A list of puns related to "The Doldrums (album)"
Iβve been listening to this album for the past few months and Iβm really enjoying it. I really like hearing Ariel experiment with Lo-Fi sounds and this album really hits that spot. Thereβs so much unfiltered creativity on this project Iβm curious to know what the fans think about it.
Ahoy there sailor ape. This week has had amazing things to chat about and very little price action. To contrast the hype, I thought I'd wax prosaic a little about what the next while could be. Could be the doldrums. We've been here before.

>There's no wind here. The Doldrums is a low pressure area from 5Β°N to 5Β°S of the Equator. Winds are famously calm here, with prevailing breeze disappearing altogether at times, making it extremely difficult to navigate through.
>It has a bit of a reputation. In fact, a pretty bad one. The Doldrums holds a distinct place in maritime history, having developed a reputation as a potentially deadly zone which could strand ships for weeks on end, causing them to run out of food and drinking water. In those days, with supplies running low, and scurvy setting in, delerium, starvation and cabin fever could all set in β and getting through this mysterious patch of Atlantic Ocean quickly wasnβt just a matter of first or last place, but life and death.
Here's the thing: people went crazy or ran out of juice here. I think the hype is juice. Keep it coming. Keep the memes coming. We could be a while here without a tradewind and that's ok. We're here together strong. We're not going to run out of morale, curiosity, or tenacity. HODL FAST sailor ape. Fortune is with you.
I am just a few days away from being a 1000 day player. I would consider myself a dolphin. I go months without spending, but I do buy my fair share of offers when the sales are good. That being said they got me on Surfer and Kestrel (her mainly because I pulled 6rs - yay!). (edit: fine you may not consider me a dolphin, not really the point of the post. Moving on....),
I am an alliance leader, have been for over a couple years. I actually really enjoy that, I have a good 2nd who handles recruiting so I can focus on big picture stuff.
We run Doom once a week, and are finally into all of the 4.3 greeks. Doom raid is exciting for me, I feel like I am appropriately challenged. I look forward to running it every time.
I finished DD4 for the second time about a week ago, and I have several toons I plan to upgrade once I get them to 80. Gold is my roadblock. I have plenty of training mats, and gear (at least for what I plan to do in the short run), but I can't apply any of it without the gold. So hooray level 76 on Monday, 77 Tuesday etc....
All that to say....I am hitting the doldrums. Log in, collect rewards, auto U7, suffer through greek 4.3. Build up toons I am not excited for like Fury for skill nodes and Pymtech for greek. No blitzes to try for, RTA is done in 20 minutes or less.
I am ready for the next thing. Just gotta slog through this ocean of meh to get there. Not remotely close to quitting, but I would like more stuff to occupy my time.
I am currently working on, well, it's in the title. A total conversion of Doom, meaning leaving no file untouched aside from code, and said conversion will be based around the insanely popular vapor-trap album Blank Banshee 0.
I created this post so that I could get some advice from the community on what I should/shouldn't put in the game, so all feedback is more than welcome. At the moment I only have a few test files and some sprites but I wanted to get community involvement in this product ASAP. I intend to start properly working on this project (aside from planning) sometime this week.
I'm not very good at wording myself so I'm going to end the post here before I make myself look like a fool :P
Once again, all ideas and feedback are much appreciated.
Happy vaping! Luke

Doldrums just came up in this movie im watching, and i didnt know what it meant (i thought it meant drums, since btd was my favourite song back in the day), and what i thought didnt make sense in context of the conversation. I have a good idea of what the song itself is about, and theres enough in depth analysis online. But i couldn't find anything on the title. Is it a play on words? Bang the state of depression? Bang the "equatorial region of the Atlantic Ocean with calms, sudden storms, and light unpredictable winds"? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol, its just been bugging me π«
