The title of the 2012 film The Avengers is actually a hidden reference to the Avengers, a group of superheroes who are the movie’s main characters.

My name is Bobby Holland Hanton and I have been Chris Hemsworth's stunt double since 2012 in Thor, the Avengers, and most recently as Tyler Rake in Netflix's film Extraction, AMA!

Between the car chases, explosions, and up close and personal combat of Extraction - Chris and I and the whole team had an amazing time, from walking through the fight choreography and blocking out the scenes to the final insanity you see on screen. I'm stoked to talk about the entire experience as well as what it's been like working in the industry, doing stunts as a Norse god, and all the mayhem along the way.

In the 2012 Avengers film How many casualties do you think there were in the battle of New York?

I calculated my number based on the average number of civilians in skyscrapers, Thanos’ battle tactics on previous planets, Loki’s tactics in previous attacks, and the general collateral damage shown. I also considered that the first responders and the US army were present. I got a number at around 4,597 civilian and US military casualties. What do you think?
