A list of puns related to "Solar Opposites"
I just got that vibe because it follows in the same footstep of having the same animation style and kind of similar characters and VA's but carving out its own unique niche and sort of perfecting the tropes its predecessor laid out while surpassing them. That, and its parent show also kind of went to shit.

Hey Guys.
I was watching an ad about this show and other shows being broadcast on Disney + internationally. Then I thought to myself that "why is this show feel familiar ?". So I did some research and found out that it's from one of the guys that made "Rick and Morty" and then it started to make sense.
Looking at the plot and the characters, I decided to check the show out but then I realized that the show wasn't available anywhere in my region.
As I was about to give up, Fox Africa came to my rescue. They acquired the show and it will broadcast every Monday starting from 3rd of May at 20:30.
I'm was so excited that I wanted the week to end once I found out about it last week Monday. So now I want to know your favorite characters or probably episodes. I want to psych myself up before Monday reaches.
Thanks !!
Anyone else watching when it releases 9pm?
Would you guys say that the second season is trippier than the first season, if at all? Was wondering cause I havenβt seen season 2 yet and would wanna watch it on acid if it has some trippy episodes like Rick and Morty. Iβve seen season 1 and loved it but I wouldnβt say itβs a trippy show to watch.
The Solar Opposites Almost Get an Xbox
Finally! It's season finale time again! The Solars learn about death!
As this is the season finale, spoiler tags are not necessary in this thread.
I just finished season 2 of solar opposites on Hulu. A cartoon made by the same guys who make Rick and Morty. In the final episode the main character a alien Corvo has a mini rant at the beginning credits.
βI hate Earth. Itβs a horrible home. People are stupid. They love having robots do their jobs, but they donβt create a system of universal income so they can have money after the robots take their jobs. It makes no sense!!β
Even the aliens get it!!!
Lately I have noticed a massive uptick in fan demand for the show to become 100 percent focused on the wall and completely disregard the adventures of the alien family. This concerns me because it is sounding like these kinds of fans are becoming very toxic and entitled and this kind of behavior has ruined a lot of fanbases like Star Wars, Game Of Thrones, The Last Of Us, and Rick and Morty. I donβt want debates over these shows, I am just referencing them to make my point. The Rick and Morty Fanbase has been such a toxic Fanbase as some fans were making demands on Szechwan sauce and throwing tantrums at McDonaldβs over it and solar opposites was made by one of the guys who made Rick and Morty. I am very concerned that the solar opposites Fanbase is becoming bratty over the wall and acting like the wall is all that matters to them. The wall got increased focus in season 2 but it came at the cost of much less screen time for the aliens. As a result, the wall managed to ruin over half of the Apple Pencil pro episode by turning the alien plot of it into a mean spirited mess. However, the increased focus on the wall is apparently not enough for wall fans as I saw some posts just now that these fans want the wall to be completely focused on for the whole series
[Please forgive me for the long title and if this has already been discussed in length; I am new to this thread & I donβt want to unnecessarily waste anyoneβs time. With that said,]
Can anyone explain why production and release of Solar Opposites is so much faster than Rick and Morty?
Look, I have a basic understanding of the struggles in the past for a small and obscure show like Rick and Morty. But at this current moment, Rick and Morty is the flagship show for Adult Swim, and it has pop culture recognition. Yet, the new and unproven show Solar Opposite Season 1 dropped in early May 2020. Season 2 just dropped less than a year later (March 2021). Meanwhile, Rick and Morty Season 4 dropped early November 2019. Season 5 will drop...?
I am not hating on Solar Opposites. I have actually enjoyed Season 1, and I recommend giving it a try. Yet, I havenβt seen or heard of an explanation on why thereβs such a slow roll out on Season 5 in comparison to Solar Opposites. Unless its just the mouse with the big bank account that owns Hulu...
Edit 1: Solar Opposites Season 2 drops March 26, 2021.
Season 2 of Solar Opposites is now streaming! I was randomly browsing Hulu and was surprised to see that season 2 is now available (in the U.S. at least).

Is it just me or is Solar Opposites season 2 much stronger than any season of Rick and Morty? I love the all out wackiness and crazy situations that the writers put the aliens in and I would watch an entire series based on the wall.
I assumed it would be similar to Rick and Morty since itβs the same writers and voice actors and animation, but the writing stands alone incredibly clever and unexpected depth. The jokes they fit in hit a mile a minute and you get all the wacky scifi hijinks and social commentary of Rick and Morty with a fresh story.
Episode 7 can stand alone as an amazing parody and tribute to adventure cinema that simultaneously takes place in and out of the Solar Opposites storyline and universe.
What are other peopleβs impressions of this show?
Theyβre both great shows in their own right. but I was wondering what fans think strengths, weaknesses, which one they like better Iβm heavy leaning towards SO I feel like R&M takes itself a little too seriously theses days
Is it possible to fit a dystopian-revolutionary-action movie in just over 21 minutes? As I recently learned from the television series Solar Opposites, the answer is Yes (provided you cheat, just a little).
Written by Dominic Dierkes, this mini-movie inside of a tv show is a marvel of screenwriting efficiency. It establishes characters, stakes, and world, pays off arcs, and unfolds a complete plot in less time than it took The Phantom Menace to introduce Anakin Skywalker. Best of all, we can examine some of the tricks and shortcuts Dierkes used to accomplish this feat to better understand the tropes of this style of movie-making, and what we, as the audience, expect to see in these types of films.
To set the scene: Solar Opposites is a comedic animated show about four aliens (and a pupa) that are living on Earth. The main storyline deals with their antics, but we are concerned with the B-story that runs concurrently with the first season, which focuses on The Wall.
At the start of season 1, Yumyulak, one of the younger aliens, uses hyper-advanced alien technology--what the show refers to as βsci-fi shitβ--to shrink a human down to an inch tall and place him in a terrarium he has installed in the wall of his room.
Throughout the rest of the season, we periodically check in on The Wall, as Yumyulak adds more and more unfortunate souls to his collection. Reasons for shrinking vary, from a method to get out of jams, a response to being offended, or just the bad luck of being of a collectible nature--one poor sucker is shrunk simply for having a red shirt, something Yumyulak didnβt have yet.
Fed only haphazardly by the indifferent Yumyulak or by his slightly more kind-hearted sister Jesse, and then only candy, the situation among the humans inside The Wall quickly turns grim. It starts as a simple post-apocalyptic wasteland, with roving gangs of people making weapons and armor out of whatever scraps of material are at hand in order to fight and kill for food. Eventually, things settle when a tin-pot dictator called The Duke rises to power.
The Duke--always referred to, hilariously, as βThe Duke,β even when directly addressed--establishes a semblance of order in The Wall, but at a terrible cost. All rule infractions appear to carry the same penalty: death.
Social stratification is extreme. The lowest levels of The Wall are for the poor, dirty working class, living in barely survivable conditions in order to sustain the luxuries of the fa
