after they found maul and were trying to figure out if he was the master or the apprentice?
This passage I read last night really stuck with me and reminded me how before quitting I felt I had to drink and isolate myself so I could escape and hide from everything to survive life but now in sobriety I am fighting those demons actively and can see a glimpse of the light I havenβt seen for a long time.
