Had my DLA stopped in September after over ten years of receiving it. The lovely PIP stripped it from me and told me I didn't qualify for PIP and wasn't even awarded one single point.
I did the Mandatory Consideration and still didn't get one single point. We was going through to Tribunal but didn't yet have a date. This morning like a bolt out of the blue I had a phonecall from PIP "offering" me an award. I suffer severe mental illness and also physical problems too. The award they offered me was for Mobility. The award is for more money per month than I was getting previously on DLA. I would like to know if it's normal to get a phonecall like this as I've never heard of it. Of course I'm glad to have the award but I feel as though I've been bought off a bit as my DLA award was for Mental and Physical. Why did they decide to award me now? The woman on the phone used the words "We would like to offer you". It's being backdated too. It seems an odd phrase to use to me. If anybody can throw some light on this I would be really pleased.
