If the Hyksos conquered Egypt by marriage by force, what explains the disintegration of central authority characteristic of the Second Intermediate Period?

So a few months ago, I came across this article saying that we got the Hyksos conquest of Egypt all wrong. It's said in the article that the Hyksos conquered Egypt from within my means of marriage in to the royal dynasty and nobility. If this was the case, what caused central authority to basically collapse in Egypt?

Resources for tracing evidence of Anat in Second Intermediate Period Egypt?

Hi there! Does anyone know of any useful sources for me? I'm looking for any information regarding the appearance of the Near Eastern deity Anat in Egypt during the Second Intermediate Period. I am looking for scholarly sources, as this is for my dissertation.

Thanks!
