A list of puns related to "Philadelphia Greek Mob"
They're not brought up in MSoN or the show. Atlantic City/South Jersey i.e. the Pinelands was mentioned many times during in the series, and this was Philly's territory.
As a side note: Pesci in his heyday would have made an excellent Philly Mob Boss Little Nicky Scarfo who killed off many of his own guys as he was paranoid they were out to get him.
I watched the Netflix movie βTrue Storyβ that has the Greek mob as the secondary antagonists. It shows them doing loan sharking and blackmail.

On this week's episode of Parts Now Known, the guys try their best to recap The Greek Islands episode which unfortunately is amongst the worst Parts Unknown episodes of the entire season. After extracting as many interesting tid bits as they can, they debate the merits of Ben's current binge watching efforts, Bravo's Below Deck, before checking off the episode categories and updating their episode rankings. When Skip Lapari goes to Pussyβs house and talks about the βmergerβ, aka Philadelphia putting pressure on the shy business (βThatsh been going on shince Motheth wore thort panthsβ). Couldβve seen some Philly monsters, maybe Tony uses them as an ally against NY, idk. Missed opportunity imo
My grandma was telling me about when she first dated my grandfather. This would have been the mid 60s. She lived in an apartment on Chestnut St. in center city Philadelphia. At the time, a mobster lived above her. Thereβs more to the story than that and it got me really curious to learn more, basically Iβm trying to figure out more about that mobster! She thinks he was called βBlack Patβ or something like that. She thinks he operated in south jersey and/or Philadelphia. Donβt have much more info than that. She thinks it would have been 1964 but couldβve been anytime in the 60s after 1963 (when she graduated college). Iβve googled and googled and canβt find anything on this guy. Anyone want to help me find out about this guy? Or possibly know who sheβs talking about?

I have been very interested in the latter part of Byzantine history and was intrigued by this city. While most of Asia Minor fell to the Turkic invaders Philadelphia still stood. What was life like in a cut of Roman City? How did they maintain their independence surrounded by a Sea of Turkic Emirs? I am also incredibly confused on why the Roman Emperor Aided the Ottomans in sieging and eventually capturing the City in 1390.
