A list of puns related to "Physiotherapy Evidence Database"
Evidence based physio is primarily based in exercise prescription.
Is this how you treat patients?
Most patients don't like to be prescribed exercises.
For simple spasms etc, normally it can be treated with some simple hands on work.
But for significant postural compromise and long term well being, a little hands on work can ease the pain and free up their mobility initially, but correct muscular activation by way of insightful exercise work seems to be regarded as the most effective path to long term MSK well being.
Is this the base you work off, and if not, what is your base?
If you have any specific links to supporting articles/papers that assert the evidence behind your treatment approach, I'd be glad to click on/read them.

Mary Catherine Edwards, 31, was found dead in the upstairs bedroom of her townhouse by her father in Beaumont Texas on Jan. 14, 1995.
A Reynoldsburg man is charged with capital murder in the death of a Texas teacher in 1995. Mary Catherine Edwards, 31, was found dead in the upstairs bedroom of her townhouse by her father in Beaumont, Texas on Jan. 14, 1995. DNA evidence and a genealogy database led police to arrest Clayton Foreman, 61, of Reynoldsburg.
According to a court affidavit obtained by KBMT, police matched DNA from Edwards' home to Foreman thanks to a genetics website. The affidavit says that investigators identified second cousins of the suspect from the website and were able to work up a family tree. "Detectives obtained further DNA samples (30 DNA files were voluntarily submitted) from additional distant family members," the affidavit said. Those DNA samples led investigators right to Foreman, the affidavit says. "DNA collected from the trash run of Clayton Foreman's residence is a match to the DNA extracted from the semen collected from Edwards' body in 1995," the affidavit states.
During their investigation into Foreman, detectives discovered he pled guilty to raping a classmate at Forest Park High School in 1981. In that case, police said that Foreman gave the victim a ride home after finding her stranded at a gas station. Police say Foreman "bound her hands behind her back with a belt and held a knife to her throat" before sexually assaulting her. Police say that the 1981 rape had a number of similarities with Edwards' murder. Edwards was last seen alive on January 13, 1995. Her parents became concerned after phone calls went unanswered. When they went to her house to check on her, they found her drowned in an upstairs bathroom. The probable cause affidavit says that Edwards was found in a bathtub with her hands handcuffed behind her. Evidence at the time showed that she had been sexually assaulted before she was killed, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety. "There are numerous similarities in the 1981 case and the Edwards' murder," the affidavit states. "First, Edwards and the first victim both went to high school with the suspe

https://www.karger.com/Article/Fulltext/501215
Dear Editor,
Studies disagree whether antidepressants may trigger suicide attempts in adults with major depression. Some meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials (RCT) found significantly elevated rates of (attempted) suicide in antidepressant arms relative to placebo [1, 2], whereas others did not [3, 4]. A recent study by Khan et al. [5] likewise found no statistically significant differences between antidepressants and placebo, but their study was based on patient exposure years (PEY). This approach has been questioned [6], since the vast majority of (attempted) suicides in RCT occur within the first 3β4 weeks of acute treatment [2]. Patients who do not tolerate the drugs are more likely to terminate trials early due to adverse events [7], for example because of extreme agitation/akathisia, which may trigger suicide attempts [8]. Population-wide, register-based observational studies confirmed that the suicide risk is highest during the first few weeks after treatment initiation and close to zero thereafter when there is no change in the dosage [9]. Statisticians stressed that PEY must not be applied when hazards (i.e., the risk of adverse events) are not constant over time [10]. Since the constant-hazard requirement for (attempted) suicide is violated in antidepressant trials, PEY may obscure a truly increased suicide risk related to the initiation of antidepressants. Therefore, FDA regulation requires that suicide events are analyzed based on the number of patients randomized to treatment arms, and this is the method the FDA applies in its own evaluations [3].

I used to be able to find playlists with tons of footage, but now they must have changed their algorithm to promote partners or something.
M.K. Davis is a great resource, but I can only handle so many videos with him pointing a camera at a screen.
Is there a collection available somewhere else on the net?
Hey everyone!
I graduated from York U in 2020 with a BSc in Kinesiology. I am now studying MSc PT at University of Toronto. I also got accepted into Queen's and Western, but ultimately choose Toronto, and I don't regret it one bit!
I thought I'd give back to the York U community because I loved my experience there. That's a little about me, so feel free to ask anything!
PLEASE NOTE: Please do NOT send me a DM. I will NOT respond to them, as I want everyone to see every question and answer, so everyone can benefit from this experience. Thanks!
Let's hear it! :)
