Thanks to u/jonadem posting the link, I got ahold of the openclipart archives as a zip file!

But uncompressed, it's over 60GB, and has a lot of stuff that should be rasters, not vectors.
By using SVGZ compression on large files, and webp compression on smaller files,
I was able to get the whole thing under 17GB, even after unzipping the 15GB zip file.
I also sorted by first letter, after sorting svg, svgz, and wepb into their own folders.
And as this was largly a project to learn to use a seedbox and test it, it is now hosted here:

The founder seems to have been a victim of identity theft, and the site's been down for months, and at some point there was a possible DDoS attack. I always thought it was a shame there was no torrents of the latest version, or any version since
Others online have tried but have been unable to find anything more than maybe a tenth of the data mirrored. I know a few people had scrapers though, so there's a chance someone here got pretty far.
Does anyone have anything more recent than 0.19? If so we should probably get a torrent going.
The "degenerate case" of a decentralized system is a folder you can hand someone on a flash drive that's still useful without a server.
I think it would be cool to compile a list of various things, for anyone wondering what they could mirror on Yggdrasil or such.
Beyond that, a list of basic services like NTP and IRC that could be mirrored on the mesh(Yeah, I know, not decentralized, but it makes mesh tech more useful right away) that people would like to see, would be pretty cool. I'm starting with what I can think of, but I'm sure there's others.
Zeal is an app that lets you download "docsets" online, and the full manuals for many programming languages and libraries are available.
Ever had to stop working because your internet's out at the office? Zeal partially solves that. There's "feeds" of docsets that could probably be mirrored.
Full dumps of Project Gutenberg are available, and torrents of OpenClipArt used to exist. I think everyone knows about that, but it's worth including.
Kiwix is an offline browser for wiki pages, and there's versions that can act as servers. Torrents are available for the actual .zim datafiles of things like Wikipedia, and even Stack Overflow!
NTP is how computers know what time it is. I'd love to see some NTP server on the mesh(By someone known and trusted). We don't need accuracy, just trustworthiness, because Chrony can combine untrusted accurate sources with high latency trusted sources.
NTP is unencrypted, so doing it over a mesh VPN actually makes a lot of sense despite the crappy latency.
Time zones are way trickier. A few people hosting something like the EZTime zone server might be cool(It just returns the offset data for the time zone you give it).
Mumble is a text/voice chat app that's rumored to work via mesh. Since you can allow guests, it seems like an excellent candidate for replacing HAM radio, although it may be hard to do in a "mainstream" way without the server becoming quite similar to those "Toilet repeaters" like that one in California.
The BitTorrent DHT can be used for a lot of other stuff besides BitTorrent, and is one of the few practical, non bandwidth intensive DHTs out there at the moment.
Many people build weather stations and the like as APRS reporting stations, and putting a weather station on the mesh would be cool.
Debian/Ubuntu/Etc repos are always cool. Being able to update your system via mesh would be nice

This is a this great open resource for clip art. My apologies if this is common knowledge, but I just discovered it today and thought it would be worth sharing. The last mention I could find about Openclipart after a search in this sub was from 6 years ago.

This is a handy extension which integrates Openclipart.org into LibreOffice Writer. Unfortunately, I've been unable to get it to integrate into Impress. It's no big deal, as drag and drop from browser to Libre works fine.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
