Just 7 months ago, ICP created a phenomenon on social media when its launch with the price reaching $700.65 on 10 May 2021, making it to the top 10. But the reality soon came crushing down just a month later when it fell to the local all time low on 27 June 2021 at $30.09. It's not the bottom yet, another all time low was recorded on 21 Jul 2021 at $28.72.
Is this enough all-time-low yet? No. ICP slipped into another all time low earlier this month at just $24.29, down 96.5% from all time high.
ICP is now sitting at a market cap of $5B, currently ranked 37th. At its height in May, its market cap was $18.5B.
In terms of development news, there has been very few and insignificant updates. The latest news is 2 weeks ago, in which it stated 3D NFTs make their way to ICP. No significant milestone, no real delivery or real results.

Another news is in relation to $172,000 NFT. It's hardly anything, compared to some other NFTs that had been sold for several millions.
The Simmetri report scored ICP a C- and stated "Monthly token unlocks are expected to drive the price down further", "The project remains underdeveloped as a whole even after years of work" and "Given DFINITY’s progress so far, even at current prices, the project looks significantly overvalued. As a result, we expect that the token price will continue to slide and do not recommend buying it."

I am curious to learn what are the metrics you track while building an ASIC in general, and an analog mixed signal IP/IC In particular. Would like to learn about both.
For instance, would something like DRC errors per layer of an IP be something you would track over the lifetime of the design development. The other type of metrics could be to do with methodology or flows, as in, resources/time consumed to achieve some specific design requirement. More broadly what would some metrics be that could indicate reduced designer effort.

I just started The Odin Project because I'd heard good things and I was very impressed with its approach of collating and present free resources as a structured course, but it's very web development focused and I was hoping to go in more of a software development direction. However, I was thinking that just following any course that manages to keep me moving in one direction for a good amount of time is probably better than flitting about trying to hoard lessons until I find just the right course. What do you think?

Facebook triggered a certain action in the crypto space, and a lot of projects used this weird Zuckerberg announcement to promote and create hype around their own Metaverse or Gaming projects.
I have also noticed that a lot of projects are adding a Metaverse and Gaming tag into their main description and roadmaps, even though a couple of months ago there was no plan or intention to go that route.
I think we all need to be careful, most of these hyped metaverse projects are having a shady development team behind the curtains who are not capable to create something in that scale.
Why?
Because it takes years and years of development and funding to get these projects running, and right now, all I can see are some wild ideas about it with some big promises, and I don't believe any project will deliver anything close to a decent metaverse world.
The same goes with gaming, a lot of you are talking about gaming crypto gems, but did you actually try to play one?
The graphics, game plays and monetization is so bad and years and years behind the games that we used to play, that it just won't attract any newcomers to the gaming cryptospace.
IMO the entire market is just jumping on that "whats the technology trend right now" train, trying to make as much profits out of that hype as possible. When the next bear market hits, and it will hit hard, I am sure that it will wipe out 90% of all the new created gaming and metaverse projects out there.
In the 2018 crash we saw a lot of memecoins disappear, in this one we will certainly add a lot of Metaverse and Gaming coins into the "shitcoin bin" during the next bear market.
