A list of puns related to "List of third person shooters"
I've found that although the controls work great for most games I've tried, shooters are still a bit hit and miss (pun intended) when it comes to the Win's analog sticks.
So aim assist is huge for me when playing shooters on the Win.
Does anyone know of a list of games that have aim assist? I'm mostly looking for single player experiences, as multiplayer shooters on this thing would seem pointless. :)
Seriously you can do combos with your ability and rest of the guardians are basically your "Ebony and Ivory" for assists like stunning or holding a enemy down.
You even have your own style meter that ranks up the more you do a streak.
This is going to be a really lame description but I remember very little.
All I remember was that there was this giant froglike alien with a split mouth that was tanky as hell. It could stick its tongue out and swallow you and then you would be transported inside its stomach where a bunch of spiderlike aliens overwhelmed you and killed you.
Other details I remember:
Kinda Jungle-y
Male player character
.
My older brother played this game for like a week and I always asked him to "fight the frog" and now I want to remember what game it was.
I am liking F New Vegas but it just doesn't feel the same as F 1 and 2 which are more relaxing to play because of the turn system. Thoughts?
Finally picked this up on a deep sale ($14), finding some stuff to like about it but god damn does the shooting feel weightless. The guns would sound bad for a F2P game released 5 years ago.
Hi,
First of all I want to thank whoever takes the time to reply to this post. I've been trying to find this game by myself for a while and I have given up multiple times as my "googling" skills are not the best. Here are the details to the best of my memory.
Platform(s): PC / Could be a flash game
Genre: Third-Person Shooter Set in a Fantasy World with some RPG(Character Upgrade) elements.
Estimated year of release: Early 2000s
Graphics/art style: Blocky (minecraft-esque) 3-D Graphics
Notable characters: The main character was probably a male with blond hair and blue outfit. (Not too sure about the color, but was definitely male). Cannot remember any other characters.
Notable gameplay mechanics: You play a character that has a shooter arm to defeat monsters in progressive levels. You progress from island to island and collect orbs(or some form of collectible) by defeating bosses at end of each level. You fly between islands using a flying mount.
Other details: The blocky graphics are the most prominent memory. The name of the game may start with the letter "B".
Congrats to Videogamesg33k (and friends) for their Shantae cover: https://youtu.be/PMA7pbOUznw

I used to play this with my dad 10-15 years ago so I'm not sure if my memory is 100% accurate here. The game is in 3D. The setting is some space-looking/mechanical facility. You go around shooting boxes to acquire new weapons and kill enemies. You advance to the next level by finding ways to open doors. There are hostages that you can free by touching them. These hostages sit on the floor and seem to get sucked up into the sky once they are freed. The loading screen of the game is the back of a muscular, half-naked man with a letter X at the back of his head. This is all I can remember. Needle in a haystack but hope someone knows this game too!
Edit: it was dark void. Thanks u/BuiltNerdTough
Platform(s): PS1/PS2/XBOX
Genre: Third-person action shooter, Sci-Fi and maybe Fantasy
Estimated year of release: Early 2000's
Graphics/art style: Visually similar to maybe Final Fantasy X or Dino Crisis 3. Japanese style. Futuristic space themes.
Notable characters: Monster/Insect like enemies
Notable gameplay mechanics: Your gun was customizable/upgradeable as you earned xp or similar. Weak smaller enemies would occasionally swarm you. Individual levels, not open world.
Other details: I remember a level on a train. I rented it, so I only played it a few times, but it left an impression!
It's a relatively new game, it was a third person shooter where you were playing this very armored guy who had a lot of agility, and the game basically consisted of you shooting giant robot enemies while sliding and jumping around.
It's a rather vague description but that's the most I can remember.
This is a longshot because there's not much I can provide or remember about the game. I don't think it was a triple A title. The game was, I believe, open world. There are vast, sprawling plains or rocky mountains and deserts, I believe. I vaguely remember some shooting in the game but I'm not sure. I believe it was low budget because it wasn't quite clear what your objective is and there wasn't really a tutorial or clear directions. I found it hard to find enemies, but that may have just been me being a stupid toddler.
Futuristic third person shooter, if played with a 2nd player you are a woman. Fighting some alien monsters in a spaceship. When monsters are killed they explode in pieces. I also recall elevator at the start with fixed camera angles, and tall vertical health bars
I think they should take a page out of what Disney is doing with Star Wars. Make mainline Halo games and then make spinoff stories every other year. Hell, you don't even have to call those games Halo.
Third person shooters is something of a rarity despite how common the perspective is in the action adventure genre.
What are some of the better third person shooters on the PS4?
I just recently watched John Wick and i cant think of any game better than max payne 3 to feel like john wick lol . I would appreciate some other suggestions or something better if there is any !
I replayed max payne 3 recently so i dont wanna play it again.
This game got me in that mood. Im about to start division 2 after i beat it. Any other reccomendations?
Platform(s): PC, Windows XP or below
Genre: Third Person Shooter. A rotatable camera was locked behind the player at all times, positioned upwards looking slightly down. The objective was to shoot and destroy military bases while eliminating enemies and dodging fire.
Estimated year of release: 2000-2008, found on a freeware/magazine disc in Europe (specifically Poland).
Graphics/art style: The game was always set on alien planets made up of two clear layers of terrain: walkable ground or cliff-like walls the height of the player. I remember it attempting to have realistic graphics, though perhaps slightly stylised. So, the environment was probably made up of dirt-orange for terrain and metal-blue for buildings, different for each planet.
Notable characters: The main character was a fully armoured soldier in yellow/orange, and notable enemies included large alien bugs, and flying drones(?).
Notable gameplay mechanics:
The player moved with WASD and rotated the camera with left/right mouse movement. Shooting was done by the mouse button and had weapons such as rifles, grenades/grenade launchers.
All buildings and terrain (the wall layer I spoke of) were destructible. The player would create tunnels by shooting the terrain to get through to another enemy spot or hide. The terrain did not support vertical destruction, so shooting terrain dug long cylinders rather than spheres into terrain.
Other details: Also remember it having a built-in music player with rock/electronic music as the soundtrack.
EDIT: There was no terrain elevation, just ground and destructible walls/cliffs which you weren't able to climb up as there were no jumps. The destruction of buildings wasn't fancy, just a model change with some smoke particles. The graphics did seem to have textures especially for grass.
