A list of puns related to "Shush!"
She fell limp not a moment too soon, the hunters had just arrived.
For those that don’t know the main purpose of these acts is to move suppressors from being registered under the NFA (national firearms act) and to make them more accessible for the average citizen. Currently it can take over a year to get a suppressor and owning one has lots of technicalities while also being quite expensive.
I’m not looking to get into a gun control debate, but I’m genuinely curious why there’s pushback against these bills. Suppressors only lower rifles to hearing safe levels (they’re still loud just not permanent hearing damage loud) and have the potential to prevent a lot of hearing damage for hunters especially youth hunters. I’m all for them having the same buying process as a rifle, but having them be an NFA item doesn’t make sense to me.
Similar to the ubiquitous "Kiss Cam," every stadium should have a "Shush Cam" where at some point of the game the main screen shows random scenes from the stadium that would normally require quiet, such as sleeping babies, at which point the subject of cam shushes the crowd. I don't know why, but I find the though of 20,000 people going "shhhhhh" and then suddenly going silent to be hilarious and different.
Well, that's my shitpost for the day. Happy lockout, y'all
Has anyone heard any updates? Every couple years they reintroduce this bill and it always stalls somewhere along the way.
(See how I said shush instead of shut, yeah I’m nice)
I’m looking for a new best friend because I get lonely ok
Best friend traits: Reliable. Honest. Long term. Supportive. You know, typical things all best friends should be
What I’m specifically looking for in MY best friend: Silly and likes to joke. Available to annoy. Deep conversations.
Bonus points if: You like classic rock, alt, or oldies. Collect vinyls/ antiques. Are anything but a Leo. Play an instrument.
Arguments to shush any Apex player that says bs like "Apex is a profitable game, Titanfall 2 is not, thats why they don't fix it" DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying all Apex players say this or only apex players do, however it's mostly the case. 1: Profitability it's not a factor here, if they offer help and support and sell it as a mp game they have to fix it, profitable or not. 2: They offered help ASAP, and the game is still broken. 3: They said its "the very core of their DNA" wich makes not fixing it pure hypocrisy. 4: It's a crime, they still advertise it as a multiplayer game on all platforms "Join your friends in the frontier" (Game Pass), and they still put it on sale ocassionally, wich proves they are still actively trying to sell it. 5: They are aware and ignoring it, wich is an anti consumer practice, and very scummy way to act. 6: For the points mentioned above they either shut it down and take it off stores (or advertise it as a single player game only), or they have to fix it. 7: They can't shut it down because they chose to relaunch it on Steam a while ago (advertising it as multiplayer). 8: They also can't shut it down because in the communicate informing about Titanfall 1 being taken off stores they stated that "Titanfall is the core to Respawn's DNA and this incredible universe WILL CONTINUE. Today IN TITANFALL 2 and Apex Legends, and in the future" So they have once again Chekmated themselves. 9: They also KNOW they can't shut it down, if they could, they would have shut down Titanfall 1's support when they took it off stores, instead they said "We will, however, be keeping servers live for the dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match". If they could cancel support for Titanfall 2, they would have done it for Tf1, a game smaller and older that they didnt offered help ASAP to.
The other element that is eyeroll-inducing in each of these conversations (all anonymous and online) is that I never made emotional arguments or expressed “anger.” Just coldly laying out rational facts and mentioning that I don’t actively like the sexism inherent to said facts led a very small but vocal minority of responders to assume that I’m filled with rage “all the time” and tell me that it’s better for my health to make peace and …not speak up, for some reason?
That’s not gonna fly. FYI, the psychological, political, and physical burden of systemic sexism and rape culture just so happens to have a monumentally bigger and more toxic influence on my everyday well-being, thank you!
Whether I talk about it coldly and rationally or hotly and wrathfully, it needs to be talked about. Don’t get confused. Our feelings are not “the problem.” Sexism is the problem. How I and others feel about it is a direct result of that problem.
Telling women to stop being angry or magically be quiet and content about sexism is unwelcome bullshit. I for one will not be taking that advice. Have a nice day now!
will post results when poll ends
