Shackle code Puns

So a big problem with shackles for a lot of people is for certain classes it does not highlight the debuff properly or clearly. I've put together a fix that I shared with some friends but I think it's better for the community if people have the trinket visible on their UI.

This requires that you are using the BigDebuffs Addon. In the Retail.lua file for the addon, add the following line of code (for me it's on line 588 but it might be 587 for most of you).

[356567] = { type = CROWD_CONTROL }, -- Gladiator's Shackles

What this code is doing is adding the spell ID (356567) under the crowd control category. The --Gladiator's Shackles is a comment.

If you want a general location in that file look for " -- Legacy (may be deprecated) " and add it after that. Save the file after adding that line and you refresh your Big Debuffs addon ingame with a /reload you should see it appear like in the image below.

I am going to open up by saying that some of the following is going to be FACT and some of it will be OPINION. However, the opinion will never prevail over the facts. Also, depending on traction I may do a second post with some more up to debate things.
I also know that the title alone will lead to downvotes, some of you won’t even read it before downvoting. It is a shame that people forgot downvotes are supposed to be used to penalize off-topic and not to punish unpopular opinions, not to create echo chambers.
So let’s get to it shall we?

ETH is shady:
Not only is ETH a security, it has always been manipulated by well connected and powerful people behind the scenes. The connections between the ETH Foundation, ConsenSys, and the SEC are totally public knowledge. Jay Clayton, the former SEC chairman, was a partner at Sullivan and Cromwell.
Joe Lubin, co-founder of ETH, also founded ConsenSys. He also bought 9.5% of ETH supply.
ConsenSys is a client of Sullivan and Cromwell.
That was the back door ETH used to get the free pass on regulations.
There are court papers about the meetings between ConsenSys and the SEC.
At the same time, the SEC was prosecuting DOZENS of ICOs that were using the exact same approach ETH was.
Hinman’s, Clayton’s Director of Corporate Finance, speech where he says ETH is not a security was partly WRITTEN by some of ETH top investors.
The plan by ConsenSys with the help of the SEC was clearly to make ETH the only crossborders payment platform by giving it a free pass, while at the same time preventing any incursion into that space with SEC lawsuits.
At the same time this was happening, Gary Gensler told an MIT audience that “XRP deserved regulatory clarity”. (I won’t go in depth with the Ripple lawsuit here).
Not only is Chairman Gensler trying to pretend he never said that, and the entire SEC trying to hide the fact they gave ETH a free pass, to date ETH is the only altcoin to have had the privilege of being formally consider a commodity/currency and not a security.
Other funny “coincidences” include: Claydon being hired by a crypto hedge fund 100% invested in BTC and ETH. SEC Enforcement Director Marc Berger being hired by Simpson Thatcher and Bartlett, part of the ETH Alliance and Hinman’s prior employer, less than a month after the Ripple lawsuit was filled. Hinman receiving $15 Million, during his service on the SEC, from Simpson Thatcher and Bartlett. AND after leaving the SEC, Hinman

Context 1: Barely anything is known about the Dark Age of Technology (DaOT), and one of the biggest mysteries of the setting revolve around the mysterious Men of Materials: Gold, Stone, and Iron. While we know that the Men of Iron are true AI, such as UR-025, Tabula Myriad, etc, who could probably just download themselves into available chassises at any moment, not much is known about the Men of Stone or Gold.

Context 2: The descriptions of Kron in this short story confirm what we do know about the Men of Stone, and his existence has major ramifications regarding foundational aspects of the lore.

To begin this discussion, we need to clarify just what we actually know about the Men of Materials. While not explicitly stated in any novels or codex, Laurie Golding, an accredited BL author and editor of multiple publications, states that the original vision for the Men of Materials was to have them as three separate transhuman races. Specifically, Alan Meritt, one of the original authors of GW who was with them since the days of Rogue Trader, stated that the Men of Iron were the Machines, the Men of Gold were a genetically engineered master race that came about through selective breeding, while the Men of Stone were a cyborg intelligence. In particular, "the "Stone" part refers to silicon, and are likened to the Thirteenth Tribe from Battlestar Galactica, the original cyclons who left Kobol and began their own civilization". While a lot of this is old lore, just a couple years ago we have the first ever, explicitly confirmed existence of a Man of Iron, UR-025. And since the entire concept of the Men of Materials was introduced as a package deal in the 3rd edition rulebook, UR-025's existence hints that GW didn't softly retconn the entire concept, and the concept of all 3 transhuman races, namely Gold, Stone, and Iron, were still on the table for discussion and will be terms that define the DaOT.

While we have an explicit description of the Men of Iron in the lore, we really don't have such confirmation for the Men of Gold or Stone. However, the short story Ancient History, by Andy Chambers actually provides descriptions of a highly unusual individual that altogether, very strongly hints that he is a Man of Stone. Context 1: We know very few about the DaOT anyways, but the few we do know only paint a very scary picture on what the DaOT can be about

From my previous post, here, that aimed to clarify what the Men of Gold and Stone were, as well as describing a potential Man of Stone, we now have an idea on what the populations of man were like in the original empire of the DaOT. However, the reality was that it was actually a pretty shitty time for a lot of people involved.

As a reminder, the DaOT's population consisted of 3 separate transhuman races of man, these races consist of the Men of Gold, a genetically engineered master race that arose due to certain levels of selective breedinng, the Men of Stone, a race of cybog intelligences specifically called "organic intelligence, created artificially", and the Men of Iron referred to the Abominable Intelligence so infamously known in the setting. But among these 3 baseline humans are assumed to still exist, and they weren't placed at the top of the totem pole. Instead, they were likely at the bottom, alongside the Men of Gold and Men of Iron, with the Men of Stone at the top. This was because of the fact that during the course of human history, the Men of Stone played the most important role in helping man spread across the galaxy and forming the Interstellar empire of the DaOT:

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Toby’s words were unfortunately proven extremely accurate, as the next day was a real son of a bitch. No meagre rations were presented to help start her day. Instead, she woke at an unknown hour to the sound of her cell door bursting open, and she was liberally hosed down with ice cold water. Then her frozen body was beaten, and dragged from her cell. It was a generous helping of pain and suffering, and things did not improve from there.

After hours of torture, Chrissy found herself with her arms tied above her head, shoulders straining to hold her body weight. Her feet were shackled to the ground below to make sure she didn't move away, but she could only brush the floor with her tiptoes. She couldn't stand to relieve the pressure on her arms, so how was she expected to make a move? Her brain had long since shut out the agony from her straining muscles, and she looked dully at the way her ruined uniform lay scattered across the floor nearby. She didn't even have the energy to feel thankful that her underwear remained on her.

The blood that scattered over nearby surfaces was her own. A lock of her long blonde curls hung in front of her face, matted and stained red, and she knew the rest of her hair looked similar. A warm trail of blood dripped down her bare legs from a fresh cut in her abdomen, and she looked over to where Toby was strapped to a chair.
