I watched Pulp Fiction tonight and one thing I notice every time I watch is how perfect the soundtrack is. Specifically "you'll be a woman soon" during the overdose scene. I really can't think of a better movie song choice than that one. In general Tarantino does an incredible job with soundtracks. I also love the Tupac song that plays during the Django shootout at the end of the movie.
Pulp Fiction uses a lot of fantastic songs, and uses them very well. Usually Miserlou, You Never Can Tell, Girl Youβll be a Woman Soon, and maybe Jungle Boogie are the songs talked about in particular. And theyβre all great, but Iβve always loved the scene where Marcellous and Butch are talking early on in the movie and Letβs Stay Together is in the background. I donβt know why, but it just fits so well, and itβs such a sexy song.
Dig surf rock? Pulp Fiction?

"Twenty-five years ago, Quentin Tarantino gave the world his cinematic masterpiece, Pulp Fiction. But it was more than just a movie, it was a bona fide cultural happening that changed the landscape of film, music and media. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Renegade Lounge will perform Pulp Fictionβs groundbreaking soundtrack in its entirety. Weβll be the house band to a revolving cast of some of our favorite New Haven musicians. Special guests include Val McKee of Junebug Saddle, Brian Samuel Robinson of The Tet Offensive and The New Chastity, Loralee Geil, Brendan Toller of Dust Hat, Richard Brown of Happy Ending and the Sawtelles, and more! Hosted by Karen Ponzio (KP The Word)."
Pulp Fiction featured Urge Overkill's cover of Neil Diamond's "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon." While Neil himself is featured in OUATIH via "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show," we also briefly hear Deep Purple's cover of his song "Kentucky Woman."
