A list of puns related to "The Activision Decathlon"

Thinking of getting this jacket for a trip in cold/mild weather and was going to get the Patagonia micro puff jacket when someone recommended this. Seems like similar jacket but wondering about the price and if anyone had had any experience with it. Thanks for the help!
Looking for a pack for a 2 week trip to Japan in early March. Was initially thinking of the osprey talon 33.
Came across this bag at my local decathlon. Way cheaper than an osprey, 30L, could get it even cheaper used.

Any thoughts on it?
First let me start off saying Im a veteran destiny player. Ive been here since year 1 of d1 and seen all the ups and downs of this community. I think we can all agree this new seasonal content modo is not working. When they first announced the seasons back during season of opulence (best destiny 2 season yet), I was excited and hopeful for the future, as I imagine everyone was. Then when the shadowkeep delay came I was also excited, I thought to myself how its great theyβre taking extra time to make the first expansion away from activision special. Well when shadowkeep actually rolled around, I hate to say it but I was sorely disappointed. There was not enough content, barely a campaign with two missions and some adventures, and no vendor refresh. It was at that point I sensed things wouldnt be the same, but I was still optimistic for the future.
Season of the Undying was boring. The activity was not fun and very repetitive and easy, there was barely any variation in it. The loot wasnβt particularly good either with no guns really sticking it for me, and they were just reskins of old weapons. Then we fought the Undying mind which I thought was gonna be a huge new part to the vex offensive, but no more of the same just with a new boss at the end. It was there where the sense of dread started. Was this really the same studio? Was this the best they had for 30 bucks? Then came season of dawn. Much better season in my opinon but still not great. The missions to save Saint-14 were incrediblely well done and very good. The sundial was not. The sundial was the second menagerie clone in a row and while it was better than Vex Offensive it was starting to get old really fast. Im gonna take a moment here and talk about eververse.
Eververse has gotten awful. Remeber back when Bungie first split with Activision and the details about the micro transactions that were supposed to be added sounded terrible? Yeah me too, but as weβve progressed in these seasons it feels like eververse is the main content. They get new ornaments and the coolest armor every single season. Why? Why canβt we earn this armor and ornaments why are most of the coolest looking things locked behind a paywall. Its really gotten bad this season especially though. Eververse has been raking in tons for d2 since the split and up until now I wouldnt mind spending 5 dollars here and there to help Bungie out, but now? I wont spend a dime on it.
Season of the Worthy doesnt have ritual weapons, and doe
... keep reading on reddit β‘Γ am a bag enthusiast. I have a ton of different style bags from all sorts of brands. More then I could ever really use because I like bags. I love variety so that I can use different bags. Whenever people come to me for backpack advise I tend to hear a lot of βWow that much money for a bag? I need something cheaper!β There are a lot of people that canβt or wonβt pay a lot of money for a bag. I read on this subreddit about a guy that bought a Kipsta bag from Decathlon. That reminded me of a friend that owns one for a couple of years, he uses it for onebag travel maybe two or three times a year. It still looks great and he paid like 30 Euros/35 USD for it. That made me think.... SO i ordered the Kipsta Lineup from Decathlon and did a video about it. They are really decent bags. Well of course they are not made from recycled material and the only slight downside for me are the zippers. Do any of you own cheap bags? What are your thoughts about them? Here is the link where you can see my thoughts about the Kipsta bags.

As per the preview linked below it seems Activision do not plan on sending out advanced review copies of the game before it launches. Bear in mind this is a UK site, there may be a different review policy in place

Thanks bohemians!
I started a thread here over a year ago now archived and then emailed this to the editor see what he thought. I never got a reply. Posting here as I think it's a fascinating idea even though just hypothetical.
Dear Editor,
Bo Jackson tops ESPN's list of "Greatest Athlete of All Time" and after watching his "30 for 30" special and learning of his state records, it looks l like Bo knew decathlon too. I'm left with the impression that, had he wanted, he could have been highly competitive on the international/Olympic level in the decathlon and maybe broken the WR. He won the Alabama High School decathlon state title both in 1982 and 1983 without running the mile. He came 2nd the year before and placed 10th of 200 in the decathlon in 9th grade. Source
I attempted to make a rough estimate of what his score would have been using standard scoring using his PRs in high school: (adjusted for factors including lighter implements and lower hurdles).
The estimated score of 7,256 using the usatf Combined Events Scoring calculator would have been good enough for 25th place in the 2012 London Olympics decathlon. In comparison, the current WR holder Ashton Eaton, was scoring 7,123 and 7,155 in his second and third career decathlon at Oregon. Source
Considering he was not using proper technique in the discus throw (without spinning his body), not ever practicing the pole vault or getting elite coaching in the specialized events, isn't it safe to guess he would have been an Olympian and possibly set the standard? What do you think of the estimates/adjustments I tried to implement to get an idea of his score, or there's just too many variables to know? On the one hand, given his natural
... keep reading on reddit β‘The ongoing technical issues of the past few days has resulted in some players not getting any of the XP they earned for rank/weapons/battlepass, and some aren't even able to get online at all. The timing is unfortunate in that we are on the cusp of the new season and some of us may be left just shy of max rank, completing rank challenges, or reaching battlepass 100 due to the ongoing technical issues beyond our control.
It is rather a late request due to the new season about to commence, but a I believe a small extension of the current season would be greatly appreciated by the playerbase.
Edit: Well, seems like some of y'all are civil about this post, and others not so much. I was mistaken about how the community would react to this. I have been busy this season and still working full time in an essential sector during the current pandemic, which has not given me the opportunity to spend more time gaming as other players. I saw that other players were having similar issues based on posts, but apparently it was a minority of players judging by the reaction here. I want new maps too, but not so much that I want to screw over players that are having problems even getting into the game because of technical issues with the servers.
