A list of puns related to "Site selection"
I'm an experienced UL hiker planning on an april '22 nobo! Usually I have a tent setup but recently I got into hammocks and I understand that can be a good thing on the AT. I'm wondering what site selection looks like in general. Can I set up more or less anywhere I can get a hang or are there notable restrictions about campsite locations? Also, should I err on my suspension being able to be really short, really long, or does it not really matter? I spent some time searching but didn't come up with satisfactory answers. Any advice is appreciated!
Edit: thanks everyone, I feel a lot more confident! I was planning on cutting down my thinlite as a sit pad but I'll leave it long based on your replies as a backup.
We noticed that after facets are selected the "Clear All" button/link is not removing the facets selected.
Does anyone have a suggestion to what change is needed in our configuration to correct this?
Maybe the November conference will turn out to be no big deal, but if so itβs sure got a curious mix of big names in science, military, and theology on hand to talk about nothing. NASA chief Bill Nelson, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, Galileo Projectβs Avi Loeb, and theologist/astrophysicist David Wilkinson (who heads ECLAS [Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science]).

(Edit: I added David Wilkinson's name to the intro graph to make the theology angle more apparent; i.e. this event is definitely purposely being held at a church)
Online sports betting issues. This past week I was betting on NCAAB on FANDUEL and I decided to put in a five team teaser. However, FANDUEL split my teaser into a 3 team teaser and a 2 team teaser. There was no way around it. I reached out to support and here is what they said, "Unfortunately, not all selections can be combined for teaser wagers. When I try myself I see here that Ohio and Auburn are separated from the other 3 games so that is most likely the issue here."
I asked why is fanduel limiting my selections the response, "Unfortunately, this is all up to our traders"
So FANDUEL is limiting my selections for what reason? This sounds very sketchy and I feel like this should be illegal to limit selections of betters. Can anyone advise on this? Is this a lawsuit waiting to happen? What other sites are doing this? Anyone have the same issue?
As the title states I am a mechanical engineer tech with little to no PLC experience. In school we only learned how to write very very basic programming (move cylinder forward and back to hit a switch). We never learned automation or anything about hardware.
At my new production job my boss is now asking me to design a new dive head filler system from automation direct. For a little info on what is needed. System will use a pneumatic cylinder, will detect when bottles are present, close a front and back gate, then will drop the filler heads attached to the cylinder. A separate system then begins filling (operator controlled). Then after a certain delay will raise up, gates open and continues moving and repeats.
I feel I could be competent to learn how to program this my issue is the hardware selection. Besides the cylinder I have no idea what is needed. What controllers, solenoids or components are needed or even what they do.
Is there a system configurator site, a site I can learn about the hardware components, maybe pay someone to spec out or design a system? Needing any help I can get.
Essentially I would like to allow certain websites to load a resource from my server or even better CDN.
When a site requests the resource I would need to know exactly which site requested the resource, ideally this can be done on the request, and we would reject the if not from a whitelisted site.
Alternatively I would be happy to validate post loading of the resource, that it was loaded on the site which had originally requested it.
As a specific use case, we can imagine a service which either charges to pays websites for displaying its content. I would like to understand how to validate the sites which are requesting and displaying the resource.

Hi, I'm returning to Cincinnati for the first time in several years, and I'm looking for a place where I and my 18-year-old son can meet up with some of my old high school buds for dinner and beer (for those of us who can/will drink). I like having a good beer selection, and the last time I was in town the majority of the restaurants I visited only had mainstream domestics on tap (if they had taps at all).
Are there any teen-friendly places with food that have a good beer selection (as in, more than 3 beers on tap)? I saw the wonderful list of taprooms in this sub, but it doesn't indicate whether the places allow people under the age of 21 on the premises, and most of the links to the establishments don't mention it either. If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to know. My friends and I grew up on the west side, but I think they're more spread out now, so I'm not sure the location matters as long as there's decent parking nearby. I'm mainly into IPAs, sours, and ciders, for what it's worth.
Thanks!
EDIT: thanks so much for all the great choices! We will probably check out at least a couple of these while Iβm in town!
Earlier on Twitter, Good Smile showed off the selection of figures that will be sold at their NYCC booth and I was wondering if they would also be selling concurrently online. Iβm mainly asking since the Final Selection nendoroid is listed.
Iβm relatively new to nendoroids and remember them selling them concurrently at the last convention this summer. Thank you!
Edit: was also curious as to how the site holds payment information. If you have already bought a pre order in the past (by credit), does it save it for future use or would you have to put in for each order?
I really want to get one of the newer Google pixel phones, but my selection is limited to a few major Apple and Samsung phones. I've wanted stock android since forever but always had to settle for less. I have to kill Bixby and the bloat with package disabler and such to make it usable. Not the best option.
I've thought of buying an unlocked Pixel from Amazon or something, but I don't know much about carrier compatibility. I also don't know if you have to pay USC extra for adding your own phone to your plan. I'd really prefer to just grab one from them. Is there a way to bypass my lack of selection? If not, how can I 100% confirm compatibility before I buy a phone from a 3rd party?
Thanks in advance for any useful info. :D
