A list of puns related to "Signature forgery"
Hey y'all, I just found out that my friends ex (husband at the time), bought a truck while she was deployed. It was at a dealership he worked at, and he had no power of attorney to sign off on anything, he just forged her signature to get her listed as a cosigner.
We'll be talking to JAG for advice as she's military, but they can only do so much, and honestly...JAG has failed many friends before.
I'd appreciate any advice on the type of lawyer she should eventually seek if a claim is worth pursuing., or even if a lawyer is needed. I'd imagine we could just get the documents from the dealership and then go file a police report and go from there, but that's all just an assumption.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Alright. I live in Illinois and I'm not sure what the tenant/leasing laws allow or disallow.
I had originally signed a lease with my girlfriend, she's the primary on the lease, with my father as the co-signer. When we re-signed the lease, my father did not sign any renewals or anything. They're still holding him on the lease as the co-signer and requiring that everyone on the lease sign a "roommate release form" in order to have him removed as the co-signer. They shouldn't have his signature or initials on anything. The lease he originally signed expired almost 16 months ago. Can they just continue his signature across each renewal of the lease even though he never signed anything?
Also, I have never heard of a "roommate release form" in my entire life. I'm 33, my father hasn't either, he's 68. They're saying that if my father and I don't sign this roommate release form, then they will hold us accountable for a month to month lease which is a 25% increase from our rate on a 15 month lease(1,200 to 1,550 per month.) If we don't sign the roommate release form, they said we'll be charged the $1,550 until we can't afford it anymore and then they'll push for an eviction.
On top of that stuff, they actually tried to have us evicted right after we signed the documentation for the eviction moratorium. They wouldn't accept the paperwork for it because they said my father needed to sign it even though he never signed on the lease renewal, which I would like to think should have cleared him as the co-signer. I'd like to think the since he didn't sign the last lease renewal, he should be cleared from any financial responsibility or obligation. Am I missing something here?
Anybody have any advice on what I should do here? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone,
I am currently involved in a dispute with a real estate agent who is claiming I signed a lease, when I didnβt. I have an NCAT hearing to get a deposit back and the evidence they are relying on is a scanned lease that clearly has a screengrabbed signature inserted into the signature box. Iβve never seen this document before, I was not presented with this document and I didnβt sign it or agree to have it photoshopped on my behalf, so what do I do?
You can easily see that it is not signed, but instead has a screen grab square sitting in the box where I would have signed. The document is signed by hand by the agent in their signature box, but the signature that is suppose to me mine is very clearly inserted in there.
Should I just leave this for the NCAT hearing or do I need to call out the forgery beforehand? Iβm just wondering if I need to state something so obvious or else the NCAT member will take it as evidence. Also, what on earth, isnβt this actually a criminal offence? Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I know we're moving towards paperless world, (and maybe even smart contracts), but we could still use digital signatures to sign a paper document to make it impossible for anyone else to forge it. For example if a drivers license only had a digital signature, and the hash of it was a QR code in the card, it could be easy to check it, but very hard to forge. Same for many other types of documents, such as university degree, land or auto titles, other government issued licenses.
Hi Everyone,
I am in cryptography class and I'm having a hard time understanding the Existential Forgery Attack and the textbook isn't helping either. Can anyone explain it to me?
I appreciate any help or examples you can give me!
