Forever coming soon.
On May 3rd, three days ago, DJ Rasta Root (Executive producer of Phife's upcoming LP Forever) started an Instagram Live to promote Phife's latest single "French Kiss Deux".
Before finishing the Live he played a snippet of an unheard song, which is going to be in the album, and at the end, you can hear Ms. Lauryn Hill saying "Yo".
Fortunately, I recorded the Live and uploaded said snippet on Youtube. DJ Rasta Root doesn't specifically say it's her, you can judge by yourselves.

Edit (05/07): It's also probable that the featured artist is Rapsody since the producer of the song is Khrysis and he is a regular Rapsody collaborator.
This week, Tribe on Instagram posted three different videos describing the creative process that brought Nutshell to life:
The Beat - @phifeforever tells us about how he and @djrastaroot came up with his single, βNutshellβ, that came out in 2016 on Smokinβ Needles Records. We also celebrate J Dillaβs birthday (2/7). Happy Birthday to the best to ever do it!#phifeforever
The Inception - @phifeforever tells us about his thought process for creating the rhymes for βNutshellβ. This is from the mind of an MC. #phifeforever
The Verse - @phifeforever tells us about recording the verse for βNutshellβ w/ @djrastaroot and @jonbonus (Engineer) in Denver. This is from the mind of an MC. #phifeforever
@ATCQ on Instagram - Nutshell Part 2 is the first single off of Phifeβs upcoming album, βFOREVERβ. Executive Produced by DJ Rasta Root on behalf of The Estate of Malik I. Taylor and his loving family
Consequence held an album listening party for Things Are Different NowΒ EP on Monday. At the top of the event, he revealed heβd been diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder lupus in June. At first, Cons β who already had Type II diabetes β says he couldnβt figure out what was going on with his health and feared it was COVID-19. But instead, he was told he had the same disease the legendary producer J Dilla battled prior to his 2006 death.
>I was already Type II diabetic with no diabetes symptoms. I was subject to anything autoimmune-related. I went to Paris β I donβt want this to sound like rich n-gga problems because I almost died β but Iβm flying from one jet from Los Angeles to Paris and Paris to Los Angeles, and I get to L.A. and I canβt fucking move. So I go to urgent care β and this is when COVID was first shaking β so I was was like, βFuck, maybe I got COVID.β
Iβm in the urgent care and the lady is like I donβt know if we need to do the q-tip or not, so Iβm like, βLetβs not do it.β I went back to New York and stayed in the crib for like three weeks. Then the quarantine was actually in effect, and I started getting worse and worse and worse. I actually gotta thank Kim Kardashian βcause it got the point I called Ye and he had her call me, and they set me up with an urgent care in Uptown βcause it was not going away.
All my cells were on fire and thatβs why I couldnβt move and shit,β he adds. βI was fucked up, never in my life fucked up like this. But Godβs will is Godβs will. Eventually, it was discovered what it was. Literally, Iβm so fucking crazy I flew to Wyoming at 107 pounds.
I put a picture up of me and Caidenβs birthday party and I was probably like a buck-fourteen, but I was happy because I worked to get to that because I got hit with a double whammy. My diabetes went from Type II to Type 1 with the lupus βcause I had to take steroid that runs your sugar up. Because I didnβt know none of this shit, I was still eating the same shit and it was actually melting from the inside.
Cons admits he lost his voice for two months and could only speak in a faint, raspy whisper. The uncertainly of his condition had him facing death for the first time in a very real way. He admits it temporarily stripped away his courage and bravado, and he would often find himself crying in the doctorβs office at the thought of having to leave his son.
>I have what Dilla had and what Phife had as a

Mike Rapaport and I are pleased to present this blendtape tribute to Phife Dawg, on what would've been his 50th birthday Nov.20, 2020.
Few acts are lucky enough to reach the iconic status of ATCQ, and that's exactly what Phife was....an icon. Not only in music, but in pop culture in general. I was gutted to learn of his passing in 2016. His music meant a lot to me growing up, as it did to all of us, so I had to celebrate this milestone.
This project is also paying homage to Pharcyde's classic 'Labcabincalifornia', which also turned 25 this past weekend. There are already a bunch of ATCQ-themed tribute mixes to Phife, so I opted to go a different route and use his solo LP 'Ventilation'. I felt that Phife's bouncy flow matched up well with the soulful bounce of Labcab's production, courtesy of J Dilla, The Pharcyde, Diamond D, and M-Walk. So I fused the 2 together, and the result is 'DollarCabOnLinden'.
Happy 50th to Malik Taylor aka Phife Dawg aka The Funky 5 Footer aka The Trini Gladiator aka Phife Diggy aka 5 Foot Assassin aka Mutty Ranks!
This mix is also dedicated to our fallen brother DJ Spinbad. Rest in peace.
