Basically, i just saw a something from a breeder that said this:

WTF!? when i first read this i was horrified, she thinks her daughter is selfish for not having kids so she births two children and tells her daughter they are actually hers? I feel awful for her daughter, this mother is so toxic.

I work at a small medium game studio. I was moved over to this project late last year and I've been pretty on top of logging issues and keeping on top of things well ahead of schedule. This project is one the bosses have been fairly strict on for a variety of reasons I cant get into but it does mean we are watched like a hawk from behind the scenes. If we slip up in any way theres countless meetings and calls so that we are made aware this is all our fault and we need to improve our processes and blah blah blah. Typical management BS to shift the blame away from their horrible planning practices and over working us.

Anyways, luckily since moving to this team I've been quite strict about logging things in such a way that it saves our asses down the line. I've seen before how they try to frame issues on us so my paperwork is made in such a way that they cant pull their usual stunts.

Roughly 6 months ago I logged a pretty minor visual issue and did my usual process. Thought nothing of it really. A couple of weeks later I make my report with all the issues that we weren't fixing for reason XYZ which were discussed between us and management. They then signed off on this and we moved on like normal. An important note here is that signing next to an issue in this form of mine means you're responsible for waiving that issue. Fast forward to just a week before christmas. I get a text from a coworker late at night that theres an issue at work and they need me in. I'm not getting payed for that so I dont care. I check the work chat briefly but after seeing how loud is was I just put my phone down. The next morning I get online and all hell is breaking loose. One of my bosses, the CEO, was ranting and raving about this minor graphical problem he was experiencing. I ask a few questions and then immediately identify it as the issue I logged 6 months ago. I link him the bug and he doesnt respond to me for awhile. Later he says it was impossible and that I was wrong, "this is so obvious to see. Its definitely new or I would have seen it. You just didnt log it!".

At this point he has dragged about 5 other people into the group chat to explain how disgraceful this is and how we could have missed this. I then point to the bug again and a few coworkers back me up and say that this is the same issue. I even grab some older versions and show him that yes this is in fact the same issue and he just hasn't seen it himself until now. Calls me "disrespectful", asks "do you think

All of this is absolutely amazing. I cannot believe people are banding together to finally combat these greedy, corrupt sharks. I want to join this as soon as possible. I seriously hope that I'm not too late.

So tomorrow is my birthday. My wife and I didn’t make any plans being newyears eve and all we both don’t like to be out because of the traffic and craziness so we planned a nice quiet night in.

Tonight we had to run to our local shopping center to grab some groceries and stuff to make my cake and while We were out she said “oh yeah I know you said you didn’t want any gifts but pull in to guitar center I ordered you some new strings it’s under your name go pick it up.” So she took the kids to the grocery store I went to guitar center.

I had time to kill so I walked over to the guitars on the wall I have been dreaming of new fender Stratocaster for atleast 2 years. So I played one that I really liked and walked over to the counter told the guy I had an order for “ironclad” he said one second comes out holding a tweed case and an amp and a bag of other stuff.

I told him no that’s not it it’s a pack of strings and he said no this is everything and i didn’t think anything because I had been talking about an amp and a case for my old fender mustang. He popped the case open inside is a brand new stratocaster the exact color neck pick up configuration everything I wanted in the case said here ya go man have a good night.

Apparently my wife had one of my band mates go with her to guitar center and pick everything out that I wanted and told them it was a birthday surprise. The staff was super cool and agreed to keep it for a day so I could be surprised and they got me.

The love this woman has for me after all I put her through is unreal. She almost walked out of my life for good if I hadn’t put the bottle down I know this would never have happened.

When I got home plugged everything in and played that opening lick to “hey joe” the emotions that flooded over me overwhelmed me. I was smiling crying laughing like some giddy psycho. My wife was so thrilled. I hugged her and told her how much I don’t deserve any of it and she said “babe the work you have done for this family and our marriage deserves a little recognition.” It made me happy cry I hugged her and I felt that warmth of genuine happiness that I thought she may never show me again.

Tomorrow will be a hard day for some but just don’t lose sight of the goal. I am so thankful I didn’t lose her and that now I’m excited like that 15 year old kid who got his first guitar again. I never bring up politics with a customer, but they sure love to bring it up with me. Started the whole Trump was soooooooooooo great blah blah.

I left him legit with no words after my tirade of how capitalisms is only meant to keep a small amount of the population wealthy and the Regan basically made the "American dream" all but impossible to obtain. At the end I went into the war on drugs and I congratulated drugs for winning.
