A list of puns related to "Single camera setup"
Does anyone have any ideas on how to maximize video quality using a single-camera setup? We're going to put future seasons of our tabletop RPG podcast on YouTube! I know I can't achieve the same quality as "Critical Role" as we're a much smaller operation, but, I think better video is possible!
I'm filming using a Panasonic HC-V770 HD camcorder. I would've bought a DSLR, but, many of them have built-in recording limits of 30 minutes. I currently set up the camcorder, match up the camera audio to the episode audio, and cut the camera audio entirely. I'm a novice at editing videos, so any information/YouTube tutorials would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, y'all!
Iβll preface my request for help with the disclaimer that this is my elderly family memberβs house, and I do my best to maintain all of their tech for them. As much as Iβd like to simply buy better equipment or create a proper mesh network, I canβt return the Ubee UBC1326 to Optimum, as Iβm not the one who gets to make that decision. So Iβm stuck with the current setup, but now I have to get their exterior motion-activated security cameras functional again. With the new configuration, 2 out of the 3 cameras say βvery poor Wi-Fi connectionβ and either donβt trip at all, or only trip when there is motion within a few feet of the sensor, and the video that is recorded is choppy. Before the swap, these cameras all functioned well (RING Spotlight battery cameras all purchased in 2021).
The internet package is Optimum 400, and that stayed the same since the equipment swap (internet is only remaining Optimum service). Optimum showed up to collect cable boxes after my family member canceled cable TV, but apparently they did this unprompted equipment βupgradeβ at the same time.
I have been looking at WiFi extenders that do not create a new βEXTβ network name, because 1 of the 3 cameras still works well on the existing network. So I need a single network name to get them all back up and functional. Iβm considering the D-link AX1800 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender (DAP-X1860), but I canβt seem to find any info on compatibility with the Ubee UBC1326.
I would appreciate advice on the extender option, and feedback on my choice of extender if anyone has experience with D-link, or at least can vouch for compatibility. Iβm not well-versed in any of this, so I apologize in advance if this is a poorly posed inquiry. I need to get these camera working again as soon as possible, and Iβm grateful for any help to get the WiFi range back up to snuff. Thank you!
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a pretty barebones security camera setup that respects my privacy and doesn't require a smartphone app or need a working Internet connection to function.
I can't run power to the camera, so it would need to be battery-powered.
I want the camera to be outdoors, and I would like a base station / camera pair so that if the camera gets stolen, I don't lose any of the footage.
I don't want "cloud integration" or "mobile notifications" or "an app". A functional web interface that works on my local network would be perfect. I just want to be able to save my video to a SD card, USB HDD, or NAS.
Hi guys, I am trying to setup a wireless system where i have a camera in a shed ~80m away connected directly to 1 nanostation via ethernet and the other nanostation connected to my router in the house all by cat6 of course.
Im planning to use:
- 2 x nanostation loco m2
- 2 x 24v dc, 30w poe injector
- 1 x UVC G3 bullet cam
Is this the best way to go about it?
For example, if you have a TV show like The Office, do they film each scene multiple times from different angles and then whenever there is a cut between those angles itβs not a cut to a different camera but actually a cut to a whole different take? Or are there in fact multiple cameras being used despite the name of the term?
I've been trying to find a proper solution, but feeling a bit lost with all the different options.
I'm looking for a single outdoor camera that would record 24/7. I don't need any smart features or movement detection, but I want to have access to the videos without having to take the SD card out of the camera.
So I think that a camera + DVR would probably be the right approach here, but most of the systems I could find come with 2-4 cameras.
Can I just build one myself? Just get off-the-shelf DVR and camera? If so, what models would you recommend?
Ideally, the camera will connect to the DVR via Wi-Fi. Is that a reasonable requirement? Are there such products?
TIA.
Hello again everyone! Welcome back.
If you have a good memory, you may remember my last post, about the testing I conducted on the performance effects of Skyrim's various graphical settings. The thread garnered far more attention than I was expecting, especially considering that the tests were only half-finished.
I spent the next week completing this testing, documenting the results, and creating images and GIFs for you to all enjoy.....
And then got completely burnt out by everything, and fell off the Skyrim bandwagon.
It's taken me a year to get through my work, my shitty mental state, and my procrastination, to finally post this conclusion to the testing, and for that, I apologize. I know that tech advances quickly, especially in the Gaming-PC space, and so waiting a year makes my data all the more obsolete.
For whatever it is still worth, I am happy to share my findings with you, as a way of giving back to the Skyrim Modding community for all the great mods I have enjoyed over the years. I am happy to report that thanks to all of your suggestions, I was able to gain NINTEEN FPS on my client, which brought me up from a sad 28 FPS to a playable 47 FPS with Rudy ENB, 4K landscape textures, obsidian weathers, etc., AT A 3440x1440p RESOLUTION!
I am now posting the results here to maybe help save other people's time, in case anyone is wondering how many frames they might stand to gain or lose by changing a game setting, or are wondering whether or not they'll really be able to see the difference with a setting on or off. I don't know if this data will ever make it into an official part of the subreddit's documentation, but I hope it remains easily found in the future.
For context, I'm playing on the following hardware, purchased in 2017:
***Please note that I am displaying the game at a resolution of 3440x1440p. This is 2.5x the effective resolution of 1920x1080p. Yes, 2.5 times. If you're running your client on a 1080p screen, imagine having to also run another screen and a half. This is obviously a large part of why my starting FPS is so low, and if you are running 1080p, you will most likely have a much higher framerate than me. The r
... keep reading on reddit β‘We currently have a Mevo with the boost add-on. We run audio from the soundboard to a USB adapter on the boost, it actually works really well that way. Image quality isn't the best. But the micro USB port on the boost broke today.
I've been looking for an easy setup, emphasis on easy. It's a small church with a small sound room. One old iMac to run pro presenter. We used an old iPad for the Mevo.
Ideally I would like something that could run from an iPad or Android or iPhone, as the iMac is usually busy with the pro presenter.
Any ideas are helpful!!
as the title says, I've had the doorbell for a while, love it, used the nest app for setup and receive notifications there. The new floodlight cam was set up through the home app and notifies me there.
Do I need to use the 2 separate apps or can I fold one into the other?
Am I doing this wrong?
thx!

Hey guys I'm interested in beginning to play some CEDH online and wanted to ask what everyone's setup/recommened setup is for the top down view. What do you use and how do you have it set up top down? Thank you!
I have a Nest Thermostat E 1st gen as well as wired Nest Doorbell. I'd like to add a pair of battery-powered Nest indoor/outdoor cams. I'm still using the Nest app (thank God)- will I have any trouble adding those via this app? I do NOT want to use the Google Home app if I can avoid it.
Just want to confirm before I purchase the cameras, thanks.
