A list of puns related to "Stumped (film)"
And like many years ago, I STILL can't find a thread about it. So here goes:
My favourite scene is when Dallas is in the vents - I love the music, I love the fact Lambert has to be his eyes, I love the quick cut to Ash's poker face, everything about it. But I find it really disorienting, I have always struggled to visualise the Alien's movements throughout that scene. Where the hell was it hiding before it nabbed Dallas? What was happening when the other crew members lost the Alien's location? How did it eventuate that he climbed down the ladder directly into the Alien's reach, how could he not tell he was safe where he was? Is there a chance we're supposed to be unclear on this?
I ask because there was nothing on Lambert's radar that indicated to me that the Alien was on the level below Dallas, and yet Lambert seemed to know he was going the wrong way when he climbed down the ladder. And while I'm guessing this is because only horizontal movement could be mapped to the screen, it's made me want to know if I'm just not seeing something that other people do.
My answer: "I've been mistreated for most of my life. That made me decide that I will never again be somebodies slave. Not even a child's. I'm not going to be controlled by anyone."

My partner and I just built her first PC last night. All new everything (MSI b560m, if relevant), except for the graphics card: we have a hand-me-down GTX 760 ITX. Note that our processor requires the use of a dedicated graphics card.
We made the mistake of buying a new copy of Windows 11 from Newegg, thinking an install would not be a problem. When we put in the disk and typed in the code, we were greeted with the message that Windows 11 was "not compatible" with our PC. Turns out there's some security measures in place related to enabling a TMP 2.0 chip manually in the bios and setting secure boot to run.
Enabling the TMP chip was simple, but the secure boot is turning into a problem. Apparently the secure boot requires UEFI capabilities. When we try to switch from CSM to UEFI and restart, we get this error. Following up seems to indicate this is a GPU problem? My research seems to indicate that we may be able to update the drivers and make it work, but we can't update the drivers without an operating system, and we don't have an operating system because the graphics card isn't UEFI compatible, and you can see the problematic loop.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do from this point? We called Newegg and they're pointing at Microsoft for resolution, and we called Microsoft and they're pointing at Newegg. Meanwhile we're sitting here with a $150 OS install disk and key that we apparently cannot use, and I've reached a dead end on my research. Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks!
We want a name thatβs a bit modern and can be easily pronounced in English and Arabic. Would love to hear what new names are out there
Help! My vet can't figure this out. Is it cancer? He has multiple bumps/ripples(?) on neck that feel like engorged blood vessels. Skin scrape is clean. 10 days of Antibiotic and anti itch didn't work. This all started with what felt like a scab, which has since fallen off, and now that area (instead of being cut/scabbed) is lumpy and engorged feeling. Like a bodybuilder veins on their biceps is the best I can describe. Vet now gave him a shot of steroid that lasts 2 weeks . Says next step is $1000 biopsy. Hes 1 year old. We're worried! 3 doctors in vet office stumped.
Picture of neck, discolored area is the 'plump' part
EDIT SORRY FOLKS! VET IS NOT STUMPED! DEFINITELY NOT STUMPED! Even though the direct quote is "We're sorry you two, we're totally stumped here. We have never seen anything like this before" PUT YOUR PITCH FORKS AWAY PLEASE, wasn't mean to be an attack on anyone!! /edit
Iβm really not sure what to do and I donβt have much knowledge with electrical stuff. We recently bought a place that at some point, added an additional room to the back of the house. I donβt know when it was built, but my neighbor has lived next door about 30 years and says itβs been there since they moved in, so the addition was something over 30 years ago at least.
So today weβre trying to replace some old outlets, and weβve tried every switch in our electrical box, but there is no switch that cuts the power to this one room.
What am I missing? Why canβt I turn off the power here?
I really need help and none of the tutorials seem to help, so what do I do?
