A list of puns related to "Scott Peterson"
Iβve watched a lot of true crime over the past few years but this case is the only case that I just donβt feel the evidence was strong enough for the death penalty. The not knowing when (time) or where she was killed really still bothers me. No hair fibers in his car or boat. By evidence, I donβt think heβs guilty but by the motive & the body turning up where he went fishing makes him guilty. & honestly the prosecution was UNORGANIZED & Laci deserved to be properly represented . I hope her spirit is at peace.
I stumbled upon this on an old archived LiveJournal.
Not bad.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH IT
by Scott Peterson
"Gee, do you think Affleck will play me in the movie?"
Hi, I'm Scott Peterson. You might recognize me from CNN, Court TV, and MSNBC. That's right, I'm the assclown who just got arrested for killing his wife and unborn child. I may have pled "not guilty", but I did it. Everybody knows I did it. You're probably sitting there thinking, "Dude, you couldn't have been more obvious about it if you wore a sandwich board with the words I DID IT across the front", and you'd be right.
Now that I have plenty of time to think about what I've done while sitting in protective custody in prison (that's right, I'm lower on the totem pole than the child molesters and gangbangers, imagine that!), I realized that I can try to make things right for myself by offering some helpful advice to any other guys in my predicament who might be thinking about offing their spouse (ladies, too, I know you're out there!) and don't want to get caught as quickly as I did. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did!
STEP ONE: Try to think of a better alibi than saying you were out on a spontaneous fishing trip on Christmas Eve. Nobody goes fishing on Christmas Eve, I just pulled that right out of my ass. If I could go back, I would have said I was doing some last minute holiday shopping at Wal-Mart.
STEP TWO: Try to make sure it takes the police more than a week to discover your secret lover. Wow, did I fuck that up! I should have remembered from watching every detective show ever made that when someone mysteriously disappears, the first person the police look at is the spouse. It's your job to make sure they don't find instant motive as well. Jesus, what was I thinking?
STEP THREE: It's not cool to try to sell your missing spouse's car a mere two months after he or she disappears. This gives people the impression that you know said spouse isn't coming back. This should be obvious, shouldn't it?
STEP FOUR: It's also not cool to try to sell the house where you supposedly spent the years of your blissful marriage with said missing spouse. Same reasons as above. Also, don't pull that "we had the perfect marriage" bullshit. Nobody believes it, especially considering that lover on the side business.
**STEP FI
... keep reading on reddit β‘With the update about Scott Peterson the other day I revisited the podcast episode as well as reviewing other sources and I truly believe he would not be in prison right now if he had Jose Baez as his lawyer. There was a stronger case of physical evidence and arguably more public outrage against Casey Anthony and she got away with it because of him. He even got Aaron Hernandezβs conviction overturned* when the evidence against him was overwhelming. Iβd love to hear some other peopleβs thoughts on whether or not certain counsel could sway a case like this!
*It was overturned and pending a new trial when Aaron died. MA later reinstated his conviction and changed the antiquated law about throwing out a conviction if the accused dies during the appeal process.
Janey Peterson, Scott Petersonβs sister-in-law, has been doing interviews today saying they have βhuge new evidenceβ that will help Scott get a new trial and walk free. It apparently relates to the timeline of Laciβs disappearance. The news outlets quickly clarified that Janey's information βhas not been corroborated by law enforcement,β so itβs probably just a wild goose chase theory from an increasingly obsessed woman.
Janey has also stated that sheβs now attending law school with the intent to join Scottβs defense team, and her home is a βwar roomβ filled with evidence and theories hoping to exonerate Scott.
I know itβs been discussed forever, but I still donβt understand what compels this woman to dedicate her entire life to this. Is it sunk-cost fallacy, is she addiction to the attention, in love with him, or does she really believe with that much conviction that heβs innocent?
A shmuck? Yes. A shitty husband and human? Yes. Stupid? Absolutely. A murderer? I donβt think so. Iβve been researching the case a lot and I donβt know, I think heβs innocent. I also think it should be illegal to sentence someone to death on circumstantial evidence. Thoughts? Civil answers only. Not trying to fight
Are there actually people out there that believe this dude is innocent??? I just canβt even believe anyone would waste their time and energy into defending this sociopath. What is the biggest piece of evidence out there that supports this?
This might be more legal-oriented than true crime, but has anyone heard anything new on when the evidentiary hearing might be? It looks like the judge is setting the evidentiary hearing to begin date TBD at the next status hearing (status scheduled for 11/10) so I am guessing early 2022?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 71%. (I'm a bot)
