Kareem “Biggs” Burke is an American entrepreneur best known as a co-founder of Roc-A-Fella records, launching it alongside Jay Z and Damon Dash in 1995. As the financier, he not only transformed the start-up it into a lucrative venture, but secured unprecedented distribution deals with Priority records and Def Jam. “Biggs” also became an executive producer launching many careers of upcoming artists including Kanye West.
In 2005, he and his partners sold Roc-A-Fella records to Universal records and soon after he began consulting with Def Jam/Universal.
“Biggs” also partnered with Roc-A-Wear Clothing to cross market the music his company was creating as a launch pad for the clothing line. Roc-A-Wear Clothing then went on to become the biggest urban brand in the market.
Throughout the years, Mr. Burke has expanded his enterprise in the spirits, film, and sports markets, launching Armadale Vodka, Roc Sports- a sports agency, marketing company Native and executive producing the movie with director Lee Daniels titled "Shadow Boxer.
Today, “Biggs” uses his extensive 20+ year knowledge in fashion and business to build his latest venture , denim brand Fourth of November and Roc96 clothing a collection which is inspired by different songs from JAYZ's “Reasonable Doubt,”debut album that turned 20 this year. Biggs currently runs his new marketing agency Gravity and resides in New York.
