A list of puns related to "Reply All (podcast)"
Some of the episodes have me in stitches laughing so hard and other ones are just the most heartbreaking thing ever. Do you wish you knew which ones were which or do you like being on the ride?
I'm looking for deep dives into internet culture and tech, the only things that scratch that itch are Justin Whang, wWendigoon and some of Nexpos stuff, anyone got any neat suggestions?
Edit: fantastic suggestions, ty all!
Looking for some new recommendations.
Thanks in advance! βΊοΈ
I love this show but I've just about burned through every episode and would love to know what other fans listen to. It's not so much the internet or subject matter that interests me, I just really like the format of having funny conversations as well as in-depth investigations and solving mysteries with seemingly mundane premises. I also like 99% invisible, This American Life, and Stuff You Should Know, though admittedly I've been pretty bored with the last 2 lately. I think I just really like mysteries but have listened to so much of that in the dark/creepy category (missing 411, paranormal, shipwrecks, plane crashes) that I've heard almost every story out there and it's starting to depress me lol. Thanks!
It's basically internet mysteries. Not murder or criminal, just odd tech issues that they help resolve or find the answers to.
But reply all got semi-canceled and they don't really do that segment often. Are there good altneratives?
Iβm interested in going into podcasting, so any helpful perspectives would be great.
I'd prefer to keep as much politics out of the podcasts as possible also, thanks
Edit to thank all of you who made suggestions, I've downloaded a bunch for tomorrow and Wednesday. You're all awesome!
I love the podcast Reply All, a funny take on the History of the internet, or relevant technology.
The podcast for the first few years is very high quality, not too intense, is easy to listen to, and is nerdy. I have listened to almost 6 years worth of this podcast, 168 episodes, while working, in the past month.
I have 3 problems: 1. I am running out of episodes, 2. The show after 2019 has become so political it's taking up too much headspace while I am supposed to be working, 3. I want a show that is easy to get into and not murder or crime based.
Thanks!!!
It's more on the tech/ hacking side of the internet, but there is some fantastic episodes with really interesting stories.
Looking for a podcast series and/or episode that focuses on unraveling a mystery in the same kinda style as the βLong Distanceβ episode from reply all
Still Processing from the New York Times is a podcast thatβs the mirror image of the Blocked and Reported podcast that previously discussed Reply All: the hosts are two wildly intelligent, engaging black culture writers from the Times who are definitely woke. The episode in part discusses a taxonomy of apologies and categorizes this one, or really, the original BA apology, as one of the apologies that just keeps spawning more apologies. One interesting point they made, which has been mentioned here, too, is that stepping back after an apology doesnβt do the reparative work that needs to be done, and that the apologizer should stay engaged to try to rectify the thing they are apologizing for.
I listen to a podcast called Reply All (if youβre into podcasts and havenβt heard this one, itβs really interesting. Iβve listened to every episode and theyβre all worth it in some way).
Anyway the latest episode #177 βGleeks and Gurglesβ talks about Tik Tok and how it showed someone that other no-burpers exist and how itβs algorithm might have played a roll etc (itβs generally about the internet and interesting stories around it).
The hosts had never heard of it, and it reminded me of every conversation Iβve had about not burping. Itβs worth a listen if youβre interested!
Edit: they even interview Dr. Bastian!
First off I know how that comes across but please don't get me wrong, I actually really like where Reply All has gone over the last few years and is still putting out great stuff. I'm really enjoying the current series so far for example. But I also miss the old more internet focused culture stories and super tech support type stuff. I figure someone else out there may be currently doing those types of stories, and I figure this is the place where people would know about it. I've got a lot of free time for my ears, I can do both. Thanks!
edit: Thank you all. I got lots of recommendations for Dark-net Diaries, Endless Thread, and the Mystery Show. Will check those all out!
I really crave a podcast that tells similar stories that reply all does, weird internet stories, politics, the speakers themselves investigating something (like Long Distance), anything Reply All does basically.
Preferably one that keeps posting to this day. Thanks!

This is whole story is so rich and ripe with class issues involving the Brooklyn elite media. The Reply All subreddit has a lot of good discussion.
I think Iβve probably listened to the episodes of Reply All by Gimlet twice now and have been trying to find something like it. I like the banter and topics of the show and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?
Some other podcasts Iβve been into:
You can listen to the statement here.
I have to say, I'm really disappointed. The Test Kitchen staff deserve to have a voice. I hope we get to hear their stories somehow, soon.
Underunderstood is good...Iβve only listened to a few episodes, and none have blown me away yet, but they all have been solid.
They cover small time mysteries that βcanβt be solved on the internet.β Their research is strong, the production is top notch, and the hosts are cool
I never heard of it until the other day I saw it mentioned somewhere on Reddit. Check it out!
I was listening to the latest episode of reply all podcast this one and at the end, they invited their boss (gimlet boss) that created a podcast called How to Save a Planet. They invited him because one of the co-hosts of Reply all is a collapsnik and is doomscrolling a lot (Hi if you are reading this!)
And his, the boss, general message was that the nihilism and the inactivity of people will bring an even faster collapse than trying to oppose and do something about the climate change.
>ALEX BLUMBERG: I know, I know you feel that... thatβs fine. But itβs not true. And so you shouldnβt be telling people that. Trump feels that the election was stolen from him - itβs not true and so you shouldnβt be telling people that. Cause you do have a platform and lots of people listen to you. There is this like βall is lost so fuck itβ mentality which I think is - that I think is incredibly damaging. And especially from people who actually, people um I hate to say this but... I respect [laughs] and admire [laughs] and follow.
>ALEX GOLDMAN: Yeah. Give me reasons to be cheerful!
> ALEX BLUMBERG: The single most exciting thing is that renewable energy is now as cheap or cheaper than fossil fuel energyβ¦ and solar in particular is now being called the cheapest electricity in history. So like, thereβs all these like, market forces now that are like, speeding the transition. Um, so this gigantic, huge blocker that was the oil industry, that hadβthat was incredibly powerful and had this super cheap, super efficient energy source, they are rapidly losing their power.
> And the biggest car company in the world right now, the most valuable car company in the world, umβ
All I was thinking when doing my dishes and listening to this was :
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. What's not true? Not true that we are still missing all possible climate change goals? It's false that each subsequent year is hotter? It's false that some seas and oceans are running out of fishes? It's not true that we destroyed forests? It's not true that we are doomed?
A guy that profited from the system for decades and is the boss of gimlet finally had a change of heart in the middle of 2020 (I wonder if the pandemic played a part) and is saying it is not too late. He acknowledges that the coral reefs will go away or the ocean rise will happen but he still tries to change something. Good for him but he was looking at it fr
... keep reading on reddit β‘The two seasons of the βfindingβ podcasts were some of my favorite podcasts in a while! I love the comedic approach of a quirky mystery. Reply All also did a good job at this, but Iβve already listened to their Tech Support episodes.
Iβve searched this sub and have found the following recommendations:
Ones Iβve already listened to (that may kinda, sorta fit the bill):
Hello fellow podcast lovers!
The COVID era has created a podcast addiction that's hard to fuel! My go-to show lately is Reply All and since I've listened to virtually all the episodes, I'm looking for something similar. Essentially, a podcast with relatively lighthearted and interesting lifestyle or investigative stories with a good host.
Thanks :-)
In a few posts thereβs been some interns who have commented about whatβs going on over there in the past. Iβd be interested to know if anyone had any information of how they feel the show is going? From the outside, it feels like the show is slowly dying. There seems a lack of chemistry between the hosts (who never appear together), a lack of creative, investigative journalism, and a rise of political, woke debates that are so far from the showβs USP, itβs ridiculous. Does anyone have any insider insight? Iβm gutted my favourite podcast is failing so hard.
What other podcasts have you found similar to Reply All? I love PJ and Alexβs chemistry and the way they combine humor and learning. Iβve listened to every episode and canβt find another podcast I like as much.
