A list of puns related to "Pivotal Games"
We got the same amount of wins. Letβs hope that Christian Wood feasts against his former team.
Discuss.
If Canucks do manage a crazy run to sneak into the playoffs they would also need one of EDM/MTL to shit the bed. It was unclear which one exactly would be the one that tanks but next week could determine it. WE NEED 3 REGULATION LOSSES. DOESNT MATTER WHICH TEAM. TEAM CLEAN SWEEP.
What was the critical thinking/reasoning that went into making dragon souls?
It feels like the game is dictated by dragon priority, and 70% of the game is just a bot river fist fight. I feel the game lost so much complexity in cross map plays, and mid-late game wave control strategies simply because if you aren't at the dragon deathmatch you give up a massive teamfight buff. It just seems like they killed strategy and macro gameplay with a single change. I like the idea of the elemental rift. I dont like the execution of dragons.
#Introduction
Inspired on this post by u/FunkHunter84, I wanted to build the "Most Exciting Game".
Using Baseball Reference's "Championship Win Probability Added" (more information on cWPA here) and my Stathead subscription, I looked to build this hypothetical game based on the highest cWPA for individual plays based on the inning it occurred.
#Methodology
Using Stathead's database, I asked for all postseason plays since 1903 in a given inning, sorted by cWPA. Given this information, I scrolled through the top-10 plays, then plays 11-25, and plays 26-50 to see if there were games/innings that had multiple plays. I informally weighted multiple plays in a certain range to a greater degree compared to the overall cWPA for a given inning (for example, I preferred an inning with 3 plays that fell within the top-30 that summed to 35% cWPA over an inning with 1 play that provided 37% cWPA).
I don't intend for this to be authoritative in any sense, as there are compelling arguments to justify alternatives for virtually every inning listed, but hopefully you enjoy reflecting on all the great games listed below.
(Major thanks to Baseball Reference and SABR for their databases and tools. I'm also appreciative for the highlights and archived games on YouTube, along with Sam Miller's ranking of every World Series played.)
#The "Most Exciting Game"
##First Inning
Game 7, 2011 World Series (Texas Rangers at St. Louis Cardinals)
Plays (with cWPA and ranking among all postseason plays in the given inning)
This game is overshadowed by the events that occurred less than 24 hours prior, but it provides a hearty level of suspense to how things started. The first 4 Rangers batters reached base in the top of the inning, with Ian Kinsler caught stealing and Elvis Andrus walking ahead of the two plays that made our list, consecutive RBI's from Hamilton and Young. Cardinals starter Chris Carpenter was able to a

I get it it seems totally cringe and forced.
But, it makes total sense in context. It is meant to be forced laughter. Try forcing yourself to laugh hard out loudly... it will not be pretty. They also acknowledge how awkward it is. For the life of me I cannot understand people who deride FFX due to this scene. At worst it makes total sense in the context of the moment. At best it marks Tidus and Yuna growing closer despite terrible circumstances and is one of the greatest video game cutscenes of all time. IMHO it helps solidify FFX into the second best Final Fantasy, only behind VI.
YES
For me it has to be the bridge. So until this point, obviously everyone love playing as ellie as everyone thought this was going to be the game essentially. The transition to Abby was bold and paid off but it's not until you get to the bridge section on day 2 does it really suck you into the Abby storyline.
Day 1 is great and especially the Forrest section, making your way through the ship yard and finally the cruise ship itself. Bit it's not until you reach the bridge section where the bond with Abby is actually made and you properly become invested with the story and with lev.
I'm mid second play through and it's just amazing.
For the ones out of the loop, the Heat have won their playoff series so far in this order.
1st round: Needed 4 games.
2nd round: Needed 5 games.
Conf. Finals: Needed 6 games.
Finals: Need 7 games to win it all.
Obvious conclusion.
But Lakers are also in it too.
1st round: Lakers won in 5.
2nd round: Lakers won in 5.
Conf. Finals: Lakers won in 5.
Finals: Need 5 games to win it all.
If the trends continue, next game tells us who the winner of the Finals will be. If the Heat win, they'll go on to win in 7. If the Lakers win, they'll go on to win in 5.
Simple math. This is how math works.
I have a hard time early game as Vayne, seems I just always get smacked or caught and cant trade too well. Once I get past early, I tend to steamroll, but the poor early can definitely have poor consequences at times =/.
