In England for example the fixed date bank holidays (Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year) get postponed: eg the Christmas and Boxing Day holidays last year were on 27th and 28th December.
In Czechia on the order hand I believe this isn’t the case, and this year 5 out of the 13 public holidays will fall on a weekend.

It’s a genuine issue for people with decreased mobility not to be able to use the handrail to hold on when using stairs in pubs, restaurants and shops. Even preschoolers struggle if they don’t have something to hold on to.
As a non-boring American, I sincerely wish the day after Halloween was a day off. As it is, we have to wait for it to fall on a Friday or a Saturday for us to enjoy Halloween to its full potential.

What about in your country?
Users in our company when going to https://google.com end up with a Spanish language page. If we go to https://maps.google.com the map is centered over Mexico. This first happened December 1, 2021 and "magically" resolved itself because we had plans in place to port these Lumen assigned nets to a new physical circuit on December 10, 2021.
But on January 11, 2022, it started happening again.
This geolocation problem only happens with Google, including YouTube TV. If we access any other geolocation service, they report our IP in the US. This does not happen if a user is logged into their Google account.
Our company does have a location in Mexico and their Internet traffic is routed out this IP along with most other international locations.
My search for a solution has been incomplete, but came up with the following:
- Use this URL to report IP problems https://support.google.com/websearch/workflow/9308722?hl=en
- Try using https://google.us to nudge Google geolocation AI to relocate our IP to the US.
- Contact Google, but how?
No one seems to know how Google geolocates IP's.
As a workaround, we have changed certain clients to use a different source NAT IP.

I'm American and wish to go to Yucatan one day soon and maybe look for distant relatives, how would I go about finding out names and public records ? An would I be allowed to as an American, do I have to be a Mexican citizen?
I know her since 2019 and we never met before in real life because we met online. All our previous communication ended up being toxic in which she manipulated and abused me emotionally. We stopped communication 4 months ago after I told her I never wanna see her again and now this happened suddenly. This was a hard decision since I’ve been longing for physical intimacy since I was 16 years old (now 28). But still, I rather have none of it, then to have it with a abusive, manipulative person who has never respected my boundaries and for that decision, I am proud of myself. Because I know my worth and I deserve someone who treats me with love and respect. Someone who is not constantly trying to push my boundaries.

I'm a kindergarten teacher at a public school. I've taught in 4 different states and this school is what I would consider Christmas crazy. The Christmas crafts are so intense they asked parent for donations, there's a field trip to a place to ride a Christmas train and meet Santa, and there is a breakfast with Santa.
My family celebrates Hanukkah, so for social studies I planned a holiday around the world unit and had a few very secular hanukkah activities. I got an e mail today asking me to tone down Hanukkah. The principal's exact words were maybe just pick one. I'm not one to complain or be offended, but 3 Hanukkah activities seems quite minimal in comparison to the Christmas festivities. I'm not quite sure how to respond. Any advice is appreciated.
