A list of puns related to "Problematic (album)"
Both the music and the popcorn machine are about to get turned up.
Donda is the latest Kanye album. It's named after his mother who passed away years ago. On Thursday, he held a listening party to promote the album. The performance itself was to also memorialize her as Kanye cared for his mother deeply. Multiple people attended, including Marilyn Manson.
Manson has been accused of domestic abuse and sexual assault by multiple women. This did not stop Kanye from choosing to invite him.
Naturally, many took issue with this. But as you all know, diehard fans exist. And just as there are many that condemn their idol for being problematic, there are also people willing to excuse any behavior.
Excuses from self proclaimed Kanye dickriders (yes, they do call themselves that) start pouring in as soon as people make call out posts. Examples vary from "it's just Kanye being Kanye, what did you expect?" to "it was okay because it's symbolic, he's surrounding himself with sinners and forgiving them like Jesus" to, you guessed it, "people are just virtue signalling".
It's fan vs fan and the only thing that is guaranteed is infinite popcorn.
"Innocent until proven guilty. False accusations exist"
"Dude's rock. Fuck those hoes"
"Who cares. Deal with it. I'm still listening to Ye forever"
"People will look back on this performance in 5 years and think its genius"

... keep reading on reddit β‘Some people skip bits, or struggle to listen to the whole album back to back. Some like the whole thing, this post isn't aimed at them :)
But if you struggled to listen to the whole of Geogaddi, I'd like to know and why. What tracks or sequences were particularly difficult? What did you struggle with? Did it get better with time? I'll leave my own view in the comments.
Edit: thank you all for commenting. Seems there are some people who share this view, and some who don't understand this view, that in itself is an interesting observation!
Hi all, I've been procrastinating on starting my music production hobby for years now. But I finally have my DAW (Reaper) and my starter VSTs (mostly Massive) installed and I'm ready to start covering songs and learning.
I want to learn the bouncy synth from the introduction of Problematic by Bo Burnham: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsTG1ETKkHo
I know it's syncopated on the off-beat, but it seems to me like this synth is automated to play at 140 bpm and that as you hold down the note it plays 8th notes, one soft and one loud. How would I go about making this sound and automating it like that?
I'm going to be using Massive to start out with, but if you want to suggest other VSTs I need to be able to make this sound I'm open to downloading / buying more tools.
SHORT DISCLAIMER: This post is not meant to shame or implicate anyone who has bought many albums for a fan event. It is just to discuss the problematic system of fansigns and how they can tend to bring in more toxic fans than good ones. Full disclaimer at the bottom.
We all know at least one cringe fansign/fancall story,
They happen seemingly every time one of these events happen, and they leave a lasting effect of cringe and overall shame. From inappropriate behavior and language, to cringe requests, to disrespectful questions, to crossing boundaries, we've seen it all. And we can't help but wonder if these experiences sour our idols opinions of their true fans, and if they scar the poor idols in general.
But why do these issues occur so often? It's commonly known that the vast majority of kpop fans are respectful and generally rational and simply appreciative of their faves. The outspoken minority is the exception. If this is the case, statistically, fancall/fansign events should have far fewer problematic fan incidents, since they are supposedly drawing from a pool of all kpop fans. Right?
Right?
Well, not necessarily. In order to get into most fan events, you need to buy albums. As many as possible, to have a higher chance. Generally, the people with the highest number of bought albums have the highest chances to get into a fancall/sign. To most normal kpop fans, buying more than like 1 to maybe 3 to 5 albums is out of the question for various reasons. But not for the kind of crazed, obsessed fans that is willing to do whatever it takes for contact with an idol.
For example, I would love nothing more than to meet itzy and talk to them. But would I ever buy more than one album for a fancall? No, because I don't have the kind of money to waste by buying excess for a slim chance at meeting my favorite artist. And it's a waste of material in general, since I don't need more than one album anyway. But to someone who is so desperate to meet their idol, and so crazed with their admiration, this logic doesn't apply.
Since these fansigns are set up this way, more crazy fans are likely to get spots than regular fans, simply due to their desperation to meet their idols and their willingness to spend an absurd amount of money for a small chance. And I'm sure companies realize this risk they are putting their idols through. But hey, more album sales equals more money. And that's all they want.
Now, OF COURSE THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS. Many people
... keep reading on reddit β‘Bear with me as I'm not reddit savvy. But one topic of discussion that I feel like I see a lot ( especially on booktok), is when it comes to books with characters who exhibit problematic behaviors (i.e. they're racist, homophobic, ableist, etc) it's so common to automatically connect those behaviors done by fictional characters to the author. As an example, the book Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell has instances where Eleanor (and another character whose name I can't remember) makes racists comments about Park the other main character who is Korean. Now, not only have readers decided Eleanor racist for making those comments (which I can understand), but now Rainbow Rowell is racist for writing a character who has made a racist comment.
Now, I haven't read anything by Rainbow Rowell in who knows how many years, nor do I know anything about the woman, so by all means she could be racist and I just not know. But this is just one of many examples that I've seen where a character's disagreeable actions are immediately seen as a reflection of the author.
I'm not sure if I've explained myself very well here, but I would love to you know your guys' thoughts on this. Does a character's problematic behavior make the author problematic? At what point are accusations like this accurate? Why are some unable to separate a character's behaviors from the author?
Ender's Game is one of my all time favorite books. With nothing to do one evening, I decided to start reading it to my 10 year olds.
Man, there are some problematic passages that caught me off guard. In the second chapter Peter makes a oral and anal sex joke to Valentine.
Later, in battle school, Ender calls Alai the "n-word" and jokes about owning him as a slave. I basically improvised on the fly. But I don't remember any of that from when I read it as a kid.
Anyone else reread an old favorite book and be shocked at some parts?
edit:: Thanks everyone for your comments. About half the people think i'm nuts for reading this book to my kids, the other half think they've already heard worse on the school grounds. Many are shocked that I am upset about sex and the n-word and not about the violence. And I guess that is a really interesting observation to make about modern western culture. I think the violence in Ender's game is absolute essential to the story and is a compassionate and incredibly empathetic discussion about bullying, self identify, self-harm and suicide. Unlike most media, the violence is not glorified in any way and we see the true cost to the perpetrator and the victim.
I've tried looking online but all that comes up are polls and articles talking about 'the flag'. When I say south I mean the actual cultural difference between us and the north. I don't want any symbols related to the confederacy or rebellion symbols like the come and take it flag.
Looking for something that more so represents the south as a whole rather than a specific state.
This is something that has bothered me a lot as a black kpop stan for quite the while. Do I personally get disappointed and offended when idols do racist and problematic things?
Very much, yes.
BUT!!!
I do not anti or send death threats to said idols. Most of the time I just don't talk about them at all. There are a few idols that I like who have done things that, again, offends/ disappoints me. I can understand the wrong in their actions and criticize that accordingly. I take breaks from idols who disappoint me even. This is what I had to do with my ults (NCT) back in 2020 bc they kept doing so much. I still appreciate their talent and their artistry but their actions laid a heavy weight on my shoulders. I critiqued those very actions. On TikTok after opening up to a person about my struggles and then they proceeded to make a whole account telling the world Abt my feelings and that I should off myself afterwards. This is where the majority of my issues are coming from in these situations.
People do not know how to have level-headed discussions whenever it comes to these issues in kpop. Of course, these issues do not just solely exist within K-pop alone. But I'm going to strictly talk about kpop because this is the only place where I see this. When issues of racism pop up in K-pop so many people are quick to send death threats to the idol. Now, I'm not going to say "go in baby the idol!!!!" but I'm also not going to sit inside with people who would wish death on someone. This is one of my favorite sayings "two wrongs do not make a right." When Giselle said the N-slur and posted an apology people did not accept that apology for a very valid reason. But people also continue to bash her for her looks, her body, her dancing, her rapping, ECT. It's like a continuous hate train for this case and many others just like it. If someone says that they like Giselle or accept her apology they end up getting DTS and told to off themselves as well. Adding fuel to a already burning fire does not solve anything. We're never going to get to a conclusion if we constantly bash people and make them feel like shit.
Which kind of brings me to my next point. When someone supports an idol who has done something wrong a lot of the time they will get hate for it. People will assume they're racist by association which is not true. I think a lot of K-pop stans forget that we are individuals and people before we are stans. The idols we like do not define us as people. We are

Before I start this post, I would like to say that English isn't my first language and therefore may write sentences/phrases with some grammatical errors. I hope my point can come across!
This post is in three parts: Overview, history, and "so what's the problem?"
<Overview>
This is not a hate post. This is a genuine concern.
As a fellow Korean, watching the first episode of the drama was simply painful. It actually hurts.
To put it in short words: the very plot & setting in the drama is the very example of distorting historyβhistory that is DIRECTLY linked to the very reason why South Koreans have the freedom they have today. I don't care if the producers/directors are saying that "it's just fiction!"
They should not have even dared to fictionalize this historical event.
To put it into context: What would be your reaction if you saw a romance Netflix Series that portrays the Nazis as somewhat likable and glorifies them?
That would be almost the equivalent of what is going on. The "Central/government intelligence" agents that appear is this drama, called "Ahn-ghi-boo" (μκΈ°λΆ) WERE NOT PEOPLE who were attempting to catch North Korean spies.
They are a group who killed SO many innocent peopleβespecially young students at the time who were protesting against the oppression. It used the above as an excuse; they accused innocent college/graduate students who were fighting for their freedom as a North Korean spy, just to torture them and kill them.
If you have seen the drama, there is a scene where the agent demands that he enter the girls' dorm, and the headmaster(the lady who was refusing them to go in) refuses and asks for a search warrant. I literally laughed when I saw that.
What ACTUALLY would have happened is, she would not even had chance to "talk back" at the dude. She would just be dead. Ahn-ghi-boo gave no shits about being decent, if they didn't like you, they were free to drag you out of your dorm/house and beat you/drown you (or whatever) to death.
This means that during his time, you could literally die any day.
If you were accused of being a "North Korean spy," you would be tortured to death.
If you were a student who was part of the protest to demand for freedom, you would be beaten to death.
By whom? By the intelligence agents ( shown in the drama!!!!!)
And I see this fu**ing drama portraying them as some reasonable, likable people. Like what the hell?

... keep reading on reddit β‘When people complain about how it sounds rapey or is problematic it makes me question if they have ever been in a relationship. I am assuming they the two people in the song are at least dating.
Not wanting your partner to go out in a blizzard is a completely natural thing. I sure as hell would try to get my gf to stay if it's so bad outside. She doesn't even seem like she really wants to go (lyrics like "the evening has been so nice" and "maybe just a half a drink more", "I ought to say no no sir, at least I'll say that I tried)
It always gave me the same vibe as someone who just had a responsibility to get to but doesn't really want to do it, like leaving your buddies early so you can wake up early the next day.
I've always thought it was more natural to assume "hey what's in this drink" as her genuinely enjoying the taste and asking, or her tasting alcohol she isn't familiar with. That makes more sense to me than assuming the writer of the song is talking about drugging your date.
But as with everything, I could be wrong. Any other perspectives?
Okay so this comment couldn't be posted as a separate post by a fellow group member because of her low karma. So, I'm posting it here as it was quoted by her.
He does have rape fantasies. I went through his "processor in love" series which has so many problematic things.
A) Why is he falling for a student? And that too not just once but twice. It is highly unethical.
B) A character in his story is gang raped by men IN FRONT OF HIM. like what the actual fuck dude.
C) In one of his recent reels he has kidnapped a girl and is manipulating her to believe that "she is his first choice" (meaning she should be happy about it)
D) There were another reels by him that I saw long long time ago where he has again kidnapped another girl and now he is beating himself up infront her (again manipulation) so that she can fall for him.
GUYS HIS POSTS & STORIES ARE REALLY TRIGGERING FOR EVERYONE & ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH ANY SORT OF BULLY OR HARASSMENT. HE'S REALLY A BIG MANIPULATOR & I REALLY WISH WE COULD DO SOMETHING TO TEACH A LESSON TO HIM. IT'S NOT AS EASY AT LOOKS, HE SERIOUSLY IS A SICK SICK MAN. What he posts on his stories is not less than se**ting, WTF IS HAND GAME/PLEASURE ETC ETC. How can he have the guts to post such bs khullam khulla??? Usko Darr hi nahin hai...there are so many young impressionable girls following him, he really needs to calm down his inner hawaskhor. HE NEEDS TO STOP ROMANTICISING RAPES, KIDNAPPING, MANIPULATION & GASLIGHTING.
I feel the need to specify that I am a forever DM playing for the first time in 6 years and my current DM is doing this I am a Cleric who is level 3 whereas my party is up to 4 or 5
I first found out about Nikocado coincidentally around the time I found out about Trisha when H3 did that Instagram Reality video. I first felt bad when I learned of Nikocado being ghosted by Trisha, but then when I saw other videos about some of his problematic nature, hypocrisy as he would treat others the way he felt Trisha treated him, and some of his more bigoted beliefs I was completely turned off. Was not going to watch the episode anyways if he came on as I felt Ethan might try to get into another toxic friendship like the one with Trisha he just came out of. That guy is just as manipulative as Trisha, and obviously is not in the best mental state. So if Nikocado really canceled, then I think the H3 family dodged a bullet.
Edit: I did want to say some of the stuff that really turned me off completely from Nikocado was his casual racism and use of racial slurs, especially his racism towards Koreans which I find ironic since Mukbang came from Korean culture and is what his guy is making his money off of doing. Also his abusive nature towards his partner was horrible to learn about, going crazy with a knife, and a whole lot of manipulative stuff towards his friends, other YouTubers, which were so crazy even Trisha wanted to avoid him.
And i mean really unpopular something that would send you to jail. I wonβt judge you but maybe i will
β¦ Adam (C21) didnβt have a strong personality he was just annoying (and kissing that dog was nasty)
Initially the plan was to have a Bipartisan Commission in the style of 9/11; Although all House Democrats and 35 Republicans voted in favor of a bill that would set up a Blue Ribbon Commission; it did not garner sufficient support of Republican senators and the vote in the Senate was 54 to 35, showing the bill had a bipartisan majority of support with six Republicans voting with Democrats. However, the bill needed 60 votes to advance or overcome the filibuster. Thereafter, instead, a House Select Committee was established where of the 9 House members only two are Republicans.
The Committee, nonetheless, is pursing all avenues available to it and so far has obtained various documents; it is also fighting privileged communication claims which the former president has raised [along with his various aides]; former president lost at the district court and appeal levels; Supreme Court may or may not hear the appeal and the the former president has less than 14 days left to request review.
The various [non-privileged] text messages turned over to the Select Committee by Meadows includes text messages to Meadows from Trump Jr. stating "He's got to condemn this sh*t ASAP." Ingham in her text said: βMark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home." βThis is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy.β Sean Hannity asked Meadows if Trump could βmake a statementβ and βask people to leave the Capitol.β
Cheney detailed that when Meadows had texted back he agreed with what Trump Jr. said: "We need an Oval office address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand." Although Cheney's comments were directed towards why Meadows must be held in contempt; [unanimously agreeing to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with its work.] Her remarks about Trump himself and his conduct makes one wonder if eventually the Committee intends to gather evidence of possible sedition or evidence of other criminal wrong doing by Trump himself.
If so, and if they find evidence against the former president for conduct while he was in office? Would this precedent be problematic for all future presidents; particularly, if it eventually leads to charges by DOJ?
Can I just say that in this reboot, Steve is the most trashed character by the writers.
Iβll also say that there are some who are saying that Steve deserves to be cheated on because heβs not like Miranda intellectually or socially is pure snobbery.
How is Che an upgrade? Che is a rude, obnoxious, uncouth person whoβs only intellectual prowess is smashing the Woke Moment button.
I like most fans donβt like how Steve is being treated like some cast aside tissue, I really hope Steve lashes out at Miranda and leaves her, he doesnβt deserve this treatment, no matter what issues are in their marriage.
Yes, I know Steve cheated years ago and he was profusely sorry while Miranda just wrote him off, difference being the woman who Steve slept with is unknown to us or Miranda, sheβs just a random nobody, Che is Carrieβs boss and friend, so itβs closer to home.
I can't remember the exact wording but he said stuff about cheer being "too girly" and he picked TVCC cuz the guys were more masculine and there were too many gay guys at Navarro?? If I remember correctly he didn't say it super blatantly but I think it was definitely implied... idk was super weird to me :/
edit: i posted this when i got to the first 1/3 of ep 7, i just unpaused it and WTF the entire TVCC team is giving mild homophobia
edit #2: GUYS i & i think most ppl understand he's from alabama (?) and he was raised with these views but THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE TO CONTINUE ACTING THAT WAY π i understand why he thinks the way he thinks but that doesn't make it ok to be homophobic.
edit #3: i said what i said and i stand by the fact that i think he's homophobic to some extent but i also mean he is the epitome of toxic masculinity and i think his masculinity is very fragile, to the point that he won't even smile LMAO
Either canon or legends, obviously
I'm sure everyone who's played enough knows what I'm talking about. Sometimes you just look at the Rosh pit for example, and even though you have no vision in there you can see the effects of some spells through fog. Or you're in jungle and realize that someone's farming a nearby camp for the same reason. It seems pretty random as to when/why this happens, but it happens with a lot of AoE spells like Nethertoxin, Void Spirit's Dissimilate, etc. Imo this should be treated as one of the most game breaking bugs in the game but it's barely ever talked about. Randomly getting map hack and getting information like that the enemy team is doing Rosh, can completely change the outcome of games and I wouldn't be surprised if the bug has affected the outcome of a few pro games as well. And this should be unacceptable in a competetive game where the vision/information game is absolutely crucial.
Hope this can be fixed, a beautiful game like Dota doesn't deserve such a game breaking bug.
edit: example. Notice how the spell isn't even showing correctly, only 2 rings are visible, it's clearly not intended.
Does anyone else find the transformation challenge problematic? Our studio also doesnβt have a body scanner so this competition is based ONLY on weight loss.
Not only does this centre success around weight loss only and perpetuate a weight/size bias, but can encourage restrictive or poor eating habits for some, can perpetuate negative body image, and can be physically and emotionally harmful! This encourages people to form unsustainable habits to lose weight quickly (often ending in failure - which is a sucky feeling). Further, people lose weight at different rates and itβs an unfair measure of success. Weight management is so much more than eat less and exercise more.
Donβt get me wrong, I love a good competition. But maybe instead of weight focused this could be goal focused. Set a goal, meet the goal, get put in a lottery for the money.
So I want to hear from others. What is a non weight related goal you want to reach? For me - catch me doing one push up by the end of the transformation challenge. I can only do push ups on my knees and I want to work towards doing one in the original position. This is a realistic goal and I canβt wait to achieve it! And not pay $35 to do so.
Looking to find more seemingly genuine, good people to watch.
I just found Jonna Jinton yesterday and Iβm really enjoying her videos. Sheβs top tier for me right now.
I also like Alisha Marie, Remi Cruz, LaurDIY and their friend group. I appreciate the growth theyβve all had in the recent years
I also like Simply Nailogical, Beatrice Caruso, April Lauren (Wake Up Bright), Sierra Schultzzie, Safiya Nygaard, Shannon Boodram, Mia Maples, and Roll with Cole and Charisma
Iβve been watching Laura Lee and MannyMUA recently and I know theyβre controversial but I do think theyβve grown a lot from their mistakes and I like the content theyβve been putting out recently.
Also, Iβm open to hearing if thereβs reasons why I shouldnβt be supporting those that I currently watch
Edit: Iβm so happy that I posted this! So nice to see so much positivity and how diverse this group is! My husband just deployed so I will definitely check out these channels with all of this extra time I now have!
I know weβve all seen enough P&M posts already but I felt like some of us are forgetting something. Sure Paulβs reaction to the pregnancy seems awful and I too doubt that he is happy, but Iβm still somewhat hoping that itβs just shock.
Now for Morgan.. She is a fundie too and she too thinks they should have sex scheduled, every other day. We shouldnβt forget: Paul was raised in this weird shit, Morgan was not! If youβve seen their latest βsteamy marriage vidβ & the pregnancy announcement youβll know:
Which one doesnβt belong here?!
In conclusion: I think Morgan is just as bad, I donβt feel bad for her and given her family, I think she definitely had a way out.
Sorry for the rant xx
EDIT: someone asked why I censored the word sex and I forgot this sub is called uncensored so I un-censored ;)
EDIT2: some ppl were saying, rightfully so, that planning sex when trying to get pregnant (or maybe even in general) is normal behaviour. I agree to an extent. My comment is about Paul saying his feelings will get hurt if they donβt have sex every other day and I think thatβs sad. EDIT2.1: MOD asked to remove comment about Muslims as we donβt snark on Muslims. I snarked on Christian fundies who get mad at Muslims, but I understand the confusion and obviously want to comply with rules so I removed it. Thatβs enough Reddit for me, thanks for reading.
I was 12-19 when GG aired and my mom never said anything to make me mindful about certain scenes/dialogue/etc as we watched so it took a lot of unlearning in my 20s to realize how problematic a lot of it is.
One example β good dads donβt show up when youβre 16 for the FIRST time!! I thought that scene with him taking Rory for a ride on his motorcycle was so fun when I saw it in 6th grade but as an adult I realize how crazy it is that he never once visited stars hollow all those years?!?! And they totally glossed over that.
What do you see differently as adult?
I'm just fairly bitter at the way this is being handled at this point and what this might mean for what's coming up ahead.
There is almost no person who thought this league was going to be lackluster.
There is almost no person who still doesn't think this could have been amongst your Top 3-5 most well received leagues so far.
And yet somehow the decisions made prior and post launch only led to having worse retention than the league with the most harsh nerfs so far.
Is people farming T4 Tower what was envisioned with moving away from crafting? If not for some QoL and Mageblood/HH hunting it seems the player bleed would have been even bigger.
How long can the game go pretending that drops are meaningful and as such having the leisure to keep on punishing crafting and non-meta builds?
And that's after the promises for "better communication" no less.
I don't know. Call me whatever, but maybe TheVision is a bit myopic? What do all the teams involved with this even think at this point when the most hyped mechanic in recent years ends up this short?
What I mean is simple: Aang killing Ozai was never an option. I think that even if the show aired in Cartoon Network rather than Nickelodeon, Aang wouldn't be allowed to kill Ozai. If you think that Aang killing Ozai is what the show should have done, it would still be impossible to do even if the creators wanted to do such (and they never wanted Aang to kill Ozai, the plan was always for Aang to take Ozai's bending away). Avatar really backed itself into a corner with the arc of Aang killing or not Ozai. It's a part of Aang's character arc that was always doomed to never be fully satisfyingly solved. It's a flaw, but it doesn't hurt my experience and love for Aang and the show as a whole.
Contrary to what some people say though, Aang's no-kill rule makes perfect sense for his character (he was raised pretty much as a pacifist buddhist monk), and it's not something that appeared out of the blue in the finale, and it does not contradict his previous actions in the series (let's also not forget how Avatar's inner logic works, characters don't die unless explicitly shown to, this also makes me remember a scene from BTAS in which Batman throws from a great heigth some thieves from a plane and into the water below, but it's clear that the show doesn't want us to think that Batman actually killed those thieves).
I haven't read the Kyoshi novels, but I have heard that they reveal that Kyoshi once uphold a no-kill rule similar to Aang's, but she was forced to drop it due to circunstances. And ultimately she came to believe that she needed to put fear in others, and kill if necessary, if she was to be an effective Avatar, specially considering her lack of the amazing charisma and skills in diplomacy that Avatar Yangchen had. Kyoshi does not enjoy killing or bloodbaths, it's only a last resort. She wants order above all, maybe even too much order.
