A list of puns related to "Overkill (band)"
Am I right or am I right? Some of the 90s and 2000s stuff may not stack up to their all-time greats exactly, but for the most part itβs still pretty decent thrash with some good groove influence. You just canβt go wrong with any of Overkillβs albums. The consistency of the quality is just chefβs kiss.
Not much has been able to rival Metallica and megadeth, not even slayer or anthrax or any of the other big thrash metal bands people talk about, usually it comes down to vocals cause I really hone in on vocals and whether I like them, I donβt really like slayers vocals much, anthrax is ok, and lots of others use growling and screaming which is cool but feels very overused and basic to me, thatβs why I love Metallica because great vocals and megadeth because I love his raspy, gravelly yet nasally, high pitched voice. I always love bands with unique vocals which is also why I love Iron Maiden, ozzy Osbourne, five finger death punch for the singers great range, Judas Priest, accept (specifically with mark tornillo), and now overkill. Funnily enough overkillβs vocalist is like a cross between mark tornillo and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden if they were in a thrash metal band, so long story short, Iβm kind of in love with overkill right now and havenβt heard a song I donβt like yet, and Iβm surprised this community literally has only 10 members
I'm aware it's a broad question and not Go specific, however, in my small freelancer business I worked with few projects and managed to follow them closely.
Now the projects are increasing in number and I need a way to collect their logs on my server for an easier handling and fast response time for bugs.
I've been browsing the ELK stack with all the bells and whistles but it seemed to me a very enterprise oriented solution, being alone in the development I don't want to kill myself with a complex and hard to setup\high maintenance solution.
Edit: For what's worth I work 99% of the times with docker containers which lives in the docker ecosystem of the client (their servers) where I have some freedom of configuration. Ideally I'd just leave the containers logs untouched (stderr) and pull them to my personal server through systems like ELK but possibly an easier and low maintenance version of ELK given that I handle a dozen of applications, their a likely to grow in number but we ain't talking about hundreds.
From here and the slack channel Loki (and the Grafana stack) seems reasonably easy and low maintenance, plus it is easier on the resources which is a bonus point since I'd prefer to use a solution on premise on my own server.

There are literally 12 people, itβs called overkillband for those wondering, I didnβt create it or anything, Iβm just tired of posting things knowing it wonβt be seen by anyone, so Iβm still a greedy attention seeking bastard either way
Hello, this is my first post here so apologies if it is slightly novice. I've been sat on the idea of purchasing a 3070 since before its launch, however as we all know the prices for them things are soaring due to the high demand. In this time, I have deliberated as to whether it is actually worth buying the card, as although the future-proofing would be nice, most of my games are relatively easy to run and I am not excited for any new products that have been revealed.
Atop of this, I have yet to witness the apparent godliness of post-1080p 60FPS gaming, and as far as I understand once you have seen that there is not much going back. I'm more than satisfied staying with this resolution, however once again should I want to upgrade the 3070 seems worth it.
Apologies for the ramble-y post, I kind of just wanted to write my thoughts down and get some outside opinions on my situation. My current PC specs are as follows, however I would of course upgrade to a beefier PSU if I purchased the card.
GTX 1050ti 4GB, Ryzen 7 1700, 2x8GB 2666MHz RAM, 224 (I think) GB M.2 SSD, a 2TB HDD and a 500W Riotoro PSU.
Thanks, Wise
Iβm a superintendent. Iβve worked everywhere from high end local private courses, to a top 100 course in Canada and a top 25 course in the world for a 6 month internship.
Ive also worked at some mid range public courses including the one I am the super at now.
Maintaining bunkers is already the most incredibly wasteful budget and labour sucks there is. The GCSAA once estimated that bunkers account for 30% of the materials and labour budget for most private courses.
White sand is not naturally occurring on golf courses. (Well⦠no sand is unless unless the soil is pure sand like Australia and Links courses) It has to be brought in by massive trucks and dumped load by load into bunkers.
Thenβ¦. Hereβs the kickerβ¦. Unless you have perfect drainage in every bunker? The moment you get a heavy downpour, all that beautiful white sand is completely contaminated with silt and washout so the staff ends up scraping an inch of it off, dumping it in a waste area, and adding new sand.
All for what? So they look pretty?
βTanβ coloured sand looks just as good, in my opinion it looks better because itβs a lot more natural looking and as long as itβs properly sifted and the grains are the right angular shape, they will rake and perform just as well for the golfer. Plus if it rains, they just need to be fluffed back up and theyβre good as new because the colour isnβt as important as maintaining that bleached white.
Something to consider if you are on your courseβs greens committee. Itβs an enormous expense for something purely aesthetic.
