Hello all! I'm a moderator of /r/realmadridfem and have been requested by the moderators of /r/realmadrid to provide an insight into the femenino squad. It seems a fitting time to do this for a number of reasons; the newly established nature of the Real Madrid Femenino project, the 2^(nd) place finish in the 2020/21 Primera Division - our first appearance in the Spanish Women's top division as 'Real Madrid Femenino' and of course, our recent (& well fought) victory to get into the group stages of the UEFA Women's Champion's League - another first for the club.
It is evident from the above alone that the club and this group of players - some new, some present even before Real Madrid Femenino was established - are continuously breaking barriers. They are also making a name for themselves in the history books of not only the club but women's football/soccer.
The club itself formed on 1^st July 2020 through the absorption of Club Deportivo TACON. Of course, many of TACON's players continued on as Real Madrid Femenino players and some departed. However, in its final season with knowledge of new management and a new board with lofty ambitions and goals, the club attracted international talent like our Swedish star striker Kosovare Asllani and the experienced midfielder, Aurélie Kaci of France. The club is currently managed by David Aznar and play its home games at Campo 11, Ciudad Real Madrid, Valdebebas. Before moving onto the players, a small acknowledgement has to be made of Ana Rossell, a former player and lifelong Madridista who was instrumental in convincing Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, in the formation of Real Madrid Femenino.
Without further ado, here is the squad (as per the club's official website).

At just 22, Misa has become the first choice keeper and for good reason. In the club's first season last year she was the winner of the Zomora trophy for conceding the least amount of goals over the course of the season. She was also at the centre of the 'Misma Pasion' movement advocating equality between the male and female game. A motion e
