A list of puns related to "Reason (EP)"
This is a situation my father had in 2013. He was a taxi driver for years, and after this happened, he immediately quit and became a truck driver.
It was Saturday night. It was well past midnight, so already Sunday, around 3 AM. My dad had just driven one person home, when the dispatcher called him.
3:03 AM my dad receives the destination and fare. Disco club (Redacted), two women, one of them Ana.
3:08 AM my dad's at the entrance to (Redacted)
3:12 AM two girls enter my dad's car, one of them Ana. Around 25 years old, both, and also, both drunk as hell. Ana gives two addresses to my dad, first her apartment building, then her friend's house.
3:20 AM the car is at the first address. The other girl says that she has money to pay the full fare, so Ana leaves the car. She's very drunk and insecure on her feet. There's no light at the entrance to Ana's apartment building. My dad uses the headlamps of his car to shed light at the entrance to Ana's building, so that she can find the keys, open the door and so on. This is a common practice among taxi drivers: Always make sure that a woman arrives at the destination safe and sound.
3:25 AM the car leaves the first address and heads for the second.
3:32 AM the car arrives at the second address. In the meantime, the second girl passed out.
If there wasn't for this first stop, the total time to drive from (Redacted) to the second address would be less than 10 minutes, btw, and it's relevant for the later events)
3:33 AM my dad leaves his car, locks all the doors and enters the courtyard. This is also a standard procedure: if your fare is unconscious, and even more so if the fare is a woman, do not touch her. If you are at her destination, call someone from there to pick her up and pay for the fare. If there's no-one at the destination to help you with her, call the ambulance or police. So, my dad knew that it was Saturday night, that they were at a disco and had a lot of drinks, and he had no reason to call the emergency, at least not before he tries to get help from a family member.
3:34 AM he rings at the house doors
3:36 AM the girl's father opens the door.

It's a mix of the way the rape part is presented (and before that omitted by his explanation of the curse's events), the fact he knows about Vereena being a vampire and the decision, on his part, to conceal her killing spree (whereas in the books he didn't realize what kind of monster she is - I don't know the English term, in Italy it was "ondina" IIRC...and he only hid her because she "seemed" to be shy).
To be honest, I had a similar impression too, and this is why I half-expected Geralt's reaction. I had told myself something akin to "if the rape part is still included, when Geralt will know about it he won't react as in the books...not with Ciri there and an old friendship collapsing".
A lot of people underlined how this is a betrayal of the short story, where Nivellen is seen as a monster in the beginning and Vereena as a simple girl, whereas the ending "swapped" the roles. But looking back I think there could be an interesting reason for this approach on the writers' part. We know, because of the way the episode is presented, an actual monster is "hunting" there, and we suspect about Vereena from the start (not like in the short story). Nivellen, on the other end, is presented as a friend almost from his first scene. We are led to believe he is simply cursed, even innocent in a certain sense (peer pressure, and robbing a temple is small guilt if compared to that curse). In short, the readers know that, in the short story, Vereena is the actual beast and Nivellen the good guy. And the audience, after S1 and years of not-so-different stories, will expect something similar to what the readers know from the books.
The writing here, in hindsight, was interesting: both the short story and the show presented the curse as dependant on the mutual love (although the show added a greater relevance to the "loss" of that love, earlier with the Yennefer's reference and then openly after the curse is lifted), but they actually ended up humanizing Vereena through her scenes with Ciri, almost presenting her as (I am using some Redditor's metaphor) a cat instinctively drawn to kill any fleeing animal. On the other hand, what everyone thought about Nivellen (readers and audience, although for different reasons - knowledge of the books vs "experience") was wrong. The episode flipped their roles, if compared to the book...but funny enough, this mean

Edit: Fixed a typo that made it sound like I didn't like the album. The album's great, but the spoken word in the beginning is listed, but can't be played on Spotify. What gives?
Tldr; FCG will sacrifice himself if the other players aren't going to stop him.
Ok, to explain that, here's the longer version: FCG believes he/ they have no soul: a construct, just a machine. He is clearly here to help Ashton, and now their new friends as well. He's a cleric of a homebrew subclass that gives him a concerning feature: the ability to take half the damage an ally would've taken. This is very handy, and probably the reason why his constitution is so high: to tank with this ability. But giving this feature to a robot that doesn't believe he's a person with a soul, is straight-up DANGEROUS. I believe that if FCG dies this campaign, it'll be while using this feature: taking huge damage for a friend, and sacrificing himself. It sounds like something Sam would do in a heartbeat.
But, how would they be able to stop FCG from doing that? Well, now I'm going to delve into even hypothetical-er things: what the c3 crew will do later on. I believe that they might go to the tinkerers home, where FCG was created with the others. There they might find some kind of blueprints, in which they discover that there IS a soul in autognomes (thats what theyre called). If FCG is still alive by then, he'd see himself as more then a machine: a living being. He'd value himself more, and it would be a beautiful moment. So the options are 1. Sam will break our hearts by sacrificing FCG or 2. The crew get far enough that they discover FCG is way more then a bunch of circuits.
(Also, here's a possible reason why the creator used a soul: because normal robots wouldnt be able to do magic? But that might be looking too far into it)
If you read all of that, wow, thanks for listening to my ramblings about our favourite roboboy:) If u got further questions about this theory, I'll try to respond, I just LOVE theorising/ discussing theories:)
Basically if you agree or not, and if you agree I want to know why. I personally donβt though because can eijun really be a watered-down version of anything?

I was cleaning my room and had a thought about episode 7...
What if the reason why the glass exploded after everyone (Gi-Hun, She-byeok, and Sang-woo) safely made it to the other side was because the bridge was programed to do so to eliminate all remains players who would still be on the bridge? (Just like how the guns shot any other players who hadn't made it across the finish line in Ep. 1) And maybe they forgot to turn it off because they weren't expecting everyone else to get to the other side?
I dunno. Just a theory. Thoughts?
We are getting by with EBF and Iβm building up a freezer stash, but I am considering going EP to see if it helps my little man.
Iβm frustrated that I canβt measure his intake through EBF, and because I BF and pump I am only pumping 1.5-3oz per session (currently pumping once in the AM & PM, BF through the day & night).
We have to use a nipple shield because my nipples are so flat, and frankly the advice I am getting about physically traumatising my nipples to try and achieve EBF without the shield is freaking me out.
Heβs also been increasingly gassy and I just wonder if I could be better managing things somehow.
TIA!
The translations across the separation scene in both manga (chp 338) and the anime (ep 147, 2011) has some shortfalls. These dialogues are vital for understanding even the first layer of reasons behind this separation.
REASONS FOR KILLUA'S DELICATELY PLANNED SEPARATION
1. WHEN -
There are very important reasons why Killua picked a specific timing to tell Gon about Alluka. It was Killua's plan all along, to only tell Gon at a moment's notice, to make sure Gon wonβt get time to ask any DETAILS. He is deliberately downplaying the seriousness of everything heβs been through to heal Gon, so it will have less impact on Gon, and at the same time, avoid Gon asking details.Β Prior to healing Gon, Killua specifically asked Morel and Leorio to promise not to tell Gon that he saved him. After Gon was healed, there was a scene in the anime (ep 148) which showed the three spent a night together before reaching the World Tree. During that time, Killua still haven't said anything. It was until the moment when they were literally saying the last goodbye, Killua casually brought up:
βOh, by the way, this guy healed you."
I want to emphasis the word Killua used to address Alluka was βγγγ€β. This is a very light and overly casual word used to address someone you know, and usually a playful guy friend. (e.g. βThis guy used to be my neighbour.β type of feeling) The manga and anime translation βSheβs the one that healed you.β did not clearly depict the intentional casualness.
2. WHAT was SAID -
If Killua just doesnβt want to burden Gon with guilt and responsibility, then why not just keep his mouth shut and say nothing? Thatβs because Killua found a better option than not telling Gon anything. Killua shifted the βpriority of reasonsβ a bit, so the VERSION OF EVENTS he told Gon, was PRIORITISED on Allukaβs rescue rather than healing Gon. This way, they will also get to THANK Gon, and put an emphasis on thanking Gon because Killua make it SEEMED like it was more important to rescue Alluka, that the INITIAL REASON for Killua to go home, was to rescue Alluka. Only AFTER Alluka was freed, they came to the hospital to heal Gon, out of convenience, since only Alluka has the ability to do so, and since sheβs now outside. The MAIN motive for these past events has been delicately swapped around by Killua, so the focus switched to the rescue of Alluka, rather than healing Gon. Hence Alluka is βNo. 1β, Gon is βNo. 2β. Downplaying it so he

For some reason, I think the killing is just as important an aspect of the pill's side effects as the blood-craving.
Blood can be acquired without you having to slay it's source, but this doesn't seem to ever be an option for the pill poppers; it's almost never considered.
Aside from Belle bleeding Mickey a bit --which he was reluctant to let her do b/c he says she took it too far before-- and which she refers to as just being a "snack between meals," and Harry providing blood for Alma, which we come to see didn't fully satisfy her, blood alone does not able to be able to satiate the Popper appetite properly.
Thoughts?
Am I wrong in thinking that the acquisition of Inner Spirit holdings should have at least caused the stock to go up a bit? I feel like a positive EPS is the only thing that can bring the stock price up at this point and no amount of good news can fix it.
Iβm typing this from my phone but bare with me. Im not sure if this is considered an EP post but here ya go. TLDR at bottom.
To give an insight, my sister was diagnosed with depression lately to which upset EM. She really didnβt like the fact that my sister was diagnosed with depression at all. EM then asked, βwhy are you depressed for? Me and ED havenβt done anything to you.β My sister responds angrily by saying, βBecause you guys donβt understand how I feel and what Iβm going through right now. You guys are stressing me out.β The argument goes back and forth between my sister and EM. Now, the reason why my sister is depressed and stressed is because of collage and work which is understandable. She tells me this reason but to not my parents because sheβs scared they wonβt understand her.
On a Sunday, she left the house around 2PM to visit her boyfriend but never came back until 10:30PM. ED and EM gets furious, impatient, you name it. On my sisterβs way home, ED side comments that my sister should never rely on her boyfriend because heβs just an βoutsiderβ who wont help her or do anything. Also, βif I were her boyfriend, I would leave her because sheβs acting like this.β Like wtf! Whatβs even more crazy is the fact that ED tells my sister who gets home and tries to explain things to ED and EM, ED tells her to keep your depression a secret and not brag it to βoutsidersβ. He also tells her that sheβs in college but she doesnβt have any common sense, that sheβs stupid for being depressed just because she has a hard time trying to tell ED and EM that she has depression, and that sheβs angry all the time because if we talk to her, sheβll yell at the rest of the household. I mean patients who are diagnosed with depression get irritated/easily angry? My sister answers ED that everytime she tells EP her reasoning, EP either laughs or yells back at her. ED denies that answer my sister tells him but the only things ED could argue back is that EP have raised me and my siblings since we were babies and thatβs not enough love for us just because we think they wonβt understand. I feel like parents should be more educated on the topic of mental health and understanding what their child is going through. At this point, Iβve been contemplating about moving out. I canβt stand this toxicity within my household.
TLDR; EP gets upset at my sisterβs reasoning for her depression. οΏΌ
