A list of puns related to "The Diabolical"
SEA, EA, Aus, NZ (AUS servers) will need to be playing at 3am-7am or lunchtime in order to participate in Jumptown and Ninetails.
Meanwhile EU and US players mince around with timeslots like 6pm, 8pm, 10pm. Literally ones that could not be more perfect.
Can we please make some noise on Spectrum and Reddit so CIG fix this? IDGAF what its changed to, literally ANYTHING is better. You couldnt make these times worse for us if you tried.
I remember an Australian insinuating to me how it was hypocritical for Asians to be fighting white racism when Asian culture has a tradition of favouring lightness and discriminating against dark people. When I drew attention to Royal Butler's racist dog whistle against South Asians, he was quick to point out on my Facebook feed that 'East Asians do also look down on dark people.'
Why do you think that Western media LOVES making headlines about the isolated cases of anti-black racism in Asia, and spin it as if it is an 'Asian cultural thing'? If there is animosity to dark people among Asian people (like - some Malaysian landlords won't rent to black or Indian tenants), this has everything to do with the colonial hangover nothing to do with Asian culture.
'Anti-blackness' is actually a scourge in the Westernized and often Western-educated Asian elites who have bought into the toxic 'model minority' myth of blacks being uncultured and degenerate, than a reflection of how true Asians actually are. I suspect that is why Eileen Huang mistakenly assumes that 'anti blackness' is an Asian cultural thing, while in reality, it is an 'Americanized Asian' thing. Yes - a lot of high class white collar Asian-Americans do in fact have anti black attitudes, BUT that has nothing to do with Asian culture and everything to do with the culture they have assimilated into. Fact of the matter is that these 'model minority' Asian-Americans that are propped up by Fox News and PragerU know jackshit about Asian culture, and have little in common with Asians in Asia.
My grandmother who doesn't speak English, and has never been introduced to Anglo Western thought patterns and prejudices, is perfectly comfortable with black people. Met my Nigerian colleague - she thought he had a curious complexion and hair texture, but by and large she was nice to him.
Just go on an unbiased YouTube channel of an African in China, and see how they interact with average locals on a day to day basis! Sure - sometimes they may be curious, and even fascinated by them, but by and large, if they are honest, they will report that the vast majority of Chinese people are very civilized and accepting. Very ironic also to see a Nazicel like SerpentZA, a man who reminisces about apartheid South Africa as the 'good old days', suddenly going on about how Asia is the most anti black place on earth.
