So I just got back from a run, and must have eaten something earlier, because as soon as I came inside, I ripped a really loud, nasty fart. I jokingly blamed it on her, and she laughed a bit until she smelled it. As she was busy plugging her nose I lay this on her.
Me: Well you know what they say, the one that smelt it is the one that dealt it. Her: That's not funny, I know it was you, that saying doesn't make any sense right now. Me: I think it makes a lot of scents. Wah-waaah..
We were approaching a runner who was running towards us and right as he passed by, both of us thought he smelled strongly of marijuana. My dad said, "He must be on a runner's high."
I was very proud at that moment.
I went on a run this morning, and I passed by a man who was picking up after his dog. We looked at each other, and I said good morning with a look of sympathy for his less than ideal task. He looks me dead in the eyes, holds up the bag, and says "This is a load of shit!"
The man was not my dad, but he looked like a dad.
I was driving my younger sister to one of her youth group meetings earlier today and I talked about how I had first seen a funeral procession that morning on the day to school. I started asking several rhetorical questions such as:
"Where was the casket? I didn't see one carried by any of the vehicles."
"What cemetery are they going to?"
But now here comes the gold...
"It was a long procession...I'm sure (s)he was loved." Turns toward her "Do you know what the stages of grief are? It's weird how we say the human experience is unique for everyone, but almost everyone mourns in the same way. Do you know what happens after the mourning?"
I sat there in awe after having quivered before the dad-joke incarnate in front of me when I hear in response:
"Why of course, the afternoon silly!"

It was a we'll needed break. I'd been busy shopping all day. We had been stocking the cupboards with tins, ketchup, mayo, mustard etc. So me and my lovely wife were gunna have some grub and a drink before cosying down for the night.
After my food arrived I asked for some ketchup. But they didn't have any. They didn't have chance to stock up today and have run out of all their sauces. And this food needed something to mask the actual taste. So I quickly nipped back home and grabbed all of my selection, just in case the Mrs ended up wanting something different. She usually does
While I was eating there were a few complaints and people walking out because of the situation.
The man in the kitchen looked stressed and about to burst into tears. So I called over the waitres and handed over my sauce selection and said " my condiments to the chef"

As I was just about to tap her on the shoulder she started running for a bus.

thereβs three main candidates in the running. first is joe biden, looking to keep the presidency; second is donald trump, looking to take back the presidency, and lastly is obama, wearing a sombrero and a mustache, going by the nameβ¦ juan-bama. as the election results are tallied in, itβs apparent that itβs a perfect three-way tie in both the popular vote and the electoral college. the nation is in uproar, nobody can reach a decision as to how to choose the next president. but at last a solution comes forward: a literal presidential race. whoever can run the fastest lap around the white houseβtimed by a secret service memberβwill be sworn into office.
first up is donald trump. he boldly states βthis will no doubt be the fastest lap around the white house, perhaps even the fastest lap run anywhere, ever,β but, not being in the best shape, he takes 18 minutes and 34 seconds.
next is joe biden. he doesnβt waste any breath for trash talk or boasting, he just readies himself at the starting line andβat the countβtakes off. heβs running fast, really fast for someone of his ageβ¦ at least for the first 5 minutes. but he forgets where heβs going, and finishes his lap as a leisurely walk around the grounds, taking 26 minutes and 49 seconds.
lastly is juanbama, who runs like hell around the white house. heβs running fast, faster than heβd ever run before. he completes his lap, collapsing across the finish line, and looks up desperately at the secret service member. βwhat was it?β he asks. βwhat was my time?β
the agent looks down at their stopwatch. βtwelve oh-three.β
juanbama looks at them in disbelief. βwell,β he sputters, βthatβs got to be some sort of record!β
the secret service member shakes their head. βno, actually. bush did nine eleven.β

Son: βno dad, weβre walking late.β
Granted my son is known for corny (akadad) jokes but this one is a gem and Iβm so proud I knew I had to share it here.
Two men were stranded in the desert for about a week with no food or water. They were getting pretty desperate.
One of the men saw a tree in the distance. It was simply covered in bacon. So much bacon that there were no leaves to be seen. More bacon than the two of them could eat in a week. They were saved!
After sharing his discovery with his companion; the man began to run towards the tree, the scent of bacon overwhelming his senses.
Right before he reached his goal he was surrounded by many men firing repeatedly at him. He was struck by several bullets from all directions.
Too late he realized it had not been a bacon tree that he had seen, instead it was a ham bush.
This was a few years ago, but my father-in-law loves to tell this story:
He witnessed a car accident at a 4-way stop. Nothing serious, just a fender-bender. The car who had run the stop sign drove off. My FIL pulled over, of course, checked on the driver of the other car, and offered to call the police.
And then he saw it. Laying on the pavement, right at the spot of the impact, was the other car's license plate. He quietly picked it up, set it in his car, and hoped he would get the right set-up.
He was not disappointed. After giving the officer his description of the accident, the officer asked, "Did you happen to get the license plate of the other car?"
FIL, totally deadpan, says, "Why, as a matter of fact..." as he reaches into his car and pulls out the license plate, "I've got it right here."
As if on cue, another officer at the scene came walking up right at that moment, asking, "Was he able to get the plates?"
FIL holds the plate up higher, points to it, "Yep, right here!"
Peak dad joke.
Hopefully someone catches it.
They crept in. It was pitch black and stone quiet. They were suddenly starting to regret this dare. Stupidly, only one brought a flash light. The aggressive darkness and inky black yielded with grudging compliance but always seeming to push back. They moved cautiously onward amid the dust and cobwebs. The floor creaked. They breathed in tight, quick breaths. You could hear a pin drop.
Suddenly, there was a deep moan. "OOOOOOOOUUUUU". It seemed from below them. The house had been abandoned for years. Who or what could make such a sound? The boys looked at each other, but continued on, hearts pounding in their chests.
As they proceeded into the kitchen they encountered a swarm of flies. Buzzing and beating their necks and faces, they rushed and stumbled to the door, not stopping to see what they were truly feasting on. They slammed the door behind them. Maybe a body? But no way were they going back to find out. And again came the sound, "ooooOOOOOooooOOUUU" but louder this time, and closer.
They proceeded through the dark into the dining room. They saw a fully set dining table covered in cob webs. Dust-covered regal-looking glasses, goblets and silverware adorned the table. Spiders climbed on ivory plates. Clearly a house of privilege and set for a grand feast which never happened.
Or, perhaps, met a fatal end?
They pushed on. But again that unearthly howl.
"oooooOOOOOOOOOOOUuuuuUUUUuuUUOOOOooo".
They found the basement staircase, and from below, the sounds seemed to be emanating. Could they proceed? Would they? Did they dare? Two of the boys looked at each other, faces filled with worry.
But the third said, confidently, "We're going down there." Not wanting to seem the weaker, the other two boys steeled themselves and nodded.
The stairs creaked and groaned evily under their feet. The rickety banister shook in angry defiance. Insects and vermin scattered underneath them with every step. They were descending into hell, they knew, but none would turn back.
And the sound: "oOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUuuuuUUOOOO". Now loud enough to fill not only their heads but seeming to claw at their very souls!
Now at the basement door! The antique, crying squeak of the hinges eeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEee made the boys wince and almost cover their ears. But they had to know. WHAT is making that horrible, terrible sound?
"ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUoooooUUUUUUUOOOOOOO"
In the center of the basement lay an unholy coffin! A twisted artistic expression of murder, decay and

Right so there's this farmer yeah and he's obsessed with tractors. His whole live revolves around them. He eats, sleeps and dreams tractors, but one day his wife is killed in a tragic tractor accident. The farmer decides he's had enough and completely strips tractors from his life, moves off the farm and tries to move on without his wife and love of tractors
Years later he's going on a blind date with a woman he met online. The dates going well when all of a sudden the restaurant bursts into flames! Everyone's panicking trying to put the fire out when the farmer stands up and takes a huge breath in, sucking in all the fire and smoke. He runs outside and releases all of the smoke into the air and saves the restaurant. Everyone's amazed at what the farmer has just done as they thank him and go back to their meals. His date sits back down on complete shock and says 'that was amazing how did you do that?!'
The farmer looks her in the eyes tearing up and says 'I'm an ex tractor fan'.

Confused, he asks the bartender why this is.
βWell, itβs a promotion we are running. If you can jump up and grab one, you get a free New York Strip dinner, on us! But, if you attempt to do so and miss, you gotta buy one for every person here instead.β
The guy takes a moment to scan the bar, counting up the number of patrons in his head, before turning to the bartender and replying
βAh, no thanks. The steaks are too high.β

I posted maybe a month ago and wanted to give you all an update on how the wedding went!
My absolutely stunning bride walked down the isle to "The Throne Room" song from A New Hope where Princess Leia gives the medals to Han and Luke.
My vows were:
"You are the love of my life. Ever since you walked into my life about 2.5 years ago, you have made literally every part of my life better and more beautiful, you have filled my life with a lot of laughter and love. You have this amazing indefinable quality to you that makes you so amazing and the perfect woman for me. I love you with all of my heart.
Even when we are apart for only a few hours, we tell each other how much we miss each other. Well today, I misses you.
I vow that I will always be there for you, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, but letβs make it richer, we are the Richardsons
I vow that I will do my best to keep you laughing, smiling and happy for the rest of our lives.
I vow that I will never give you up, I will never let you down, I will never run around and desert you, never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
I vow I will love you with all of the love, for all of my days."
It was a beautiful evening, with lots of laughs, plenty of serious heartfelt moments and lots of happiness! My wife and I could not be happier and it was perfect! I hope you all had a good day, I sure did!
My wife and I just had our first yesterday. My son was less than 10 minutes old when the doctor was doing some post delivery stitching for my wife.
My wife said: "how many stitches is it going to be?"
Doc: "we're not actually counting stitches with this, it's a running stitch"
Without missing a beat, I said "is it going after the fridge?"
There was very brief pause of activity in the room, and then soft chuckles and head shakes. Someone muttered "that's a good one". I feel like I've been inaugurated.
Edit: to everyone confused by this, I'll explain
Back when landlines were the main way of calling people, and cellphones and caller ID was rare (or non-existent), making crank calls was a.... common past-time.
One of the common ones was went like this:
Victim: "hello?"
Pranker: "hi, is your fridge running?"
Victim: "yes, why?"
Pranker: "well then you better go catch it!"
And then you hang up. So the joke here is that because it was a "running stitch" it was running to catch the fridge.

The farmer was devastated, and in his depression all but neglected the farm, barely able to bring himself to grow and can legumes.
One day as he was aimlessly wandering the road near his fields, hungry and despondent, he came across a deer carcass, freshly hit by a car. The farmer was excited that his luck was changing, since this meant fresh(ish) meat in the first time in months. He shooed the magpies and crows away and began harvesting the deer.
Almost as soon as he had finished, there was a knock at the door. To the farmer's great surprise, his son had returned home. Though he looked quite the worse for wear, the son looked around at the farm with sadness, perhaps realizing the emotional damage he had caused.
The farmer was besides himself with joy, and told his son that tonight he would cook a great feast. The son, surprised, looked around at the fallow fields and run down house and asked, "Dad, do you have much food? What could we possibly eat for this celebratory feast."
The farmer, tears of joy in his eyes and emotion in his voice said:
"Carrion, my wayward son. There'll be peas when you are done"
Old family jokes, which means Iβm sure variations are out there for both of them that most of you have heard
#1- an elderly woman is watching her normal sitcoms when suddenly the news cuts into her show to show live footage of a madman driving the wrong way on the interstate! Worried sick, she calls her husband, and says βhoney, thereβs a madman driving the wrong way on the highway! Be careful on your way home!β Her husband responds irritated, βwhat are you talking about? Thereβs not only one madman! There are hundreds of them!β
#2- a cop pulls over a man who was speeding. He approaches the car and asks for license and registration. The driver says, βIβm sorry officer, I canβt do that! You see, this car is stolen so the registration isnβt under my name! Also, the gun I used to steal the car is in there and I wouldnβt want you to be uncomfortable!β
The cop is obviously a bit flustered, and asks for the man to roll down his back windows to look in the backseat. The man replies, βhonestly officer thatβs impossible, as I have 10 kilos of cocaine in the footwells and donβt want to expose them to outside!β
At this point the cop is quite worried and has his gun drawn, asking the driver to open the trunk! The driver replies βofficer, Iβm afraid I canβt do that due to the two bodies I have in my trunk!β
At this, the officer runs back to his car and radios for backup.
After about 10 minutes, the police sergeant drives up and with his gun drawn asks the man for his license and registration. The driver says, βabsolutely sergeant, no problemβ and hands him a perfectly normal and legal registration and license.
The sergeant then says, βand I hear you have drugs in the back seat!β
βOh not at all, sergeant!β Says the man, opening the back window. The car is very clean and the footwells empty.
Confused, the sergeant then asks: βwhat about your trunk? I hear you have two dead bodies in there?β
βNot at all officerβ, says the man, βonly my groceries!β Popping the trunk, itβs obvious thereβs nothing wrong with the driver or the vehicle.
βI donβt understand; my officer told me you told him all of these things. Whatβs going on?!β
The driver responds βI bet he told you I was speeding, too, didnβt he?β
Notre Dame held a funeral service for him but were then left with the task of finding a new bell ringer however they feared they would not find anyone with the talent to match Quasimodo.
The cathedral decided to hold an audition, all day many hopefuls showed their talent and the judges were spoiled for choice but none matched the beauty of Quasimodo's melodies. After the auditions wrapped up and the cathedral started to empty one man with no arms runs in apologising for being late and begging for a chance. The judges were apprehensive but decided to give him a chance any way and let him have a try.
Once he got to the top he started head butting the bells and produced a fine melody matching the skills of Quasimodo himself and the cathedral refilled with spectators.
After he finished playing the cathedral filled with applause but this startled the armless man who tripped and sadly fell to his death.
The priests started asking the audience if anyone knew this man for he never gave a name and they wanted to record him posthumously as an official bell ringer.
One man stepped forward from the audience and said...
"I don't know his name but his face rings a bell"
His personal bodyguard sees him and shouts βMickey Mouseβ. This startles the assassin and he runs off in the other direction. Trump turns to his bodyguard and says β Thank you, but why did you yell Mickey Mouseβ The bodyguard replies βSorry Sir, I meant to say Donald, Duck.β
So there was this conductor who was part of a bus route that went through silk board every morning. So one day he sees this guy running towards the bus screaming at the conductor to stop the bus but the conductor doesn't feel like it, and the guy slips while running, is hit by a car and dies.
As a punishment for his sin, a bolt of lightning hits the conductor but he escapes unscathed.
A week later he sees another guy run towards the same bus and because of his remorse stops the bus, so that another accident doesn't occur. The guy gets on but soon collapses due to a heart attack and dies. Due to a mix up in hell, a bolt of lightning strikes the conductor again and this time he dies instantaneously.
How is this possible?
It's cause he was a bad conductor the first time, and a good conductor the second time.
There was this man who was the top horse trainer in the world. He could brake any horse in the matter of a couple days.
One day a very wealthy man wanted a racing horse that was reliable enough that he could bet on it and win almost every time. So naturally he goes to the horse trainer to get the best horse money could buy.
Later that day he was on the trainers ranch looking for a horse. At the top of the hill next to the barn was the most beautiful horse to have ever walked the planet. It was the perfect racing horse. The wealthy man asked, βHow much for that one on the hill?β
The trainer replied, βYou donβt want that one it doesnβt look good.β
The wealthy man said, βIt looks fine to me. Iβll take that one.β
The trainer said once again, βYou donβt want that one, it doesnβt look good.β
The conversation went like this for a bit longer and they finally decided that he will buy it for $200. The wealthy man thought that he had scored an amazing deal on this horse.
He grabs the horse and tries to lead it. The horse follows but runs into the man every time they stop. They hadnβt made it off the ranch yet and the horse ran into a fence post that it most definitely should have seen. The wealthy man turns to the trainer and says, βHey! You sold me a blind horse!β
The trainer then says, βI told you he doesnβt look that good.β

OK so I'm the mom but I've got all jokes!
My husband says "I met our neighbor and he's a train engineer from a long line of rail workers." To which I replied.. sounds like he got railroaded into it or maybe he just came to a crossing. I'm sure he didn't want to blow his own horn though. Is this joke running out of steam?
At this point my husband walked away saying " this is why I don't talk to you" π
