I am working on a drill beat right now and I am trying to replicate the heavily distorted 808 sound featured in those songs. I am not referring to the 808s in general, rather the specific distorted sound that plays intermittently in songs like "Murda One" by Roddy Ricch and Demons and Goblins by Fivio Foreign. I have attached links to the parts of the songs that I am referring to. My guess is heavy distortion, but whenever I do this it just makes a very aggressive high-end and it isn't fixed by LFO. Any tips would help, thanks!
