A list of puns related to "Take a chill pill"
So MIL is still very much just yes, this is more a me problem I think as I have always had trouble expressing when Iβm uncomfortable (I am a people pleaser to a fault typically and hate conflict or making people feel bad in general).
We went to FDHβs grandparents home for his grandfathers birthday (for those of you about to freak out about the flu virus and potential harm - no worries. It was a super small get together with only immediate family. they all are up to date on vaccines and flu shots etc and I wore my daughter the whole time outside when I needed to change her diaper twice and feed/burp her once.)
All went really well as his family is amazing and welcoming. His mother is just a bit.. extra from time to time and I would like help in finding a way to calm her down and redirect conversations to what they started as. This is just an example of what happened and the current βdilemmaβ of sorts.
So at the get together the topic comes back around to my daughter as the βoh my god I canβt believe you have a baby ahhhβ shine hasnβt quite worn off yet. His grand parents are insanely excited to be great grandparents itβs adorable.
But anyways his mother starts asking about the nursery we have for her. It isnβt even REMOTELY set up. We have no furniture or anything to make it a nursery currently. Itβs been emptied and cleaned out for her but outside of that nada. We just have a bassinet next to our bed for the time being (I refuse to sleep away from her until we get a baby cam to keep an eye on her). Conversation was pleasant and I was excited to tell her about the plans I have.
My dream nursery for my daughter is a simple calm place with room to explore. I plan to make one of her walls into a chalkboard wall so that as she grows she can play and express herself constantly and then for the rest of the room a calm light pastel color with a few fun pops (there are these giant fake flowers stem and all that I saw at hobby lobby. Straight out of Alice in wonderland I swear. Again calm but with room to explore). This then led to a conversation about FDHβs childhood room. Yβall I gotta say it sounded EPIC. Apparently she went all out summoning the Pinterest pta moms of all our dreams to create essentially a JUNGLE in his room. Iβm taking fake trees, fake snakes, poster cut outs of monkeys and jaguars and the whole 9, 10, and hell maybe 50th yards. It sounded insane and FDH talked about it fondly which is rare (sounds weird I know. Outside of things he truly c
... keep reading on reddit β‘Salaam folk , this might sound like I am slamming someone but I genuinely need your advice on how to deal with a colleagues religiosity and mannerisms. Location : office and also the eat out area on the same floor
I have a colleague who constantly gives me salaam and greets me everytime I see him , I mean literally every time . Iβm not referring to the beginning of the day, Iβm referring everytime I come back from lunch or toilet or if I bump into him in the eat out area . Heβll appropriate some of my lingo and mannerisms and act like we are very familiar with each other . Anytime Iβm away from the office heβll be stalking my LinkedIn and I get notifications he views my profile. He once asked me how are you so confident ? Iβm quite average in terms of confidence . He messages me via WhatsApp while Iβm in the office with him . You are talking literally 3 metres apart . Heβll also ask me at the beginning of the day ββ How was your dayββ. Every conversation with him involves dropping a thousand Subhannallah and a million Alhamdillah . Iβve heard lectures where Sheikhs bump into over zealous people like this . His personality is quite bland and repetitive . He is one year younger than me and is one year more experienced than me in the job we have , yet he is slightly insecure about his role
I legitimately would like some advice here as Iβm confused as to how to deal with him .
Let be clear ,I am trying my best to refrain from any backbiting but I am not sure who to ask for advice .
So please any advice would be appreciated .
I think that the amount of salt on this sub is just unbelievable. It really shows that people who want to complain about something will always find something to complain about. (And i get the irony that i am now basically complaining about people complaining)
I think that posts on this subreddit really do not show the real state of the game. I would compare the amounts of salt here to Anthem subreddit in first week(s) after going live and the game experience is just not comparable. Anthem was nearly unplayable to the point wthat people would try to get into game for two hours, only to get stuck in a particular menu, becuase they chose wrong "specialization", while having a specific item equipped. I believe the game itself even physically destroyed certain consoles. I was less hit only to point that i would experience a game crash every 2 hours or so.
On the other hand this game is enjoyable throughout the leveling and early endgame process. The game feels alive, my actions do have consequences and I can't wait to start playing again, which is what i should really feel.
Please allow me to go through the complaints I see most often at this sub.:
For fucks sake, he just lost his entire family in ONE DAY!
Give him a break...
It seems like this sub is melting down over the deadline and it's kinda ridiculous, we traded an average safety who didn't want to be here and a 3rd string RB who just yesterday this sub wanted to cut, it's not like I've seen some here suggesting that we're giving up on the season, Tramon Williams played safety under Pettine, and will likely move there now making room for Josh Jackson to get snaps, the drop off probably won't be that significant, especially because Tramon actually wants to be here. We have a great roster, a top 10 head coach, a GM who is yet to make a mistake, and most of all Aaron Rodgers, we can still win the super bowl this year, so why don't we stop whining like we haven't been one of the most successful franchises of the last quarter century
I get that most of us are ready to gather around AAC with torches and rope after less than 12 hours of free agency, but let's settle down for a second.
Although at face value there seems to be some drastic miscalculation on the front office's part about how fast free agency would move this year (Cuban's "most deals don't get done on the first day" when actually most of the good players have been scooped up already) and the trade idea for Olynyk and Jones as the reason to miss out on the feeding frenzy is absolutely absurd, we really don't know what's going on behind the scenes.
There has to be more to this Miami story than we're getting - like picks or something being included. No way Dallas sat out free agency for a deal for mere role players (and an overpaid one at that) which they could have always done later - just to help our enemy Miami score a star free agent in a timely fashion. And did Miami kill such a trade simply because they didn't want to give up Jones? More likely we were discussing a trade for other Miami guys like Dragic, Whiteside or Adebayo and Miami tried to sell us on the Olynyk thing instead and we said "we'll consider it with x, y, z sweeteners" which Miami weren't willing to provide. We just don't know. But it's better we pulled out if it wasn't a good deal.
There were a lot of guys we wanted who have been scooped up, but on the other hand, most stayed with his current team (Bev, Harris, Middleton, Ross, Vuc, Barnes) or are involved in S&Ts (Durant, DLo, Butler, Brogdon, Rozier, Kemba).
Randle, T. Young, Bodganovic, Aminu, Ed Davis and Lamb would have all been great pickups on the deals they got. Those deals hurt that we weren't pushing harder to sign them. But really, this is the fastest free agency I've ever seen, and most of the deals are within reason unlike in 2016. I feel like there was more tampering going on this pre-free agency than ever before and that meant things fell in place very quickly. We're one of the teams left out in the cold. However, we haven't made any desperation moves. And there's got to be stuff happening behind the scenes.
Let's give them a week before we start calling for Donnie and Cuban's heads. It doesn't look good right now, but they've salvaged seasons from worse before (such as turning the post-DAJ fiasco into DWill and Zaza and still making the playoffs.)
He sure was a great man
