Pakistan has acquired Turkish reconnaissance and strike drones Bayraktar TB2, reports TRT in Russian with reference to the Pakistan Strategic Forum, known for its proximity to the Pakistani army. It is reported that at this stage Pakistan has purchased one batch (6 units) of UAVs. As part of a comprehensive agreement signed in mid-2021, Islamabad ordered Bayraktar TB2 from Baykar and signed an agreement with TAI to jointly develop a larger ANKA-S UAV.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistani Armed Forces, Nadim Raza, visited the Baykar UAV research and production center in March 2021.
Pakistan is trying to develop its own UAVs. In this context, in August 2021, Turkish TUSAΕ and Pakistani NESCOM signed a contract for the development and modernization of ANKA attack UAVs. According to the information received, Pakistan has already deployed a Bayraktar TB2 UAV in the border areas with India.
It is likely that the drones will be shown to the Pakistani public for the first time at the Pakistan Day Parade this year on March 23, the Pakistan Strategic Forum notes.
Turkish UAVs attracted the attention of the international community after their effective use in Syria, Libya, as well as during military operations in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan in 2020. Thus, the Bayraktar TB2 UAVs acquired by Baku, along with artillery crews, made a significant contribution to the victory in the second Karabakh war.
In recent months, it has become known about the interest in Turkish drones from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Latvia, Albania and other countries. Military UAVs in quantities ranging from several dozen to single units have already been delivered to Poland, Qatar, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Somalia. Iraq, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Oman, Nigeria, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia are considering buying or have already signed contracts.
The advantage of Turkish devices is their cheapness, fluctuating within one to two million dollars per unit. In addition, their characteristics are constantly being revised due to their widespread use in real combat operations.

The Iranian attempt at crossing has brought no fighter coverage, and they will be punished for this mistake. Our F-4s will move to strike the advancing hordes of Iranian units from their bastions in the sky. Utilizing their standoff munitions, we will begin bombing the Iranian forces as soon as they cross the border, this will be focused primarily on command units and HVTβs rather than the general mob who will suffer a far worse fate. TB2 drones armed with UMTAS missiles will move to hound the Iranian forces throughout their entire force depth aiming to disorganize and confuse their forces to allow easy mopping up by the Land Forces. This also has the secondary effect of allowing our primary fighter assets to remain in reserve against a possible EU attack. While the Iranians have brought no fighters, we must remain vigilant and as such F-16s will be running a 24/7 SEAD operation to prevent hostile radars from engaging the drone swarm assailing their forces. Supporting this effort will be Bayraktar Mini UAV which will allow themselves to be targeted by hostile SAMs and allow their engagement.
While this operation is being conducted, it is imperative that Tabriz,Kermanshah and Hamadan airbase be knocked out of commission for the duration of the war. To accomplish this operation it will be engaged by Turkish F-16s who will launch SOM(will be launched from outside of their SAM range) missiles against the threat. This strike package will comprise 48 missiles per airbase(targeting hangers, fuel depots, and munitions depots along with base facilities rather than the runway itself) which should be sufficient to overwhelm the Iranians considering the overall lack of planning, a second strike will arrive 15 minutes later to time with the beginning of recovery operations. Following this strike, we will be conducting operations aimed at harassing supply efforts via routine regular SOM strikes on interchanges and supply depots behind the front lines.
