A list of puns related to "Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital"
A place which says it is the best among tinnutus and other ear conditions.
Sadly it was a very short appointment. Started with a hearing test, which ended up fine. Though, the ultra silence of the hearing room really made my tinnitus obvious, I could still make out the noises that were played to me, so I went out with normal hearing.
After that, I spoke with a doctor and he basically told me that there is nothing that can be done, Tinnitus affects 70% of people in their lives, and 10% at any given time. It comes with age as cells die but brain cells still listen, and eventually start being so low standard for hearing that you hear your own brain activity.
It can come and go, but if it has come it will likely stay or come back at some point. I asked if my hearing it in two ears is a concern, he said that it was even a good side since if it was only in one ear, it meant that the one ear had a serious problem, and that it appearing in both suggests that it is simply the problem of age.
He offered me Tinnitus therapy, or something to help deal with it but he did not suggest it outright since he said that they treat it as a disease and that and he believed that you should really just not think about it since it creates a positive feedback loop. He suggested I buy a white noise generator for the nights and just told me to have a positive outlook on life.
He also told me that he has had it himself since he was a child and it is something you live with.
So I guess nothing really came out of it, other than resolution and me just having to accept the condition and learn to live with it.
My beak has had a load of whacks over the years and I suspect I may have a deviated septum. It's been five years now and I can't get a straight answer from anyone. I have to try and sleep with uncomfortable nose opener uppers and constantly breathe through my mouth. Which isn't good for you. Anyone have any advice on what I can do to speed this process up? I haven't even been seen ffs.
Edit: please don't suggest going private. I know that's probably the best option but I can't afford it.
One of the videos I will always appreciate is William getting a balloon up his nose to inflate his sinus cavities. Because my sinuses have sucked my entire life and I went "damn, I want that done, that looks like it feels so good".
So I went to an ENT and asked about it, and they were like "no you just have a bunch of pressure in your head." So I went to an audiologist AND a neurologist, got an MRI, all that fun stuff. Turns out I have increased pressure in my inner ear and have mild Meniere's Disease. Finally I got treated for that and my chronic migraines.
Without Willy boy getting a balloon inflated in his nose, I would have never known. Thanks William, I got the good drugs now.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an ENT? Or at least tell me who to stay away from? Thank you
My wife needs to see an ENT for sinus issues and possibly surgery. We saw someone in another city, and now need to find someone here. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
Can anyone recommend an Ear, nose, and throat doctor near Bchamoun area that is affordable? I have swimmers ear in my left ear
[Found] Can anyone help me find the fulltext, please? Since Sci-hub is not working right now (for articles from late 2020), I can't find it. Thanks in advance!
Ear, Nose, and Throat Manifestations of COVID-19 in Children
Any recommendations out there for an ENT provider and/or practice? I was referred to Dr. Ryan Gallivan. When doing a little googling, it seems like there are two practices in Bend with two different names and websites but the same physical address (NW Sinus Center and Central Oregon Ear, Nose, and Throat), and one of them got horrible reviews on google. That's weird. So, any recommendations would be appreciated!
I've been having restricted nasal breathing and get migraines over the past few years. I am looking to find a solid Ear Nose and Throat Doctor to see me.
Any recommendations to see (or avoid??)
