Everyone, myself included, it seems, has an Ornament and Crime in their rack. I love the thing. It does, however, seem almost engineered to work with Temps Utile, which I see far less adoption of. Any speculation as to the reason for this?
So I’m looking to build my first rack and expand my semi modular and I want to start with the Turing machine, a quantizer, and another lfo, but from what I can tell the ornament and crime can handle all three duties and more. Is there something I’m missing or is this a no-brainer? Anyone else have an ornament and crime and have some feelings about it?
Hi everyone as many of you may know I’m totally blind. I know the ornament in crime would not be accessible to me because it is menu based. The raspberry pie is accessible for blind users so are there any programs for the Rasbury pie that emulate any ornament and crimes functions and features? Your help with this question would be most welcome kind regards trey.
I'm new to this all and two things are unclear for me.
- Is the "mini" version the same as the "micro" one? Both are announced as 8HP on different sites.
- Whats's the best place to buy a good quality pcb and aluminium panel for micro version in Europe? Or in the States, if shipping costs are not killing...
I see the websites like pushermanproductions, modular-addict, magpie modular but I have no idea if they offer quality products.
I've built an O_c and it works except for one big issue. CV inputs 1, 2 and 3 are jittering like crazy within -20 and 20 or so. No amount of retouching the joints seems to help.
The troubleshooting instructions on the O_c website mention checking the 75k resistors. When I measured them with a multimeter, they read 50k instead of 75k! So I replaced them. Before placing the new resistors, I'd measured them unsoldered (all good, 75k). However, when on the PCB, they read 50k. This baffles me a lot.
Any ideas what to check/re-solder? Thanks!
Is it a lack of ideas? If so, do what you should have done years ago and hold community contests for people to vote on. Problem solved.
Is it because it's a detailed weapon? Then make the ornament less frilly and let that be it's identity: a slimmed down Le Monarque isn't the worst idea.
Is it due to lack of use? if this was the case, it would probably be the most frustrating because you have shit ornaments for weapons that no one uses left and right.
I’m not an artist but even a palette swap should be relatively easy no?

Title says it all really, one of the reasons that Trials of Osiris IMO was better than Trials of the Nine was that it offered something for everyone. So the population was a healthy size.
Also it will be a disappointment if Trials rewards armour pieces over ornaments, as it's another set of gear to MW and there is so much RNG with armour we would be gimping ourselves wearing trials gear (as current season gear is 60+) unless we were very lucky with rolls.
Finally I really hope that prisms and ascendant shards are in the loot pool for high end rewards.
Played through the Dungeon last night and while it was a lot of fun I cannot really see myself playing it again. That is the point of the loot in a looter. It is there to encourage you to replay content.
Eververse has a really nice ornament set and the season pass has another. Meanwhile the Dungeon has the same armour as the moon. My boss drop was a helmet I already had drop 10 times(with an affinity I won't really ever use).
As someone who keeps up with all the paid content it is such a buzz kill to see all of this cool stuff in the game that is not directly attached to cool content like the dungeon. Raids are pretty inaccessible for most people so the Dungeon becomes the marquee piece of content. Missed opportunity.
Shooting boxes over and over for hours on end grinding faction tokens, showing my dedication to a class by completing an insane amounts of tasks for animated solstice armor, sweating and competing against other competent and competive players for a mysterious new friend and... I can't where them. Why? Locking the previous season IB ornaments only to, you guessed it, re-release as a full armor set - not ornaments. Why are old ornaments being hidden and locked on 2.0 armor? Why are only Eververse and Season pass armor moving forward with the ornament system? Yes, newer players get a chance at older gear, but I already have it, you're placing a time gate on content for content I already own! Bungie, this isn't how you "reintroduce older cosmetics" - you're making me do what I did before only through a new coat of paint and toggling the hide button on certain ornaments. That's not assumption, a "bug" proved you can place old ornaments on new 2.0 armor. We have got to talk about this.
We get to pick our armor perks, it'd be nice if ghost got the same treatment.

Title. There was no reason to do this. I'm aware it wasnt intended but what was it hurting? I really liked having some of my season 3 crucible ornaments on whatever gear. I'm lucky I still had some in my inventory but we cant pull them from collections anymore...why?

You said we could bring along all our Year 1 armor so all the grinding we put in farming all the different, great looking (!) sets with all their ornaments wouldn't get lost. But it kinda did. It was for nothing.
Year 2 armor is simply better than the old sets because of the perks. Using old sets feels like you put youself in a disadvantage. Well it doesn't only feel like it, you actually are making it more difficult for yourself.
Please make it possible somehow that I can get the armor I have in my collection with perks. The Year 2 loot pool is ugly and boring anyway. Yes, new players would not have all the same choices as Year 1 veterans then, but that's fine. We played during that time, they didn't. I grinded for that armor and ornaments, they didn't. So GIVE me what I grinded for a whole year. PLEASE.

Edit 2: since some comments mentioned it, yes I also think a transmog system would be the best solution and a wonderful feature. This has been asked for for so long, never with any response from Bungie.

It is ridiculous that we have so many cool sparrows that we can't use because they're only 150 speed, and Ghost shells that we can't use because they can't roll with the perks we'd like.
It would be a great system if our ghosts and sparrows we have now could work basically as they already do, but with a universal ornament slot that we can use to change the look of them into one of the other shells/sparrows that we have unlocked.
No rush, there is still about 4 weeks left, but I'm sure most people are rank 100+ by now.
