Lets take this one for example.
If the values here are accurate, and the Cromwell B gets 50d/s traverse speed with terrain resistances improved as follows:
Hard terrain resistance 0.90-> 0.50 Medium terrain resistance 1.00-> 0.60 Soft terrain resistance 1.80-> 1.50
this tank will dance around most other tanks it meets in the game.
In the hands of a skilled player .... this has written OP on it from the start. Not to mention in Skirmishes where it only meets t6 :)
I am not complaining since I'll be getting one of these, but if I wouldn't have a Cromwell already, would there be any point in me spending time grinding it out once I have the B one?
The same goes for the other 2 tanks, which get buffs in different ways, while losing some hp/t but they actually get significant buffs to terrain resistances or armor.
The Rudy has lower terrain resistances and slightly better gun handling while having lower hp/t which kind of evens out. But while the turret armor seems the same, if you look at the actual 3d model of the turret you'll see the Rudy has less weak spots on the turret even if the max armor is the same.
IS-2 - not sure about this guys terrain resistances but what I can say is the frontal armor buff of 10mm is rather huge at t7 since a bunch of tanks have around 140ish mm of penetration(like the Comet) and so they can penetrate reliably the un-angled front of the chinese IS-2 but not of the Russian one which with the sloping gets around 165-175mm, except a couple of weakspots that are 100mm.
Is the new WG policy related to premium tanks to make them better than the normal tanks, now that they get normal match making?
Is this the incentive they are going to use to make us buy premium tanks now that they see +2 tiers up?
I think maybe WG wants these tanks to be OP at their tier, decent 1 tier above and utter shit 2 tiers up :) This is currently the case of the T-54 FP.
What do you people think? Is this the era of 10 premium tanks per team in pubbies?
