A list of puns related to "Succession to the Saudi Arabian throne"
I have this personal feeling GRRM will give absolute legitimacy to whomever will perch his arse on the throne on the end, on top of the skills that will bring him/her there, because the guy is mad for genealogy and special/magic bloodlines.
Before I start, I just want to give a huge shout out to u/TheWonderingWolf for bringing up a genealogical connection I was struggling to make for years.
So, according to my theory, and despite the Westerosi solid and fruitful attempts of depriving women of their inheritance , a true and fair succession line will look like this:
1.Rhaenys, the Queen who never was. The only heir to Jaehaerysβs oldest surviving child. Unfairly removed from the line of succession by Jaehaerys himself.
Rhaenysβs eldest child, Laena.
Laenaβs eldest daughter, Baela. Baelaβs place in the line is ironically emphasized by the fact Aegonβs councilors try to remove her because they donβt like her character.
Baelaβs first born is a girl named Laena. All we know about this lady is her dragon hatchling bit a chunk of her arm. I was thinking the other day this girl, if she survives, is, on one side the true heir to the throne, and, on the other, probably expected to marry beneath her because the dragon bite might have rendered her infirm. If only I could figure out whom. As it happens, the answer popped out today in a different post - thank you once again u/TheWonderingWolf for arguing about Laena marrying a lord Penrose, perchance the father of Ronnel, Elaena Targaryenβs husband.
There is a lot a connection between Baela and Elaena... if Alyn Velaryon can be called as such but I always wondered what made Elaena to marry Penrose who seemed to lack any obvious skills and was made chief accountant only because Elaena was keeping his books. Now, in the light of Ronnel presumably being Alynβs grandson, I find the situation a bit sick, but valid.
Elaena and Ronnel have a daughter named Jocelyn. My head canon is either her or one of her sisters marry into the Blackwood line and gives birth to a certain Melantha Blackwood. Why do I believe this? Because Melantha, in her turn, has a daughter she names Jocelyn.
But why does this matters? Well... it matters because if Melantha, her alleged Penrose mother and lord Ronnel are all βthe eldestβ surviving child with descendants in their line, the Starks, starting with lord Edwyle are now the true and secret heirs to the Iron Throne. Just saying.
I have no idea where else suitable to post that thought, each subreddit had strong rules or whatever, and I honestly have no idea if it's been said elsewhere, searched online and found nothing.
I just thought it was a marvellous, uncanny thing and hopefully fellow Crown fans will think so too.
I have spent the last week in Jeddah working at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit as security. For the main event I was posted between Turn 2 and 22 manning the track entrances there. Some people asked me to do an AMA in a thread a few days ago so here we go.
For the people that have been waiting: sorry Iβm late, my trip home yesterday took way longer than expected and I had to rest for a day.
Edit: thank you all for the great engagement in the post! I will still be answering questions if anything pops up! Also thank you very much for the awards! Makes me feel very appreciated. Should I get to work another Grand Prix I will definitely be doing this again.
