Hello! I am in the process of trying to open a pool hall in Chicago. I am STRUGGLING at figuring out what to call it. We are going to have a full-service, sit-down restaurant with full bar attached to the pool hall. I don't know how to reflect all of that in a name. The only thing I've thought of is Carom Corner but I don't really like that. All (serious) suggestions are welcome!
I love the game. Looking for a good spot to practice and learn
Last time I went there, they were closed for maintenance until Dec 23rd and since then I've been trying to call in but no one picks up. Has anyone been in the plaza recently?
I hope it's not because of covid and that they are just saying it's maintenance.
Edit: thanks for the update guys!
Hello all! I posted this, almost verbatim, in the Japan Travel subreddit and they told me to ask y'all. I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but I'm gonna give it a shot.
I'm an American living in Japan for the next 3 years or so. I'm located southwest of Tokyo (Kanagawa area), and I'm looking for a relatively cheap, foreigner friendly bar/pool hall establishment, if those exist. I'm hoping for the kind of place that will let me sip brown liquor, shoot pool, and smoke with a few friends, on a tight budget.
Is there any places like this? I haven't explored the night life much, mostly afraid of pissing off the good people who actually live here, but I'm finally trying to get out a bit. A little advice would be useful.
Thanks much!
Like can I go in right now? I live on CAC so don't want to make the trek just to realize it's not open. Thanks!
There used to be a pool / snooker place on mountain road by NBCC back in the 90s. It was by a rug place and Fabricville. Any one remember what it was called????
Hey guys, I'll be staying in Cambridge for the next week or so and was wondering if there are any pool halls/tables around campus? Thanks :)
Thanks in advance.
