I think it would be pretty cool. Instead of 2 separate fights it would be 1 fight going on. The loser of the fight would take damage. Maybe they could add some cool victory effect per battle just to make the last 1v1 a little more epic.
I mean, it was such a great project.
A lot of that record obviously had to do with Dan Marino's legendary quick release, but the Dolphins offensive line during that era was also impressive. The Dolphins franchise holds the record for most seasons allowing the fewest sacks in the league with 10 total, including 9 in a row from '82-'90 (Marino was their leading QB for 8 of the 9, but twice didn't even play a full season). In 1988 Marino was sacked just 6 times, or only 0.98% of his dropbacks. That 7th stray sack was taken by Ron Jaworski in mop up duty at the end of a 34-7 loss to the #1 Bears defense, a game in which Marino didn't take a single sack himself. After allowing 4 sacks against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, the Dolphins offensive line wouldn't give up a single sack for the rest of the season, a streak that continued until Week 8 of the 1989 season. Marino and the Dolphins set the still-standing NFL record with 19 consecutive games and 759 pass attempts without a sack. The next closest team in fewest sacks allowed in 1988 was the Patriots with 23, with the Cardinals and Giants being the worst at 60 allowed. The record is even more impressive given the Dolphins lead the NFL in pass attempts that year with 621.
So what happened?
Their run game was absolutely atrocious. Lorenzo Hampton was the team's leading rusher with only 414 yards, but he did have 12 total touchdowns. His 414 rushing yards that season was second worst in the league for a team's leading rusher, behind Darrin Nelson's especially anemic 380 yards for the Vikings. That Vikings team finished 11-5 and still had more rushing yards as a team, 1,806, to the Dolphins league worst 1,205. 4 players had more rushing yards on their own that season (Eric Dickerson, Herschel Walker, Roger Craig, and Greg Bell) than the Dolphins did as a team. It was the fewest yards rushing any Dolphins team ever had with Marino, but still far off the record for all-time worst in an NFL season set by the 2000 Chargers (1,062). To that point in his career Marino had never had a 1,000 yard rusher on his team and wouldn't until Karim Abdul-Jabbar in 1996.
The 1988 Dolphins had 5 losses by 4 points or less, all against AFC East opponents, including 3 where the other team didn't score a touchdown; 9-6 to Buffalo, 6-3 to New England, and 15-13 to Indianapolis, Weather didn't seem to play a huge factor in any of them. With absolutely no idea where these Pokรฉmon might be spawning and the fact that if you move any faster than what can only be described as "crawling on your belly", Pokรฉmon refusing to load. I've missed every regional spawn so far because I've simply got no idea where to go and constantly having to reboot the app to make Pokรฉmon appear around spawn points I've figured out.
How the hell do you guys play like this?
