• Enchanted --> You're bopping throughout the whole song but the combined lyrics and backing vocals and just emotion exuding from this song has me crying in a fantastic way

• Out of the Woods --> THAT DAMN BRIDGE THE INTENSITY AND FRUSTRATION COMING FROM THIS SONG IS JUST SO RELATABLE AND YOU CAN HEAR IT IN HER VOICE.
• Wonderland --> Goddamn this song is so powerful. The beat and vocals and everything in this song is so good and such a bop but the lyrics are so powerful and portray such a heartbreaking relationship that I end up crying (especially when she holds that long note into the last chorus--you can HEAR her anguish)
• Getaway Car --> The song that inspired this post. This song is fascinating. The production is fun and the hook is really catchy and you think you're having a good time but then tHE BRIDGE HITS AND THE KEY CHANGE CHANGES EVERYTHING. Again you can HEAR her emotion as she's dying in the getaway car. The song just turns so emotional and it's fantastic
• Dress--> You think this song is just sexy sexy but then aGAIN THAT BRIDGE HITS AND YOU'RE LIKE OH SHIT THIS MANS HAS CHANGED HER LIFE FOR THE BETTER. (also does anyone get weirdly emotional during "I'm spilling wine in the bathtub/you kiss my face and we're both drunk/everybody thinks that they know us/but they know nothing about us" or is just me)
• Cruel Summer --> I think Taylor does "frustrating" songs perfectly. The relationship is too passionate to be anything else but love and her screaming "For whatever it's worth, I love you ain't that the worst thing you ever heard?" to then scream/singing "He looks up grinning like a devil" just hits me deep in the feels man.
• The Man --> Again, Taylor with the "frustrating" song. Like the chorus is such a bop, but like you can't sing it without being pissed at something and for me when I'm mad I cry so.....

I just noticed this a few days ago. I kinda get it though, it sounds more nostalgic in the second playing. Also elio looks at the radio as hes crying, maybe remembering the summer?

I first heard this song on a 1960s radio station. The female vocalist is American. She is not part of a band, it is just her who made the song. It it slow-ish, with a lot of violins. It sounds sad. It sounds very theater-y to me, but it was definitely a pop song or hit of the time. I think there may be rain sounds in the beginning, but that might be another song of hers.

Sometimes he will sit on my lap and lean his head back on me and watch with me. It makes me so happy. My parents always discouraged tv, we had no cable until my parents got divorced and my dad got it at his apartment. I've always felt guilty for binge-watching tv which I do a lot when my mental health is getting stretched thin. Some part of my upbringing taught me that tv is "low art" and that you don't want to be a person who watches a lot of tv. But I do, and I love it! I bond over tv with my husband and step daughter. I love finding shows we all 3 enjoy. I love feeling like we know the characters. We are also far more working class in terms of income and financial stability than my parents. We work longer hours and make less money, we rent, we pay child support. Things are tight. We're tired and stressed a lot. Tv is great-I can lay down, I can eat, I can relax and still be having a group experience with my family. I'm still working on banishing the guilt I associate with t.v. watching especially with my kids. But we are a genuinely happy and close family, in a lot of ways more so than I was with my parents. So when my 9 month old son started smiling and bouncing up and down to The Office theme song this evening I was delighted, then guilty, but decided delighted is a healthier reaction so I'm sticking with that. The thought of my kid growing up loving The Office makes me giddy. I can relate to that kid. And he's so friggin cute oh my god. ❤

That happened to me earlier today when I watched the music video for Dean Lewis', "Be Alright." I've heard the song on the radio before, but it was always when I was driving to or from work. Got to sit down with no distractions and really listen to the lyrics this time. As I did my heart just began to ache and the tears started to fall. I know the song is from a male perspective, but I still resonated with the pain of having a relationship end regardless of how much I loved the person, and that I know I'm better off without them.

I would classify Green Light as fitting in the category. Basically any song that you can dance to but is sad / emotional / moody. Lana's Summertime Sadness remix also fits. More examples I want to drink and have a sad dance party tonight please lol
