After ordering my 1st Dynavap, a 2021 M along with an Orion v2 induction heater, I ordered a few accessories from Sneaky Pete. I was mainly looking for glass stems to pair with the Dynavap tip, but these half-bowl converters caught my eye. It looked like a cool accessory, especialy to someone like me who is a chronic micro-doser and a lover of all things cannabis.
At $36.97 for a two-pack of tiny titanium spacers and screens I thought I was getting ripped off (and I still think they're very expensive for what they are), but I love the results!
No long-winded review necessary... it works and it works very well! I am getting better quality hits with the half-bowl converter... more vapor and more flavor. Mixing the titanium spacer with the stainless steel M causes no problem whatsoever.
The claim of more thermal conduction with the half-bowl converter seems to be valid. The hits are slightly bigger. However, the flavor is where I notice the bigger difference. I get more consistent flavor from start to finish, which makes for a more enjoyable experience.
I assume this happens because the efficiency of the extraction is increased by the smaller volume of ground flower combined with increased thermal conduction below the screen (generated by the half-bowl converter).
YMMV, but for me the half-bowl converter improves the Dynavap experience. Just hold your nose while you process payment 'cause the price stinks! It's expensive for what it is, but well worth it if you take your cannabis, your micro-dosing and your Dynavap seriously.
If it matters to anyone reading this review, the half-bowl converters are actually made by Dynavap (at least that's what it says on the Sneaky Pete web site).

Are there any other reputable vendors I that come recommended here for a cheap kit for a beginner? I could go to the local head shop and drop $600 on a nice piece but we all need to start somewhere. This glass insert just makes it so much easier, I wish I could just always have it inside the wand. Whatβs the safest way to keep the glass insert inside? Tape maybe, although unelegant? Anything helps, thanks!
Really hard to pull the trigger on $24+shipping for one of these things. Was hoping for a Black Friday discount but donβt see anything. Anybody have one they donβt use?
Itβs way easier to use with the glass insert. I know itβs not designed to stay inside but it would make things so much easier if it were. I just canβt think of a safe way to keep it in. Has anyone came up with any ideas? TIA!
What the title says - I was looking for something reasonably high temp but thin enough, and of course, those great little o-rings work perfectly.
I put it at the 'bottom' of the insert and it worked it's way up as I put the insert in it's spot. I had to use a small tool to tuck the o-ring in nicely past the orange rim, and it's fits beautifully, and securely!
