Tried to get a routine consultation with my local GP, which was an exercise in futility. On hold in the queue system only for the call to get lost a couple of times after 45 minutes on hold each time. Eventually get through only to be told no more appointments today, no you can't book one for tomorrow, try again tomorrow morning. Absolute BS!
I then sit on hold for 111, 2 hours later, I gave up. The ailment can't be treated by the Pharmacist...etc. I will not gum up A&E either..
I found an online private doctor. Paid my £45. Got a professional consultation over the phone, off to get my meds on a private prescription.
Absolute joke. If you have a minor ailment and the pharmacy can't sort it, I think you are a bit screwed at the moment unless you shell out to go private. I simply cannot understand why you can't book an appointment for tomorrow if the doctors are too busy today...?

I've been scouring the internet looking for honeymoon destinations. My fiancé is very "as long as I'm with you" when it comes to honeymoon planning and although it's very cute and I love her, it's not very helpful when trying to plan the absolute perfect getaway. I'm trying to find a beach-like, adult only resort that gives us a very private honeymoon. A private pool and/or hot tub and/or beach would be perfect. Obviously excursions and stuff won't be private and I know that, but for the suite/room I am looking for anything, anything beautiful, intimate, and private with a great view.
Any resorts come to mind? Literally any ideas for any parts of the world would be appreciated!

I'm really trying to find affordable fountain pens and inks, and those two brands aren't that expensive and their distributor is close to Montreal. I'm just not super familiar with them.

I'm a self taught intermediate, started last season and logged about 15 sessions and feel comfortable on blues, linking turns, mostly sliding but starting to work on board angle for carving by seasons end, and a few box hits and small jumps. I've got my gear and pass sorted and plan to hit it hard this coming winter. I want to take some lessons to aid progression and identify weak spots and bad form, and it seems like private lessons are way more focused, time efficient and productive.
I've read on this and some other Reddits and forums the risks of trying to find an independent instructor, and the risks for the instructor. But I've also read a lot about how shitty the resorts pay the instructors and that doesn't seem fair, to me or the instructor. The argument that they take a huge cut to cover the expense of maintaining the hill seems odd to me, I'm already paying for my hill access whether I use an instructor or not. I'm having trouble getting past me paying $80/hr and the trainer getting $20 or so.
Advice please on whether to book through resort, find an undercover freelancer, ask around in FB groups for someone who wants a lift pass and some beer in exchange for helping me out, something else I don't know about? What is the best option for me, and the fairest for the instructor?
