Peter Thomson dies aged 88
Putting Australian golf on the map, Peter Thomson has died this morning aged 88. Arguably one of Australia's best ever golfers with 93 worldwide wins, he won the British Open 5 times, including 4 in 5 years from 1954-1958 (only Harry Vardon won more with 6), and the Australian Open 3 times across 3 different decades.
RIP to one of the greats.
