A list of puns related to "Romance of the Three Kingdoms (TV series)"
Hello :)
I would like to introduce for the Zhang Fei from Romance of the three kingdoms series. I called him "Beard" warrior because half of his face is covered by beard. It is all hand carved and it takes about 1-2 days to finish from cutting to carve and polish.
There would be 10 available and I will ship within 2 weeks.
The album, if you can not see the artisan, pls go to the form. Imgur is down currently I think.
It is Raffle style. Each key cap is $43 and tracked shipping is $11.
Please kindly inbox me if you have any question, I am more active here than email .

I did some googling and came across this Reddit thread from a year ago https://www.reddit.com/r/dynastywarriors/comments/817pkv/romance_of_the_three_kingdoms_2010_series_in/
But it looks like since then the playlist has been cut down to only 21 episodes instead of all 90+.
Can't find the full series any where! Anyone know?
I mean.. how the hell i can now decide who i start with?
Cao Cao a really great character
Sun Jian was a madlad. Ans i want to defent the south
I want to conquer china with Lu Bu and have happy ending with Diochan(?). Also xillian cavalry
Virtuous Liu Bei and Co. would be really interesting to play as well.
Of course then there is Gongsun zan and his white cavalry which i origibally wanted to start with
This show is a grand series spanning the entirety of the era. It's a great show to really sink your teeth in and get in the mood for the game.
Won't provide link since I don't want to break any rules, but it's pretty easy to find several complete playlists with subtitles on youtube.
P.S. If it's too long for you, just watch Red Cliff
I want to get it but lack of info makes me not. How well is social interactions compared to the last game? Also I hear performance is terrible is that true still or have patches fixed most of it?
Hi ! I made a similar post on this Gaming Suggestion subreddit but since I never received any answers in nearly two weeks, I hope I can ask again in this more specific subreddit.
I recently saw images of the next ROTK, ROTK XIV, coming up in early 2020 and got me interested. However, except looking a little bit images on the net, I don't know anything about the ROTK series except its goes back to the NES-era, I tried 10 minutes playing the ROTK Mobile but seems a little bit cheap and I don't think I'd like an RTS-like game on my mobile (playability, feeling, confort of playstyle, I'd prefer my PC).
I'm also interested into TW:3K since its release but couldn't buy it at the time. I love TW Shogun 2 (+ extensions) and I liked Attila (no extensions). In the MOBA-spin-off side, I really liked the short-lived TW:Arena.... So I'm a little bit more familiar with the series.
I also wanted to know a little bit better about the Three Kingdom era but I don't know what to take. So yeah, what I am asking is:
- What are the main differencies between ROTK and TW (it seems similar looking but maybe they aren't similar at all?)
- Would a complete novice into the 3K era understand one or the other better?
- Which one would you recommend as the better game about the 3K era?
- Optionnaly, if ROTK XIV doesn't seem good for whatever reason, would the older ROTK still be good enough?
Thank in advance for your answers.
'Romance of the three kingdoms' is a popular historical novel in China, and it is also very famous in Japan.
β
First, The Black eagles house is similar to Cao Wei.
Cao Cao, who leads Cao Wei, is a capable and charismatic leader.
However, he also used immoral and radical means for his own good.
For that reason, he is portrayed as a bad person and is usually criticized.
This is similar to Edelgard. And, Cao Wei and Adrestian Empire are both very powerful forces.
β
The Blue lions house is similar to Shu Han.
Both groups (Shu Han and Holy Kingdom of Faerghus) are located in harsh environment.
And Liu Bei (The Ruler of Shu Han) is a man who values virtue and loyalty. his point is similar to the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, which values the spirit of chivalry and loyalty to the king.
β
The Golden deer house is similar to Eastern Wu.
There were many independent and powerful aristocrats, and they had a great influence on the country.
In addition, Eastern Wu has displayed flexible peace policies with neighboring countries depending on the situation. These are similar to Leicester Alliance.
Lastly, Silver Snow route is similar to Jin Dynasty.
Jin Dynasty is a new country that was founded by a person who originally belonged to the Cao Wei.
This is remind of the Silver Snow Route.
Thanks for reading!
Looking for something along the lines of Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV. I see a lot of F2P clone looking games when I search in the play store, but really have no idea whether or not there is anything similar that is a quality game and doesn't include a million microtransactions. Is there anything out there?
Kind of an open ended question, I'm curious if there are any well known good books outside of the four classics that are based around politics and warfare like RotTK and have the same sort of scope and feeling.
Thanks!
Personally I think the Count of Monte Cristo!FE would be neat, or maybe something inspired from the Russian revolution or The Wars of the Roses
I'm really into the Dynasty warriors games (and the stories from the warring states period) any podcasts cover this?
I really want to know Westerners' opinions about Romance of the three kingdoms. For those of you that watched both series, here are questions for you to answer. what do you think about content and acting for both of the editions?
Okay, so I'd like to see if there's any decent graphic novels (manga/manhua/manhwa, etc) that is mostly faithful to RTK and historical events for what it's worth as I really don't have the patience to read the epic that is Luo Guanzhong's masterpiece.
So my thoughts are if you could choose 3 characters (from the three kingdoms) to be your generals in a army which ones would you use?
I would use Zhou Yu as my strategist. I think he's awesome and it's a shame he gets so overshadowed by Zhuge Liang in the novel
As my second general I want Ma Chao as a vanguard for his awesome cavalry or Xiahou Dun as a champion because he's just awesome.
As the last general I would like Huang Zhong as a sentinel because I love him from the novel the fact that he refuse to bow down to his old age. Or I might have Sun Quan as a commander.
There are so many possibilities for awesome trios I really look forward to read your comments. :)
All jokes aside I think there is good evidence that Koei Tecmo sprinkled more than a bit of romance of the three kingdoms into the story and characters of Three Houses.
A few examples Edelgard is Cao Cao. A villain to others and hero to herself and allies. Conquerer and Uniter. Both are able ministers in peacetime and heroes of chaos in wartime.
Dimitri is Liu Bei. Both are men of loyalty and honor. Justice for the people drives them to fight. Due to betrayal and death of the ones they think of as brothers they go insane with vengeance.
Claude is Sun Ce. Charismatic to the point of legendary, both are mostly carefree and family oriented.
Also interesting side note: Sun Ce was killed by an arrow.
There are other parallels to ROTK but those are what got me started on looking into the connection. I adore both ROTK and Three Houses so itβs nice to see a connection to them both
I've seen a lot of co-op RPGs set in high fantasy, medieval, and those seem to be what a typical successful RPG looks like these days. I personally love them but wanted to see what are people's appetite here for an asian themed RPG?
The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a historical story between three warring states. There are already plenty of video games that have this theme, such as the Dynasty Warriors X.
Basically, you start off as one of the three brothers, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, or some of the more known generals like Zhao Yun, Zhuge Liang. Then you venture through various campaigns, destroy the Yellow rebellion, defeat Lu Bu etc.
Edit: This is an idea for a dungeon crawler type table top RPG.
This might be niche, but I'm not sure who else to ask. I asked some Chinese people, but they weren't really sure.
My Chinese reading level has gotten to the point where I think that reading the original romance of the three kingdoms is an achievable project...not to say it'll be easy, but achievable with some patience. That said, I'm curious what sort of preparation might make reading it easy.
I've already added every character in the book to my anki queue, and I'm almost done with that (I'm a crazy person). I've also studied some ζθ¨ζ, and am happy to study more if that will be useful. I have studied a decent amount of random ancient chengyu, and like to read wuxia, so I have at least a little familiar with old timey speak, but I think it's the equivalent of going from shakespeare in the park to Beowolf...
Beyond that, my dream would be a version of the text that is heavily annotated, explaining tough passages, explaining meanings of rare characters, that sort of thing. I imagine Chinese native speakers would even find this useful, so I think there is some chance of it existing, but I looked around and couldn't find one...there is a somewhat well known version for The Story of the Stone that I was recommended, but I want to tackle the three kingdoms atm.
Thoughts? Advice?
I've been interested in trying out the NA and RotK games for some time but it feels a bit overwhelming knowing where to start when both series have as many entries across several decades. I have read that different entries go between different gameplay styles/approaches to the strategy genre, but I don't know much more than that (especially for NA; information on RotK seems easier to come across).
How do the different games in each series compare to each other gameplay-wise, and which would be the best for a newcomer?
I have been working on my jump. This isnβt the completed 1.6 I plan to add more scenario but I wanted feedback on
I made a summarised version of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the historical novel that inspired Total War: Three Kingdoms. It's for people who want to get a feel for the plot without reading the whole thing, or for fans of the story who want a refresher about what happens when. I thought Total War fans might be interested in finding out the original stories behind the game's factions and heroes, and how these weave together into the novel's epic narrative.

My summary guides the reader through each chapter, keeping track of the most important characters, so you can follow the plot of the entire epic in detail. I'm hoping people will find it useful/interesting - let me know if you have any thoughts about how it could be improved!
(I make no income from this website, it's just for my own interest)
I've asked book dealers in the US UK and even reached out to some Chinese rare book vendors with no success so help me please
Looking for someone who read romance of the three kingdom (preferably a English version) pretty much wanna know if you thought it was worth it? Iβm a die hard for the material. I find it all fascinating.
I am suggesting everyone who is interested in the romance of three kingdoms to watch the series until the release day. You can learn alot about the period and characters here best.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQgby8Rb0ImEP4108x04Feg2dBvuDADJG&disable_polymer=true
Even in HD but there are some episodes who got false copyright ownership. just watch those at another channel, tho not in hd but nothing tragic.
I played tons of Dynasty Warriors as a boy but want to read the full story. Any suggestions as to which english translation I should go with? Also how many pages is the novel?
Has it been confirmed there are connections between Three Houses and Three Kingdoms? If not do you think there will be some connections? Just late night, tired brain thoughts.
