A list of puns related to "Second Life Syndrome"
Iβm not sure if the is the best place to ask, but everywhere I look it says that part 3 is instrumental and the lyrics end after the line βwith all of my pastβ, but there are clearly words being sung starting at 11:53. Does anyone know what the lyrics to this section are? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Welcome to week fourteen of /r/progmetal's Album of the Week series. Each week we'll pick a new prog metal (or prog metal-related) album to showcase for the sake of an open, comprehensive subreddit discussion. The albums are all moderator-choices and the order of said albums has been randomized so that there is no discernible pattern. You can expect both albums that lurk in the depths of obscurity and albums that are hailed classics, as well as everything in between.
Released: November 8th, 2005
Country: Poland
Flavour: Progressive rock, atmospheric, classic
Riverside is quite easily Poland's most famous progressive music export. The bands plays a lighter, more melodic brand of prog metal (think along the lines of Porcupine Tree). Though I listed off one of the band's flavours as being "classic," that is not to say that the music here is akin to much of the traditional/classic prog metal that people are used to. There are just as many chilled out melodic sections as there is heavy riffing. The guitar solos are a source of melody rather than a flashy showcase of skill. The emphasis is on mood and atmosphere rather than sheer flair.
I've just described Riverside as a band, yes, but all of these traits are in full effect on the band's strongest outing, Second Life Syndrome. This album does have a lot going on throughout its duration, so don't make the mistake of thinking this is nothing more than a Porcupine Tree or Pink Floyd clone. This is Riverside. What else characterizes Riverside and especially this album? An emotive vocalist who isn't also afraid of giving the mic a shout every now and again. A musical flow that very much evokes the band's name. An undeniable mournfulness that permeates most of the music. Skilled musicians that know the meaning of restraint. The ability to not just put 15 minutes of music in one track, but to craft an actual 15 minute epic (see the title track). ELECTRIC ORGAN SOLOS.

I have read quite a bit about the two albums being a part of the same "story-line". As I was re listening Out of Myself the other day I came across a lyrical reference in the song Conceiving You (second life syndrome) to the Song I Believe (out of myself). I will quote the relevant lines from both songs below.
Out of Myself
I Believe
>You make me so real
>
>I don't have to shut myself in this cage of me
>
>I see what I haven't seen
>
>I wanna share my place to hide
>
>My place to feel
>
>With You
Second life Syndrome
Conceiving You
>Or maybe I'm destined to be alone?
>
>Or maybe there's someone who will understand
>
>That I'm not able to share my world?
>
>I'm still running away
>
>It's crazy, I know
Given the backdrop of both the songs in their respective albums, It does make sense to me and I absolutely love these moments!
Diagnosed with SMA and Nutcracker syndrome in April after lots of wrong diagnosis. I was severely underweight. That's why doctors were not confident about their procedures here. They told me to fly to a different city for treatment which I am not able to due to my extreme weakness. I was somehow able to force to have liquid diet before without throwing up. But slowly my problem increased.
From last three months it's been the worse and I am struggling to even drink water without regurgitation and vomiting it up. Struggling to keep up my regular activities. Severely starving and dehydrated. Feels like ending my life somehow. Praying for death.
Anyone got cured of this issue or currently suffering from it?? Would love to hear some thoughts if I will have any second chance in my life??
I just got done watching Meteor Garden (2018) and let me tell you, the SLS nearly killed me. It made me have war flashbacks to Cheese in the Trap. Can I have some drama recs that will definitely give me second lead syndrome or dramas that has interesting SL. What I mean by interesting is that their character is actually interesting or dynamic. Here are some examples of dramas that have me major SLS.
P.S. if you can give me some FSL please do because i hate that everyone makes them into a villain while they praise the MSL.
β While You Were Sleeping: i loved the leads together but the SL in this was wonderful. he was genuinely wonderful
β Extraordinary You: i did NOT want the SL to end up with the FL at all but his character was very interesting
β A Love So Beautiful: i didnβt have SLS in the original Chinese version but I had it so bad in the Korean adaptation. I cried for Dae Sung multiple times just because he was so sweet and caring
β Chicago Typewriter: Yoo Jin Oh was a pretty interesting character and i felt so bad for him
β True Beauty: i did not ship him with the FL (but then again i didnβt ship the ML with her either) but i adored his character!
β Start Up: once again i did not ship the SL or the ML with the FL. i was over the romance in this but Ji Pyung was definitely the most dynamic and complex character in this drama.
β Reply 1997: i had major SLS for my poor boy Jun Hee so freaking much
β Reply 1988: i wonβt spoil it but yeah, even though i loved when the FL ended up with i equally loved the SL too
β Cinderella and the Four Knights: I had serious SLS for the third ML (the musician)
β Sassy Go Go: i loved the leads but also had a soft spot for the SL and the SFL
Second male lead syndromes in kdramas are very common. I want to hear about the opposite. A kdrama that made you root for the second female lead or wanted her to end up with the main lead (even if the drama didn't have a love triangle).
My parents have been divorced for 10 or so years, I am now 19 (F) my brother(16) and I have known our dads wife for 8 years now. We have grown up with her and I have a lot of fond memories of us doing stuff together because they couldnβt have kids.
My dad is 56, step mom is 38, and having a younger step mom was always fun for me. 3 years ago, they had their first child. It was a miracle since doctors told her she wouldnβt be able to get pregnant. She ended up getting pregnant again a year and a half ago and had another kid. They now have 2 boys who are 3 and like 6 months.
Of course, after the boys were born, things started changing with step mom. She may have not meant it on purpose but my brother and I both agreed how obvious her disinterest In us had become. She even asked my dad if we could have 2 versions of our Christmas cards, one of them having my brother and I in it and another with just my dad, step mom and 2 step brothers to go to step moms friends who donβt really know us.
The issue at hand has been going on for about a month, step mom has been slowly turning my dance studio in my dads house into a play room. Every weekend Iβm there itβs like there are more and more toys in it. I still dance competitively, and though I live at college most of the time, when Iβm home I live with my dad and need it for practice.
I called stepmom out on this in our family group text for moving some of my brothers things to a box in the basement, because βwith the boys we need more roomβ. I donβt think this is true, I think she just wants to get rid of the reminders of my brother and I. I told her that we know sheβs condensing all of our space in the house. She tried to play it off all nice. I then said Iβm sorry for being in the way of her cute little nuclear family, and that she shouldnβt have married a man with kids if we were gonna have these issues.
My dad texted me individually and said I must apologize, I told him that we should have just as many rights in our dads house as his new kids do. He said nobody is taking our rights blah blah But aita for saying what I did to step mom?
EDIT: I just wanna say thereβs been multiple instances since the birth of the boys where itβs seemed to almost upset stepmom when dad spends time with brother and I or does an activity with us exclusively
Ok so a few days ago i just finished True beauty which i can honestly say is one of my favorite shows. But this time i was rooting for the male lead suho and everyone wasnβt so i felt left out when it came to rooting for my favorite couple so tell me a drama that left you with major secound lead syndrome it doesnβt specifically have to be within the plot of true beauty the show was just an example
Don't know if this is the right tag but I was wondering if you guys could recommend some second lead syndrome dramas on Netflix. Preferably 2 girls and 1 guy. Thanks!
So, Love Alarm season 2 released a couple weeks ago and I finished it in 2 days. I know lots of people were disappointed with the ending, but I absolutely loved it because of SLS.
Now, I'm looking for more shows where the second lead ends up with the girl in the end (and not because the first lead died or whatever). Preferably, the show should be more recent, like 2015 onwards. Any recommendations?
And I know the βtellβ is that she holsters her lightsaberβ¦ knowing itβs coming isnβt doing me any good because my force is usually depleted so I canβt slow her down or push her away
EDIT: thank you everyone! I got through that battle and the rest of the game. I think Iβdβve gone mad if not for the advice to roll dodge rather than try to block. I appreciate your help!!
Is True Beauty worth watching when i know i'm going to have the biggest second lead syndrome in my entire life ? I'm really hesitating because when I don't ship the FL with the actual ML, i can get pretty annoyed with a drama in general... and knowing what Hwang In Yeop looks like (I mean.... DAMN) and having loved Seo-Joon in the manwha, i can't help but see the syndrome coming...
I just want to do nonprofit work. I want Maya Wiley to be the mayor of NYC just because the strokes. She promised a concert for reopening nyc in September and Julian casablancas said he was gna perform live if it happened I was hype but Covid is still fucking the world up Iβm so fed up with it
