A list of puns related to "Seminar (play)"
The Office creators knew of Steve Carell's plan to leave prior to season 7. We know that eventually Ed Helms as Andy would become the lead in season 8 as regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch.
In season 7, Andy takes the lead in the "A" plot of a few episodes, and demonstrate his ability to carry the show as the with his performance and as the center of an event much like Michael would. S7E4: Sex Ed may be included as well.
Is it possible they were already testing the waters with Ed Helms as the lead as early as ep 3 of season 7? He had arguably been a main character prior (although one of the lesser ones compared to Michael/Dwight/Jim/Pam), but these episodes in season 7 stand out where Andy was taking the lead moreso than any other characters had aside from Michael/Dwight/Jim/Pam.
Main characters aside, other side characters had storylines centered around them throughout the show, but none had episodes quite like Andy's Play and The Seminar where they appeared to take the singular lead performance and let Michael/Steve Carell take the backseat for that episode.
Despite Michael leaving, Dwight/Jim/Pam would remain leads of the show, and apparently they didn't want to make any of them take on the role of manager for season 8, so they eventually ended up with Andy in season 8 who certainly can be considered a main character of the show, if not the lead of the show for that season.
So I arrived at this thought. All things considered, did they just want to make a few Andy lead episodes in season 7 prior to seriously considering him to take Michael's place? Or did they write these episodes with the idea that Andy/Ed Helms is being considered for the lead role, and they wanted to see how he'd do as the lead in terms of his ability to be funny and entertaining to at least a fraction of the degree as Michael/Steve Carell.
I know not everyone likes Andy, or the seasons where he becomes a lead of the show. Personally, I thought he was great in these episodes in season 7 where he was able to take the lead role, and this showed great potential that was fulfilled when he leads the show in season 8 (putting the train wreck of season 9 Andy aside). He funny, quirky, emotional, entertaining, has interesting character details to draw jokes/storylines from, and brings new unique relationships with the rest of the cast. He's able to lead the show in Michael's absence and he isn't a mere "Michael-clone" when he takes the lead imo.
Tried posting this in r/Nintendo but they told me to come here so here I am.
I have recently been interested in all the Super obscure Nintendo franchises that exist, and in my search for super obscure stuff I came across the games created during the Nintendo Game Seminars. The game seminars let students try their hand at designing videogames, which would then be released into the Wild, either through DS Download play or the Wii U eshop in Japan.
On researching these, a lot of them seem to be really cute little games, or they have cool concepts. So obviously it sucks that I have no way to play them. At least, not officially. I have no idea if it is possible to emulate these games, but I thought I'd try my luck. Does anyone know of any places I can find roms for any of the Game Seminar games? My admittedly limited research has turned up nothing but I figured if anyone knows, it's Reddit.
My FIL is currently on the phone with my spouse, explaining how everyone in their stake had to sit through a mandatory seminar today instead of second hour church classes. The BOM Musical is about to open in their city and the local leaders are in a panic.
He sat through an hour long lecture. He couldnβt tell us a single thing about the showβs plot or themes. The best he could do was βalthough it might have a couple of good songs that some people like, the church strongly condemns everything in it, it doesnβt have a good messageβ. I challenged him on this, but heβs adamant that the church opposes literally everything in the show.
Turns out they sat through an hour of repeatedly being told not to see it or research the show at all, but if anyone mentions it to them to βlook for the positives, put a good spin on itβ. How on earth theyβre supposed to do that without knowing the first thing about the show beats me.
I already have some answers to this question, but Iβm curious what other exmos think. Ignoring anything that could be considered a specific attack on TSCC, what good moments, messages or elements are there in the show? Iβm sure we can find many things the church wouldnβt oppose!!
ETA some examples of good things TBMs might agree with:
The speaker mentioned that 85% of couples are so disconnected the husband doesn't even know his wife's favorite flower. I leaned over toy wife and said
"It's self-raising, isn't it?"
It was a waste of my thyme
this is what the article says, i copied and pasted random parts
One of Cambridge Universityβs last all-female colleges is set to introduce fertility seminars to teach women to start planning to have children by their mid-thirties or risk βforgetting to have a babyβ.
Murray Edwards College will teach the classes alongside consent and sexual harassment classes this term, reported The Sunday Times.
He said that women who want more than one child should start trying to conceive before they turn 30. For example, women who want two children should start trying to conceive at the age of 28, while those who want three children βprobably have to start trying when youβre 23β.
βYoung women are being taught that they all have to do well in school, get a degree, be successful in their career, and be beautiful,β she said.
βThe thing that is getting lost along the way is that you forget to have a baby, which I nearly did.β
Guys, my younger brother wants to attend a seminar from a guy whose name is Manish Bhardwaj who runs a youtube channel called MCX Live Research
After he told me about his plan I searched and watched his youtube videos and I feel he is a massive scammer but I was unable to find any review or source of information regarding it. Could some of you be kind enough and shed some light on this matter.

I would very much appreciate any input you all might have to make this seminar the best installment yet, especially with regards to these two questions:
I'll do my best to read and respond to comments below, but if you want to make sure your suggestions/comments/questions are heard, DM me on Discord (WujuSenshi#9092) since I check that more than reddit.
Thanks, hope to see you all there! ^_^

I'm on my nine millionth rewatch and it finally occurred to me: one of their workers killed himself within the last five years. When Darryl is calling depression "fat butt disease" he's doing so in front of a group of people who had lost their coworker to suicide. That's just cold.
Rah Devil Dogs, Iβve been in the fleet for awhile and still havenβt done Lance Corporal seminar. Iβve talked to my Corporals and Sergeant about it, but they keep saying theyβll get to it. I really want to start using my TA, but you have to be PME complete. I was wondering if any units have one going on soon so I can tag along please (message me privately). Thank you!
I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the Biochemistry department, and I really want to get some work done this year so I can graduate soon. Most of my research needs long chunks of time, that is just the nature of my work. I can't begin an experiment and realistically be done in an hour or two as most of my work involves 5-6 hr long experiments that go on over multiple days.
But looking at my calendar for this semester, I just can't figure out a way to get big chunks of time. Yes, there are a couple of days in a week where I have 5-6 hours available at a stretch, but just looking at my calendar is demotivating, honestly. I tried my best to cluster all my TA duties, seminars, meetings, etc. but it is not happening, as I have to work with several other people's availabilities.
How do I get any work done with such a schedule?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Was anyone forced to go those end time events seminars as a child where you spent all day listening to people present conspiracy theories about everything from jesuits, Illuminati, music, itβs even where first heard who Alex Jones is because they were playing some infowars clips, I had no idea then he was controversial and batshit. I would have been around 10, but who knows as I erased it from memory but just remembered from reading this sub and I believed it all as a kid.
Now looking back I donβt think the events were run officially by the church and only ultra conservatives went. I used to dread them because they literally went all day I would eventually become bored and found some to be quite scary. Do these still happen?
Just ONE technique.
Iβve got auditory processing disorder so I canβt really tell if itβs my disability or if Iβm stupid or both. I start losing track after the third slide while the speaker is on their 15th slide and has probably included 20 different acronyms. It doesnβt help that general academia culture seems to discourage text on slides (seriously, why?) so Iβm forced to try and decipher incomprehensible figures and weird looking statistical methods while the speaker may as well be speaking Latin.
Everyone seems to be having an idea of whatβs going on and asking a bunch of thoughtful questions meanwhile I have zero idea whatβs being said. Is this uncommon?
Kinda losing my mind here lol. Iβve come to despise meetings and seminars but theyβre basically 50% of my grad school workβ¦
Iβm a gal, can anyone tell me please what sort of hats are acceptable and what types arenβt? Iβm thinking of a baseball cap but Iβm guessing out of all the types of hat thatβs probably the least likely to be considered acceptable?
The gist of the video is that if you whistle blow against a powerful organization that they will proverbially nuke your life and then salt the earth of your career for the next 20 years ensuring to make an example out of you.
It has me thinking what the **** I should do if I end up in that kind of situation. I know that this is the kind of situation where I'll have to make my own personal choices I'm just spooked right now.
I was wondering do they split up students by ability according to some metric or anything for smaller classes like seminars/tutorials?
I've never heard of such a thing before at university level, but at the same time if it's not a thing, is it awkward being in a class with way smarter people who are much further ahead while you're behind a lot?
I'm asking because I have slow processing and low iq (78 or something idk) also and other special needs, I'm just dreading that it would be super uncomfortable having everyone around me "get" it well before I do and I'm still asking questions about something the tutor said 15 mins ago.
Some of the classes I'm in aren't split as it is and it's so uncomfortable so I'm just wondering how it works at uni
any other first years not get into a freshman seminar either semester? Just so disappointed w my experience at this school so far :(
I had meanwhile (or still have) a bad burn-out. I wanted to quit my studies several times and run away. Needed emotional help for the last four hours to finish my assignment last minute. Normally, so all through school and uni, just getting closer to the deadline has been enough. You know that for sure, when the pressure kicks in. This time there was nothing. Although the task was absolutely trivial and far below what I have already done in my studies, I feel much better now that it is handed in. Another step towards graduation.
Just wanted to share that with you. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
I went in to the final with a B and the final was worth 50% of our grade and I guess I bombed it.
Iβm around the median class rank wise but Iβm sure that will drop now. I had been improving my grades each semester and now I guess thatβs done. Fucking sucks man
We had Mason out to our school last night and I wanted to drop by and leave a bit of a review. Dude was awesome. Nice as can be - friendly with everyone. Great explanation of his techniques, was happy to take questions and demo them as many times as we need. He even got on the mat after and rolled with pretty much everyone in attendance. He had his brother with him to use as an Uke and he was just as nice and knowledgeable.
This was our first big name seminar and Iβm glad we were able to put it together with Mason. I highly recommend bringing him in to your academy if you get the chance.
Hey guys! Has anyone taken this course? If so, could you please tell me your experience with this class and what I should expect in terms of course work? I need to pick a seminar course before they choose one for me, and this one best fits into my schedule, but I'm scared that because of the topic (neuroscience), it might be a lot of work even though it's only a 1 credit course. So yeah, I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts on the class and also your experience with the professor (Gaspar Farkas). Also if you have the syllabus for the class, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could send me a copy, thanks! π
