A list of puns related to "The Challenge (TV series)"
So as said I was high the other night and was looking for a TV show to watch and caught a glimpse of this one. Guy in bed/interracial coupling. Kind of seemed like they'd just come back from a bar/or an arranged date/bodyguard service. Seemed like a really interesting interracial scene. But I've no idea what the name was :( Anyone know what I'm talking about? (The Japanese actor had short, wavy hair, a moustache/goatee and was heavily tattooed.)
For me, the cast (some of them)
Sean Bean is a great fit for Zeus, while he may not look the part as well as, say, Jason Mamoa.
And Pierce Brosnan as Chiron is just great, and proves that having a former 007 is always a win. Makes me wonder if they can work in Daniel Craig somewhere.
The rest of the cast, minus the major age difference, is overall goodβ¦ except for Hades Iβm fine with that guy being replaced.
I mean: they implemented completely silent passage for deaf-mute character, make a Binder speak in the second person and whatnot. It wasnβt an ordinary feat to implement thatin a way that would be easy for viewers to adapt to.
I can't remember much but it was a group of 4 friends that would challenge themselves to do things, the episode I remember was them have to make about 1000k in a short span of time
One of the four guys invested into gold and made a lot of money but not enough, so they bet on a roulette table and doubled it, still not enough so they took the chance again and lost everything except about 96k which they then donated
It had the word young or Wild in it

English isn't my native language (not even my second language). But I do love to watch british series in english and if available with subtitles(not often the case somehow). Imagine my confusion when a unrelated looking 30 year old calls the older women character Mom. Because it didn't happen to often on my viewings (maybe Ma'am isn't that common) I was confused but I put it always aside as me being not attentive enough. Only with the magic of subtitles was I able to understand how much of an moron I was.
I hate to pile on, but I wanted to put my frustrations on the Sylvanas arc out there as I found myself completely disinterested in the 9.2 lore reveals that would have otherwise gotten me hyped.
I get the sense that Blizz is hoping we will feel the same first about Sylvanas and then the Jailer as we do about a character in a show or movie with hidden or unclear motives like Littlefinger. In the tv format, we'll typically get a long, detailed storyline that releases tantalizing pieces of information about the mystery to be solved as we progress through a season.
Blizz seem to want to do the same thing with the Sylvanas plan, but the drip of information is way too infrequent and the tidbits are way too subtle. We waited 5 years to understand what Sylvanas was up to and still had to infer most of it from cryptic voice lines. This style in a game that releases 3 minute cinematics every 6 months isn't exciting like a mystery, it's just boring and frustrating.
If you look back at the plotline as a whole (at least in Shadowlands, I'm not sure WTF they were thinking with BFA), you can start to see the bones (ayyy) of a story that is halfway decent: Sylvanas' has been denied choice first at the moment of her defeat at the hands of Arthas and subsquent ressurection and then finding out that she will be damned even after her time on Azeroth is over. Sylvanas committing terrible crimes to break the machine of death to save herself is both in character and cool.
So why did it suck and why do I feel like I wasted my time?
In my opinion it's because instead of giving us meaningful story morsels to get excited about, the writers seem most interested in keeping things a secret. I get that Sylvanas is a mysterious figure and I get that a villain laying out their plan in a monologue is UnReAlIsTiC, but it would have been way cooler if we the audience had been in on the plan.
Frankly, I think the writers have a much more straightforward story than they think they do. I used to cringe when I saw people talking about 10-D chess, but honestly it's a fair criticism given how convoluted they made a perfectly serviceable story.
Keep it a secret from Saurfang, Thrall and Baine if you must, but don't rob me of the drama of some of Sylvanas' actions by making them all seem meaningless until much later. When they did give us some idea, it was never straightforward, but a cryptic one liner from a cinematic. That works a couple of times, but given how SLOWLY we get sto
