A list of puns related to "Royal Infirmary"
Student Nurse travelling from Dundee to Perth for 12.5hour shifts (6 week placement). Just wondering if anybody had any tips of where to park? By the looks of it staff carparking is applied for annually, and many staff are having to park in patient spaces and re-ticket (risk of a Β£50+ fine). Bus journey would be 1.5 hours with exchanges compared to driving 35-40mins.
Does anybody have any tips? I was going to go scout the area and if worst comes to worst offer someone local some money to park on their property for the 6 weeks...
thanks in advance!
Ask me anything you like. I'm bored!
Cheers.
Went today to get my 2nd jab. Just a real ball-ache to navigate lol. I can't be the only person who thinks this.
Just had my first Pfizer vaccine at the Manchester Royal Infirmary walk in. The walk in is located at the MRI outpatients department and is open till 5:30pm today. They also book you in for your 2nd appointment here too. Go go go!
Edit - open today, Sunday 6th, too. Happy jabbing!
Anyone know the history behind door that has βDraculas Entranceβ carved above it on Castle Street next to the cafe? Looks like itβs been there a long time.
Edit: Seems like it could be Drigate Entrance or Private Entrance perhaps Iβve been too imaginative
I slammed my face on the sidewalk at 8pm like the idiot I am, and I needed stitches, so off to A&E (the urgent care minor cuts and bruises etc) we go.
Well, in the span of four hours I was seen by three nurses, one neurologist and a plastic surgeon (stitches were applied). Further, nurses kept treating everyone there with an incredibly high standard of care, I was seen within minutes and then while waiting for the neurologist I saw tens of people being cared for. Kindly and effectively. Despite being obviously incredibly busy, they even regularly brought us water and juices! On a Friday night in the middle of a pandemic.
I got world class medical care in the span of a few hours right in the middle of a pandemic, for free... because I can't tie my shoes properly. The NHS is simply incredible, please follow the rules and don't cause even more pain to these lovely people.
I have an appointment at the infirmary that will last between 1-2 hours or so. Due to covid I am not allowed to have anyone in to accompany me so my friend who is dropping me off will be looking for something to occupy their time. Does any one have any ideas of things to do in the surrounding area? They will be driving so preferably somewhere with parking! Thanks in advance
Hi everyone I have recently been offered a job in Edinburgh and I'm already staying in travel lodge to look for properties in the area.
Unfortunately, I haven't been very successful to secure a room or one bed flat. My budget is flexible and I'll be living alone for some time before my partner joins me as well. That's why I'm more interested to rent a room for a couple of months before I decide which place to rent a flat.
I am more interested in a room preferably walking distance from Royal Infirmary so I can commute to work easily. I will be buying a cheap bike to commute to work if needed (preferably 10 minutes cycling to work)
Some people have warned me that some areas around Royal Infirmary are a bit dodgy and thus I should think of finding accommodation a bit away from it.
I have already joined Facebook group which has Edinburgh rooms and properties and posted there as well without any help. I am also looking at spare room and right move. Maybe people are a bit worried about me being a healthcare professional?
I am friendly, respect everyone and go on about my own business.
I want to move by 15th of September if that's helpful.
Thanks alot everyone !
Im due to give birth there (very) soon and would like to hear any recent reviews please! How the facilities were / staff were/ any covid procedures in place etc
Anything helpful to settle my nerves :)
Thanks!
Hi All!
I am moving to Manchester for a new job in 1-2 months time. I am looking for advice on where to live in the city. I don't know Manchester very well.
I will be working a 24/7 shift pattern including bank holidays & many night shifts & I can't drive. This means I have so far been thinking about somewhere within walking distance such as Victoria Park or Rusholme..
However, I'm hearing these are student areas and I'm looking for somewhere a bit quieter. I'm only 25 but I never enjoyed living in noisy places, even when I was a student myself.
So, if I can find somewhere with good (24/7) transport links to the hospital, I will definitely consider there instead. Can anyone help me? Thank you!
Standing outside Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Tommy recalled the closing of his campaign 6 months ago and talked about the Scottish Conservative's record and plans for the NHS.
>Morning everyone. Well today is the day. the final day of the campaign. 6 months ago I stood outside this hospital to close out my campaign and what a wild 6 months it has been since. Thanks to you, you returned the largest ever group of Scottish Conservative MSPs and we got straight down to work in delivering on your priorities. Of course I had no idea that within a few weeks of me closing out my campaign I would end up as First Minister. It's been a great term and I am so proud of everything we have done in Government. And today I am asking you to vote for us one more time. To voice your opinion as loudly and clearly as you can that in this election Scotland has backed the positive, open, tolerant message that the Scottish Conservatives have been fighting for.
>
>I repeatedly come here to this hospital during my campaigns because it is one that is important to me. of course this is the place where my son was born and it is an area that the Scottish Conservatives can take particular pride at the work we have done. If you all turn around and look over there, you will see construction work going on. That is the new multi-hundred million pound Baird Family Hospital and ANCHOR centre that is being built by NHS Grampian. It is bringing together maternity and cancer services under one state of the art roof. It was funded by the Scottish Conservatives after intense lobbying by the former MSP for this place my predecessor Tommy1Boys. Over Β£200 million worth of investment into your healthcare, right in the heart of Aberdeen.
>
>But, and yes you've probably heard me say this on the campaign trail before, we must go further and the Scottish Conservatives have a plan to go further. Our manifesto sets out one of the biggest shakeups of the way healthcare is delivered in a decade or more with our plan for the minor ailment service. I am sure some of you here have gone to the GP but felt like you were not 100% sure if you wanted to take up GP time but still thought you needed to see some healthcare professional? Well we are going to expand community healthcare provisions through allowing pharmacies to deal with minor things which still need to be checked out but which don't really warrant a GP appointment. We are going to mandate in law that they are required to be provide
Thoughts on working at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI)
Hi, Does anybody have any experience working working at the Manchester Royal Infirmary as an SHO? What's it like? Did you enjoy it? Would you recommend it? Any advice on making the most of it?
Very keen to get opinions as I start there in one month :D
